This case is easily the best looking case I have seen for the Xperia P. The colours are great and it has a very premium look and feel. The case only covers the sides, corners and the back, so there is a chance that the top, bottom and front could get a nasty scratch from a rouge car key or coin. There is also a reasonable amount of exposure around the button and ports for scratches—but at least this doesn't make the buttons difficult to press. There is a gap at the back so the Xperia bar is still transparent. Very easy to slide in and out of your pocket. It also comes with a screen protector which I haven't tried.
Unfortunately, this morning I noticed that there was a large chunk missing from the top-left corner. Not sure what happened as I don't recall dropping or bumping it, I would have expected an expensive cover to be more durable.
Overall, I still really liked the case and will be ordering another one in the hopes that I was unlucky.
Update:
The other top corner cracked and then broke off (see attached photos) so have reduced my rating to 2.5. A few other people in this thread have had similar problems.

I have the Nillkin cover for the Xperia U. I generally agree with the OP, it has a very premium look and feel, the rugged pattern on the back has an excellent grip, and it doesn't obstruct the functions (power, volume rocker and camera buttons) in the slightest. I'd just have liked it to cover the top and bottom parts as well...
I bought it in black, and it really fits with the black phone and the black bottom cap.

I had Nillkin case for my P, but it cracked from the top left corner. Now I'm deciding between buying another one of these or Casemate Barely There.

You can get a decent idea from the pictures on the website. The case feels very slim, I would guess that it adds 3mm to each dimension.

am using this case for my xperia s. the sp provided is good enough for me, less fingerprint & less oily compared to my previous cheap sp.
i have 2 of them, black & maroon. just to inform that the maroon case is not opaque like the black & other colors, it is a bit translucent.
i once dropped my phone face-down on tarred road (!!!) while getting out of an mpv. the case is chipped a bit at the corner (but unnoticeable coz it's black) but the phone survived unscratched :good:

I have the same fault in my Nillkin case, the top left corner, looked like it got chipped, even though it was never dropped and now the bar above the usb/hdmi ports has split, just ordered an new case off ebay, going to try a matte one this time, as i wasnt too mad about the dimple texture on the rear of the case.

Is your new matte one from Nillkin? I am currently using a random matte one that I got off ebay. It is decent and have been using it ever since my Nillkin chipped, but the edges have quite a thick lip which makes the side buttons hard to press.
