[Q] Support for mt11a (rooting, unlocking bootloader, installlation, recovery ) - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

i am trying to find all the answers to start making improvements to my sony ericsson xperia neo v (mt11a). for the past two weeks it seems asking question and getting small answer from probably and not sure. give me the idea to start a thread for this question for apparently no one decided to make the diference between the two versions in reference to rooting flashing kernels and roms from mt11i to mt11a. in short please guys i would love for your input into making my phone run as smoothly as all of yours . thank you all for your support.

rooting method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038

I have officially confirmed for my fellow noobs that flashing. To my 11I firmware will not take away 3g functionality. Hence go ahead and follow method by madfish to flash and root with custom firmware or rom. Have any questions I am willing to help to the best of my ability. Here is a screenshot of my mt11a running mt11i ics 4.0.4 build. 431 and custom Rom Xperia pureness. Thanks again madfish and jofensu for their wisdom.

I think you should use the Sony Ericsson Update Service :
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Mobile-Phone-Tools/Sony-Ericsson/Update-Service.shtml
I tried to update OTA, but the phone said it was already up-to-date. Then I checked by SEUS, and voilà, my phone is now powered by Android 2.3.4

can anyone help?

Good, pardon my English but I am Spanish and use a translator, I'm trying to make a rom for xperia neo v still not very well ... The problem I have is that I can not find them anywhere a mod or something that tells me how to put this stock rom

Stock Rom discussion

Friends
I am using Sony live with walkman now 4.0.4 from last one year and I've used many ROMs like cm9, cm10, smart Xperia, aokp Rom,hasa miui, icecream pureness etc
But after using all ROMs what I found at last is that stock Rom is best among all as it is optimized as per your device hardware, all the functionality is running as smooth as cream,
I switched to custom Rom earlier because I have flashed custom rage kernel using flashtool in fastboot mode and though my mobile was rooted but it was freezing my handset frequently then I switch to custom Rom and hopped from Rom to Rom but At last I switch to stock Rom with kernel lupus,
To enhance my stock Rom I flashed some useful Mods in it using TWRP, like cybershot camera mod, notification toggles mod with reboot option,
Now it is running ok my live with walkman with some modification

We usually allow discussion about ROMs, where they are under development and can be improved by collaboration of users. Stock ROM can't be improved as it's closed sourced and have almost 0 chance to be better.
Also @OP - you're posting yet another useless thread and should know that your behavior doesn't remained unnoticed.
@ALL We do allow posting memes sometimes, but if you decide to do so, be sure that meme doesn't offend anybody, otherwise you might be infracted.
Thread cleaned and closed.

[SOLA] Battery timing of xperia Sola....

Friends, Like other users I am was also not happy with Xperia battery and ICS Stock Rom performance. I installed many custom ROMs many of them were very good in the beginning and then I got facing problems. I really appreciate the work done by Devs for My Xperia sola. But one day I decided to move to stock rom so I relocked my boot loader and installed ICS stock rom Indian version. After installing it i got an update that I think was for facebook integration in Xperia sola or something like that. In the beginning Performance was not good but day by day its performance is going good unlike other custom roms. Battery performance is also very good under normal use. I am not a heavy user.
So In the end "Have I become used to it or Really performance has increased "
A friend Once told me "Manufacturer knows best".
(Sorry for bad English. )

[Q] Rooting and flashing a french Sony Xperia Z tablet ?

Hi all,
As new french member on the forum and as newbee in rooting Sony xperia z tablet (SGP311, Android 4.3, Build Nr: 10.4.B.0.577), I've 2 questions before attempting to root my device as explained in this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588442
- If I flash my tablet with - for example - the : SGP311: Custom NORDIC 10.4.B.0.577 after this operation wich language will print my tablet (english or french) ?
- Before flashing, is it possible to save / backup the entire system (as we can do it with a normal PC BIOS before flashing ) ?
Thanks for answer, best regards.
For backup lokk at
http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/39-sony-xperia-tablet-z-sgp321
You willl get all Scandinavian languages and english with Nordic firmware
Every Android version, with most devices, comes with all the languages. Some fw, though, come with some specific languages, like English (India).
This is the language selection screen of the Nordic 4.3 fw.

About the backup, without root, all you can do is have the ftf for the currently running version from your device.
