I have downloaded N64oid for my Nook Color, that is running Krylon360's AOKP ROM off a bookable SD Card, and whenever I try to open an .N64 File, in my case, I have Ocarina of Time, it reboots, and stays on the boot screen.
I have the same .N64 file on my Xperia Play, with the same N64oid APK file installed, and it works perfectly. It just loads with no problems.
What is the problem with my Nook, and how would I fix it? Thanks in advance
R800i. 'Nuff said.
I'm sorry for the bump, but I'd really like to know a solution to this. Thank you.
N64oid doesn't work on CM9 builds for Nook Color. It's recommended to use Mupen64 Plus instead, which works on the Nook Color.

Hey all..I'm sure somebody out there has ff7 running nicely on their nook color and I was wondering what were the right settings to use, as well as BIOS? I got it working but the sound is out of sync and the grplaphics are super blocky if the screen size isn't tiny.. thanks in advance!
I can sort of get FFIX to work.. but I think at this point we need a stable 2.2+ ROM with the hardware acceleration enabled to get a smooth experience with the emulator
I'm able to run ffvii but the sound is slooooow. Im pretty sure the blockyness is because you're playing a game designed to run at 320x240 stretched to a high resoluton. Any rom improvements wont fix that.
Dont play ff, but with other games on psx4droid ive noticed that earlier versions of the emulator are much faster. If you happen to have a backed up apk of a pre "v2" version it will run in general much faster....probably at the cost of compatibility and various features etc but ive had no problems
Psx4droid 1.7 plays ff7 very well on both nookie and stock b and n OS. I played all the way to the temple of ancients on my nook

Is that with Antialiasing turned on and also sound?
I was able to get my more current version to run great when I turned those features off, but of course it would be much better with sound..
FF VII Nook Color psx4droid 1.7 running great! 2.1 was laggy
Read the title. Just posting a success. Have fun!
V 1.7 doesn't have an anti alaising option

This does happen to me...The only way I can fix it is to completely shut down the Nook, then turn back on again..
Rebooted and downloaded new BIOS file and now its working.. need to get BT up and running before I can really play any games I'm interested in though

Has anyone gotten the PSX emulator to run on Nokie (eclaire) 1.0.1 ??
I can not get the NC to install the .apk
Here is the APP:
https://market.android.com/search?q=FPse+
Thanks!
FPSe is requires that you be running Android 2.2+. If you try to install it while running the default Barnes and Noble firmware, you will get a parsing error.
If you're running Nookie Froyo/HCv4/CM7 you should have no problems installing.
I've installed it, but while trying to open a .bin for a game (Tony Hawks Pro Skater) the app closes without spitting out an error.
The app description mentions that it supports .bin formats, but it hasn't worked for me. YMMV.
Fpse is working great for me on nookie froyo 6.8 on emmc
Should have mentioned, i am loading .bin files
Just a quick update for those not in know:
This program will be available for 2.1 eventually, just not at the moment. I'm pretty glad since I want to stick with stock for awhile.
How do you play a ps1 game without all the buttons?

I tried Gingerbread off SD card and it closes to desktop with no error for me as well when loading .iso.
any one know if the wiimote will work with this?
Thanks
Yeah, I got the Wiimote working on this and all the -iod emulators. Wiimote classic even works. I use this app:

Are their any other ways to get a game controller working with the nook?
I believe the only way right now is the latest CM7 that has bluetooth support.
Howdy y'all. This isn't really a device-specific question, but I have it on the Nook Tablet, so hopefully that's good enough to keep it here.
I've got FPSE running Final Fantasy VII on my NT, and I had a question of anyone who's played this game on this emulator before, even if on another device: How do I "switch discs" when it comes time to do so?
Thanks!
There is no built in switch disk option with that emulator? Does it let you save right when you need to change a disk? If it does, you might be able to just load the save file and start on the second disk and continue from there.
I'm certain when you reach the end of a disc it automatically takes you to the save screen, then you load the save with the next disc. Just curious, how does the music for FF7 sound on your nook, mine sounds choppy.
Sadly the sound is pretty lousy. Damn shame as the soundtrack was so epic.

I found this on another post here. Try installing psx4droid v2 1.1.2
I couldn't get psx4droid to work until I tried that version. The FF7 soundtrack sounds how it should but at the moment that game is slightly sluggish so I'm trying to find the right settings.
do you have a link for psx4droid apk?
thanks!

I can't post links yet but if you google psx4droid v2 1.1.2 mediafire should be the top page and that's where I got it.
Anyone else try nesoid, snesoid, n64oid, etc?
None work after I updated to ICS. I get the intro screen on the games and then a blank black screen and force close. There goes one of the best things about the tab..
I'm assuming I'll just have to wait for an app update for ICS

My N64oid and SNESoid both work fine after ICS....

For me, snesoid seems to be hit or miss now. Donkey Kong Country would load, but after the logo the screen would turn black but with audio. Can't close it afterwards and have to force close.
Games like Final Fantasy III and Super Mario World loads and plays fine though.
Edit: Downloaded SuperGNES and those games now work.
I am also having issues with SNES and ICS. IT will load with a black screen and audio then force close. I have gotten it to load once and it was super smooth for like 10 minutes then my TFP suddenly restarted.
Hoping for some updates or more stable emus! This was one of the main reasons I invested in the keyboard dock for USB controller support.
Anyone else having luck with SNESoid since ICS update?
I have no issues with emulators on ICS. I have snesdroid, Genedroid, Neodeoid, & FPse. All work great. Its always been some roms are hit or miss. Depending on the source you get it from. For me all my emulator games work fine.
SNESoid not working
I am also facing an issue with snesoid with ICS. When i open any rom it goes blank and again returns to the select ROM window.
Update: I installed supergnes and everything works perfectly
What about nesoid? Its very choppy for me on ics. Its on Xperia play.

I have the same problem on my sensation xe, and my galaxy tab 2 7.0
none of them are working. too sad.
anybody has a fix for this?
it seems, yonghz isnt developing anymore?
any help is appreciated.
Disable swiftkey in the Samsung keyboard settings under the language and input tab.
I cannot run N64oid on my CM7 install. Whenever I try to load up a game, it just exits out immediately. I tried using N64oid on CM10, and it works perfectly.
How would I fix this problem?
N64oid stopped working on CM7 on Nook Color when N64oid hit v2. Older versions do work. Nobody here knows what the N64oid author does that crashes on NC. I have even tried contacting him but he wasn't particularly excited at trying to figure it out.
I suggest getting Mupen64Plus instead.
