My bro just gave me his Lumia 800. I'm a noob on Win7.5 coming from Android world and can't figure out how to get Google Voice dialing to work. My calls all show the phone's native number. I've tried GoVoice and Metrotalk. Can someone give me some guidance? I've tried Googling around for solutions but can't find one. Sorry if this is something simple or basic, but I don't see an obvious solution.

I just recently upgraded to a Lumia 800 from an E51 and N8. With Symbian I was able to lock any application that I wanted to keep private. I've heard that Android has something similar that allows you to hide apps. I have searched Google for about 1 week with no success. I've also searched this forum but perhaps the keywords I chose were not accurate.
Is there a similar application for the Windows Mobile phones?
My apologies if this has been answered before.

Stef unfortunately there is no such application for Windows Phone yet, and I doubt there will be one as this would involve changes to the system files that would make it far more complicated than it is on Android and Symbian.
This is due to Windows Phone being much more 'closed' than either of the above two operating systems, which are both open source...

i would like to develop an small app that will manage the automatic switching on and off ("airplane" mode) in an exact time of day sim cards on my dual sim phone.
Unfortunatelly I don't now from where to start. i searched google and some forums regarding managing dual sim-s but didn't find anything usefull.
From where can i start? where to look for some kind of code samples or anything else that could help me?
Development will be done in java.

Spoken street names, yes you can have them, just download the voice package that handles them.
Changing vehicle types.... not sure and I haven't seen an option.
MY question... need to know if it's possible to find, download, and side load a voice package. I want to find the sexiest one I can find. lol

I have searched, found some so-called solutions, and tried, with no success.
Been wanting to use/authenticate with/ my Google Voice phone number, to my Whatsapp on my phone and have had no luck.
After much searching and trying I read that you can get a temp number to authenticate with then add your Google voice number but none of those worked.
The big problem is that Whatsapp tells me the Google Voice number I put in is not a valid USA number and it wont go any further.
I am willing to sideload an .apk but I am not rooted and dont want to be rooted on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.
Is there a solution?

I Desperately Need HELP!!! With the stock HTC/Android Voice Recorder App.
The app came*on my HTC One M9 and HTC says it's a stock Android*app. Google says it's an HTC app. I recorded a extremely important conversation with it and it said it Was Saved but I was dumb and didn't*get it off my phone. Apparently the app only uses a set amount of data even if there's more memory available, and rewrights over old recordings when the limit is reached without letting the*owner know. I desperately need to recover this*recording. It's my a matter of saving my life's work. I'm hoping in that the creator has a backup. Please help me find who created the app.

The best solution would probably be trying to contact the Google Play Store and ask them whether they can help you out.
