Fast, does nto run in the background.
If anybody wants the APK for previous FB app (before the buggy update) help yourselves here http://db.tt/KiQ5oXoX

I use the official Facebook app, I've never had any problems with it at all.
I did try FriendCaster but it wouldn't post my statuses or comments so now I just use it for pop up notifications.

The Facebook app is running in background when you quit it. Like a bloatware
using official facebook app, no problem so far
but main disadvantage is can't download picture ==
so use friendcaster if want to download
and official facebook app can upload more than 1 picture, that the best feature

Use Friendcaster. It's a much better facebook app. You actually get notifications and contacts sync without issue.

Agreed 100%. Friendcaster is the best fb app out right now hands down

I used to use friendcaster but then... lol jk not making an arrow in the knee joke but anyway i stopped using friendcaster when the facebook app actually got good
Keep in mind that any variance in the name between FB and your contacts may require you to 'join' the two via Edit in the Contacts menu.
+1 for Friendcaster too.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace which recently went on Gingerbread.
Now, I have been trying to set up my Yahoo email on the phone. If I go to "Email"; I get an option to only download emails from Inbox, Drafts and Sent Items.
I have created a lot of folders in the email account so I'd like to have those on the phone as well. How do I do that.
I would rather prefer not using the Yahoo Mail App as that is very slow.
Anyone?
Is there any way I can have the entire Yahoo Email (along with folder I have created) on the phone or would I have to install the Yahoo Mail app?

Update: it seems that POP mail won't sync folders, where as IMAP mails do. Try setting up the mail as IMAP. Try this:

Hope that helped.

Thanks! Setting up as IMAP did the trick.
The link you have mentioned doesn't work; I found one that works but can't post it (haven't completed 10 posts).

Hi
Just as the title says how can I read my Google notes in my phone?
The build in note isn't connected to Google it seems as one would expect.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2
Is there really no one who uses the notes from their google account?
On my iPhone it connected the build-in notes program with google notes so it downloaded my notes from google and also uploaded any new notes i made, i really miss this on my android now
If you know any way to achieve this please let me know. Thanks!
Open Gmail third icon along "manage labels", Scroll down to notes
Sorted

Problem with this proposal is that i can not edit the notes from phone as a "note". They are handled as email using gmail android application.
So question is still open....
Or use evernote?

Is there really a difference between these two apps? I've always been curious about it.

I believe facebook messenger is purely the messaging part of facebook. You can send messages and all, but you can't access your news feed for example. But facebook app contains everything
