Not sure if this will help you, as I dont use JB, and i'm not sure if you are carrier unlocked or not. but in order to do so, you will need to be loaded with a stock rom, in order to use the unlock code you are given.
you may already know, and have done this, but you'll need to be on the rom your phone came with, if possible...
hope this helps...g

Use any modem you like. Roms and modems are independent. Don't get too excited or upset once you flash your rom/modem. It seems to take a few reboots and a few hours to settle in.

cool...dint know i had to be in stock to use an unlocked code thought

If its not stock, the box to enter the code never appears

but once unlock it doesn't matter if I flash the device will stay unlocked right?

unlock is permanent.

[Q] Does flashing back to stock affect T-mobile modem?

I've flashed a T-mobile modem and using with the HSPA+ for awhile, however the Saurom ROM I'm using has some bugs like I can't reboot my phone properly and I sometimes lost signals, so my question is: if I want to flash my Note back to stock android, am I gonna lose the capability of using the HSPA+ which I'm using right now? Is there any ROM you would recommend that would be stable for the Note and still have the T-mobile modem enabled? Please give me an answer because I've been confused with this for awhile. God bless you all...
Question
Anybody? Please?
I'm using Saurom 7.1 and ICS theme on,Blaze modem and its been running great. It isn't as fast speedwise compared to my Amaze 4g but stable and fast.

You will probably have to reflash the tmo modem. But it might still be there as others have had non-stock modems that were still there even after flashing a stock tar file.

Best way to be sure would be to flash the stock radio. Though, it would be nice to know if using Odin will put EVERYTHING back to stock.
I'll bet the answer exists on the forum already but it's a good question, regardless.

Oops. Read the question wrong. So far as i know, once you flash a radio, it's there forever. Unless you flash a new one. Depending on how someone makes their ROM, this could change, but I'm betting that most of the devs aren't worried about forcibly making the people flashing their **** switch modems.

Yes you will. I noticed that when i installed the at&t stock Rom

thanks for sharing. I've heard some infos about flashing back to stock could affect the radio, but I feel relieved when I saw this.
Dont worry about the modem in GB just flash it and it'll work
all ive heard is that the "ICS leak" doesnt play well with TMO modem
but idk to be honest

Will TurkbeyRom work with AT&T version of GS3?

I really like what I see from this rom: rootgalaxys3iii.com/turkbeyrom-v3/
But everywhere I've read about it, it references the international version of the phone.. this will be my first root and Rom flash so I am really nervous about bricking my phone if it isnt meant for att version.
Thanks for helping
If it is made for the international version then do not flash it on the us version. Since you are new I would suggest you flash roms that are for your carrier, ie the ones listed in whatever carrier development forum you use for your service. Be advised though to please do plenty of research on whatever questions you may have in the future as it will save you major headaches

Unfortunately no it wont work. I9300 roms cannot be flashed due to different internals. You'll be lucky to get a boot screen if you flash but could probably still recover. Definitely wont work though until someone ports it over for your model.

Thanks for the heads up guys, Def will stay away! I'm just liking to maximize my battery life anyway since I'm having a terrible time making it through a day even with power saving steps taken.performance boost is good too haha but battery far more important

I wish it was out for us. Turkbey rocked on the GS2

is it safe to go back to stock?

I'm currently using paranoid android ROM and I'm told I can't unlock my device using a ROM that's not stock
is it safe to just flash to it from cwm or are there other steps I need to add?
oh and by the to what would be the ROM I'd need to flash for stock as I do not have my att one that came with my device

Stick a different carrier sim card into the phone and it should still prompt you to unlock it regardless of ROM.
I am not stating this as fact but that has been my experience unlocking phones. Reverting to stock may be required.
I was told that on an other thread which seemed seemed odd at the time but decided to ask anyways
I'll do just that thanks man

I said that about stock. cellphoneunlocker.net said stock. The remote guy doesn't say stock, but he asks you to type in some dialer codes to see if you are stock-ish. At&t expects stock.
Like Flapjaxxx said, before you do anything try another carrier's sim and see if the network control screen is what you see at booting. If you do, good. Enter the code and enjoy.
Several users of non-stock roms said they never got the network control screen when they booted, but they got a status alert saying incorrect sim, so they tried to enter the code in the dialer but the phone stayed locked. So they went to stock and got it done.
Try it and see. You can't break anything. And sorry if you feel I was misinforming anyone. I always try to give the safest answer I can.
no prob that's why I asked

AT&T Straight Talk SIM card on Verizon S4

I have one more question... I am rooted with Clean Rom 1.5, do I have to unroot my phone? Will I still be able use wife tether or foxfi? I heard AT&T removed foxfi from the market even though I already have it.

C'mon nobody out there can answer this question? This is a make or break deal for me whether I am going to switch...

Yes it will work - I haven't had any luck making or receiving calls on anything other than a TW based rom though - AOSP roms do not register on the cell network or something - I've been asking this question all around and cannot get an explanation why or if there is a fix.
As for wifi tethering or foxfi I'm not sure - I just tried wifi tethering and it didn't seem to work. I can try foxfi could you send me the APK?
I will need your email to send the apk...
So, Clean Rom is a AOSP rom? What are some of the TW Roms because I can sacrifice AOSP Roms to save $70 bucks on my phone bill?

I'm using eclipse TW rom - works great and feels just like AOSP - I can't tell the difference. I tried foxfi and it still didn't work. I bet there are other ways to get tethering on straight talk, I just don't know how.

What's the message you get when you try to activate the built in hotspot? Also, have you tried the wireless tether for root users (Mueller Lemon, Buxton... This one should might work. Let me know what happens

Unlocking Rezound

Hey guys. Sorry to bug you but is there anybody out there who knows how to unlock the HTC Rezound so that it can be used on Sprint. My E4GT is having SMS issues and I need to be able to use this. Anyways thanks in advanced!!!
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Sprint is a CDMA carrier meaning that you need to flash it....unlocking it is done by using a gsm capable ROM and manually setting up its apn's and such....to flash it you need a lot of knowledge on how to do so and the proper programs...if not done right you will brick the phone and never be able to use it again

Haha forget that then Lol! Thanks for the clarification. To much risk there. I guess its some easy extra money if I ever need it then. But if I unlocked it then I could use it on T-Mobile and stuff like that?

Ya...but unlike the hard method of unlocking all you need to do for the rezound is use a gsm capable rom....as an example im on PAC Man 4.3 and using straight talk on it...obviously if you are s-on theres certain things you gotta do to set up the rom properly. I suggest reading up lol
