It's just the settings on your TV.
You will need to choose a different aspect ratio on your TV settings

That's what i thought, but when i when in the image settings, i just saw things about color, brightness... I got a bravia...

I don't use Sony but there will be a settings for aspect ratio somewhere. Take your time and look for it.
There are many options on Samsung; full screen, crop, 16:9, 16:10, zoom etc

If you have had a thorough look through the image settings then it may just have it's own dedicated button on your remote.
I have a Panasonic Viera and I have a button on my remote which is called "16:9". This is the only way I can change aspect ratio.
Look on your TV or your remote for a dedicated aspect ratio button sometimes it's a square with an arrow in it. Obviously it's differnet for different models.
Either look in your manual, or google it.
Your TV will definitely have a way to change aspect ratio, you just have to find it.

I found the button, few choices but.none that makes it fit or even smaller...

?Is there a way to change the webtop mode resolution?

Hi Guys, I have looked all over but can't seem to find an answer. I have a HD media dock hooked up to my 7" display in my truck. It works great but the resolution makes everything (espescially the mouse arrow) very small. Is there a way to change the resolution so all the icons on the bottom are larger? I have tried the "display" setting at the top but there are no options in the drop down menu. Any help would be awesome!

what I found out that worked for me was plug the photon into via docking station into a different tv then plug it back into the tv that you want and on the screen will say new display detected or something and from there the resolution menu will open allowing you to adjust it to whatever you like

Full screen on HDMI out

When I hook up my prime in r my 720 p TV everything works great, shows the whole screen. But when I hook it up to my 1080p screen it cuts off the outer edge if the screen all the way around. Thick enough to barley see the apps icon on the home screen. But it also does this on my Acer a 500, so I think it is a android issue. Is there a setting that I have never seen before to fix this?
Also I made sure its not the zoom, wide or stretch feature on the TV

this is an issue with your TV enabling overscan of the HDMI image. on my panasonic plasma TV i had to troll through the advanced picture settings and change the "HD Size" to "Size 2". i don't know why panasonic makes this the default but that's how it goes. once that setting was made the display was a perfect 1080p crop. changing zoom/wide/stretch doesn't solve this problem because all that does is adjust how a sub-1080p image is presented on the 1080p surface.

My TV used to do the same, it's as he says: find overscan, give it the boot!

[Q] Digital Picture Frame Mode

The Samsung site talks about a Digital Picture Frame Mode for the Tab 10.1.
Does this actually exist as I cannot find it?
How do I make my Tab 10.1 display selected pictures full screen at a rate of my choosing so that I can have it as a digital picture frame as it sits on my desk?
I have tried using the Gallery App to run a slideshow but it doesnt seem to allow you to change the time delay between pictures (unless Im missing something!).
I couldn't find how to change display time in gallery either. I have an app called Photo Slides that has a lot of options for transitions and all that. It doesn't over-ride the bottom bar, but works pretty well otherwise.

[Q] problem on the galaxy note

did anyone try to watch videos on your galaxy note?
because when i do the video looks werid(?) (i tried to think of a better way to explain this but english isnt my first lang )
im using the bell version of the galaxy note
Can you be more specific here?
Which app were you watching videos with? Netflix?? Plex? Live TV App?? the Movies app?
And by weird...what do you mean? Aspect ratio issues? Overscan??? Artifacts??
Really need more information if we are to try to help you.
You can Tap the top left button while on the video player to change aspect ratio, that's the only thing I've found to display funny on mine. Also, pressing the power button "locks" certain controls (maybe screen taps) so that tapping that little icon has no effect if the power button has been used to lock. That happens a lot easier than you think as it's incredibly easy to click that little guy...

Connecting to a monitor

I've been using the samsung MHL adapter to plug my Note 2 and S3 into my monitor, but for some reason when im just on the homescreen in landscape, screen is cropped just a little bit on all sides. the status bar is maybe 75% cut off and the other sides are about the same. I have no idea what adjustments can be made on the monitor to get it working perfectly. also, the monitor says its in 1080i mode and the colors a little washed out. I dont know if this is due to it being piped through MHL or if i can also fix that but any help would be much appreciated.
for the record, I am connected to the monitor now and using a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to type this all out. the Note to has become my new computer and it's working perfectly.
I don't mean to bump this post for no reason, but I've been looking all over the Internet and still can't find anything that solves the issue. I was hoping there was a setting somewhere on my monitor that would change the display resolution, but so far I haven't found anything that actually changes that anywhere on the monitor.

Okay, for the people who have crop issues. Have you tweaked the display in the settings of your computer monitors and/or TVs? If you go to your display settings for your monitor and/or TV, look to see what the screen mode it's on. Your problem could be that the picture on the display is zoomed in and not set to natural. If that's the case, the different screen mode will show everything that's being inputted to the display.
EDIT: If for some reason your monitor doesn't have this setting (Mine does), then if you haven't already, try experimenting by changing the resolution of the display.

I've been looking all over in the settings for my monitor and still haven't been able to find the settings to change the resolutions. I'll keep looking.
