Hello,
I'm new here and i have a question about my gps on the gt-I9100.
Here on the site is a patch that solves the connecting problem on the GT-I9100 G.
So i installed the patch and then i noticed that it didn't work at all anymore. It was only then that i noticed that it was for the model GT_I9100 G
and not mine the GT-I9100. I didn't even know there was a G model. But alas the harm was done.
Now my question is, has anyone the original file for the gps of my model (so i could flash it back to normal)? I've been searching the site but couldn't find one, or a solution. I have ics 4.0.3 stock ROM, and I'm from belgium (don't really know if this is necessary to know).
Thanks in advance
If you link to what you've actually flashed, you can work out which files have been replaced/altered, aiding someone to be able to help you.
Here is the link

I took the gps_patch.zip for non rooted phones.
Since i was trying to fix it myself first, by now I am rooted. Dunno if it makes any diferrence for help.
Thanks in advance

An easy and brute-force solution is to simply re-flash stock rom.
You can find all sorts of roms in sammobile.com.
GPS.zip contains only a file, you can simply edit it manually and replace the content with the following entries:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Code:
NTP_SERVER=north-america.pool.ntp.org
XTRA_SERVER_1=http://xtra1.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
XTRA_SERVER_2=http://xtra2.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
XTRA_SERVER_3=http://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
SUPL_HOST=supl.google.com
SUPL_PORT=7276
That should solve your issue.
If you have a toggling issue (gps does not switch to on), use a kernel which contains the min freekb fix) like speedmod.
Good luck!

I recently bought a Galaxy S II here in Australia and it came with a stock Samsung firmware. Typing *#1234# gave this information:
PDA :- I9100XWKF3
Phone :- I9100XXKE7
CSC :- I9100XSAKE3
I have been flashing the phone over the weekend with custom ROMs but I didn't like any of them (some of them would not even connect to samsung's Kies software). I have been trying to find which firmware would restore my phone to its just-bought condition, but I can't seem to locate it in the SamFirmware.com firmware list.
Help please? Thanks.
Stock firmware or provider firmware in Dev section.

Actually, I've already been there. My problem is that, confronted with the unexplained alphabet soup that is the firmware names, I still can't seem to find one which matches the above details. Unless there's a convention I don't know.
information can be found on the following page. the last 5 letter+number in your PDA and Phone info are what you need to match the stock roms to your phone (in this case, XWKF3 and XXKE7). instruction is at the top of that page as well. hope it helps, buddy. best of luck!

A big thank you to dchn2 and intratech for their pointers (and intratech, again, for his wonderful stock firmware thread). I have no idea why it didn't come up when I did my searches but it has been a great read.
I flashed this ROM yesterday and so far everything has been working great except for one little detail. A few applications are being stretched off the screen. The two I've noticed this on so far are the ROM OTA Updater and the market app Fishing Superstars.
I tried completely wiping everything and reflashing the ROM several times but it's never made any difference. I'm starting to get frustrated and considering trying another ROM (but I like everything else about this one). Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?
Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. I can't get the OTA Updater to come back up but it cuts off the "Accept" button so I can't ever do any OTA updates =/

What Rom are you using? The dpi maynot be set correctly for that app. It's more than likely a Rom issue.

I'm using SOS M | VER 2.6.1 found here. For reference, here is what the OTA updater (included in that ROM) looks like when I try to apply the ROM update.

Anyone have any idea? I'd post this in the actual ROM thread but I don't have 10 posts yet =/
hello everybody.
Here is the story, a friend of mine tried to install a custom rom on its brand new galaxy s3 and messed all things up. He came to me and we installed back an original rom, but we got this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
for what I understand, he isn't able to make the modem work, and the camera maybe. He told me he have done "something" to the efs partition, so I thought he messed up that. But esf files are all there and it seems the phone still have a valid imei (353*********151).
We were unable to recover it so we restored everything, resetted the counter, and bring it to assistance for warranty. They told us that there is a crack in the main board and they have to change it
They also said that there is a problem with the screen and it has to be changed. But it seems fine to us!
They also told us that those operations are not covered by warranty, and we have to pay 270 euros!!
Now we are looking for an alternative solution. It sound strange to me that is a hardware problem, because it happened when my friend started to play with the OS. Any suggestion? anything we can try before changing the mainboard?
any help will be appreciated!!

XDA vs samsung assistance 3 - 0
Hi,
This is my first post in XDA. I'm pretty sure there are similar posts regarding my issue but none of them have solved my problem. My friend gave me his SGS3 T999 (T-Mobile). But the camera won't work, I just get the following message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've already tried the following:
1. Flash stock rom
2. Tried other camera apps
3. Tested both front and back cameras with *#0*# USSD code
It may be related but the Accelorometer doesn't work either.
Checked the firmwares:
Rear Camera
Cam FW Ver: GDFD06
Phone FW Ver: GDFI02
Front Camera:
Cam&Phone FW Ver: S5K6A3
I have a hunch, would it be possible to change the camera's firmware verson? That's the only thing I haven't tried so far. I read somewhere that the problem started when they updated the firmware.
Wrong forum. Hope you didn't flash anything from this forum, as it would ultimately result in soft or hard bricking.

Sorry. And thanks. I've been trying to find that but our internet connection wouldn't load past S5. -_-
So I went and restored my phone but it seems to be stuck on the optimizing apps/starting apps screen and won't go anywhere else? Anyway I can fix this? I've tried to flash a boost mobile (my carrier) stock rom but I get the same problem.

Which ROM/Kernel are you using? You can get better help if you post in that forum. If you're using stock rom, make sure you're flashing it in the right way, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/general/stocks-firmwares-moto-e-t3113235 for instructions.

@gameSTICKER has a good point. In addition, have you updated your partitions to the respective version of the ROM you are flashing? Out of curiosity, which build and version stock ROM have you flashed to your xt1526, are you using a custom recovery and, if so, what version?
