Absolutely no use to the community.
If you want news about jellybean, read one of the already well established threads about it.

He acts like this, because there aren't only about 5 custom roms based on the jb leak, a thread where is discussed what it brings, a downloadable nandroid backup, the odexed and deodexed stock versions, an Odin flashable and for sure the 2 leaks themselves and the dedicated thread about the official update, there has also been an article at the xda portal about the leak.
There is a reason why this forum has a search function.
And btw, the gs3 is the first non Google device which got at least a leak.

Agree. Coming from the opinion of a developer, if these leaked releases are dated correctly, it's unlikely that a final build will be released within a week. There are just too many changes to be implemented and tested reliably within 7 days. The fact that they're still changing things like renaming Dormant mode implies that they haven't even reached RC stage yet.
However, if these leaked builds are older than we think they are, then maybe.

I can actually see it. Test versions are bound to have issues and I bet they've ironed those out by the time the OTA's drop, which should be around the 29th for Europe and maybe later for Nordic countries and carrier specific bloat firmwares.
That's why they have updates

Also, ETA on when this will arrive?

hooray. you talked to some random person that says its coming out. CSRs will say anything to get you off the phone. This is not news.
Samsung is not AT&T, and AT&T will have the final say-so in an i777 official jelly bean. I will bet that it wont happen.
I don't think that rep knows what he's talking about. And even if it's true, who cares lol? We already have perfectly stable roms that will always be 10x better than anything Samsung releases.
At least be positive, I talked to them a week ago and they said no update,
And now, it may come in March.

@ josedramirez7 - For real, if Sammy does release the Jelly to i777, ATT won't (as stated in the earlier post) And heck, there in no turning back (at least for me) to go to Stock ROM (especially from ATT) that may break my phone again. I'll stick with what I have. I get better performance and battery life than stock. :silly:
I believe a while back, SS did indeed claim there would be an update to JB for the S2 (not specifically i777 version), so it's a good, high hope.
Throughout the history, SS does release the update, it doesn't mean AT&T users will get that update right away. AT&T has controlled the update of the firmware on all their phones.
Also, releasing an FW update, doesn't mean they will released the source code of the same time, maybe later, but not the same time, and for dev., source codes are what they need.

i highly doubt our ATT model will get it anytime soon. But to be honest, some of the roms they have here are way better than anything ATT gave us.
People on Reddit are claiming they are receiving 4.1 for their SII's now.
Title pretty much says it all. How different is the i605 from the t0lte? Is it safe to assume compatibility for roms/kernels? Until I hear definitively, I'll assume it is not. I know it's a different piece of hardware, but is it so different that I need to specifically seek out roms for the i605 rather than just using what I can find for the t0lte?

That's what I thought, but everywhere I look developers make a distinction between the verizon note 2 and the "regular" note 2. Cyanogenmod, for example, has separate builds for the two devices. Is that just to make guys like me feel secure? Because it in fact makes me worry more.
I know that cm tolte wont flash i tried thinking it was right and a no go so with that said..i dont really know :/
You know what, after further thought and digging. The get.cm site has two different builds (t0lte and i605). My fault. But it shouldn't be a huge problem if you accidentally flashed the t0lte build as opposed to i605.

Yeah, I forgot that t0lte and i605 are distinguished differently because of Verizon carrier specifics. But they are not far off in similarities.

with the above said can the t0lte CWM recovery be installed to make future flashes of the CM t0lte roms easier? Are the modems interchangeable as well? I care nothing about the verizon carrier/branding specifics for this i605.
Answered first Q, yes, the t0lte recoveries can be flashed and that will allow flashing of the t0lte CM roms.

Happy new year everyone.
I am not sure I open the thread at a right place. But I'd like to share something.
I built the latest cm11 for my htc one max yesterday, and NOW it is able to run into system.
The graphics is ok, hwcomposer also runs smoothly, but no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no camera, no mobile signal and etc, just a test version.
Here are some screenshots:

BTW: My phone is a China Telecom dual sim card variant(htc 809d/t6dwg), so I have no ideas that whether it will work on other variants. But since the hardware is almost the same, I think it is not a big problem. Source is here. My next plan is to get the WIFI workable.

2014/01/08:
WIFI/Bluetooth/Phone work now. Audio/Camera is broken. But I have found ways to fix the camera.

oh sorry I lost that. without source, the kernel is from stock rom. I just grab some kernel headers from htc one m7 for building the hardware library. But it is very unlikely to get the kernel soruce in our area.
BTW: if I wanna request the source from hTC, what do I need do, any suggestions @pradeepvizz?

Could you post the rom so we can try to flash it?

OK, but now it is just a test version. no connection at all. I will upload it when I am free.
Go to HTCDev and select the "Tell us what you want" tab at the bottom and you will contact Shauna at HTCDev

Hmmmmm and functionality carried over for major components? That's interesting. We are still waiting on source to drop to build but nice work around! Congrats bro!

Yeah. I am also waiting for dropping the source. The system partition is under write-protected status now.
BTW: I send my request to HTCDev someday ago, but they said that it is out of their support range. It was so frustrating.

Yeah. It is. Those monkeys don't know half of what you know. The actual dev team understands but those idiot customer service reps don't know ****.

Yes, the variant I get also can not get s-off at the same time, it also makes me frustrated. Anything else should we do to get the kernel source ASAP? it is so slow, the phone has already come out for two months.

Short of building one yourself, no. Just gotta wait on HTC to get off their ass. With Samsung we had a guy on the inside helping us out. I don't know anyone in HTC. So basically, we just wait. It sucks. But that's how it is for now.

sorry to be rude, but could you upload what you have done so far possibly, if not maybe just the boot.img? as im interested to see what you have done. If not im cool, still really impressed
Would be awesome to get a working Sprint variant for this!
