Yeah, what rom is this?
This comes from google. Rom developers basically take this stuff and throw it into their stuff.
Wait until Paul or someone figures out what has changed and such.
This can include new radio, Gapps etc..
okay I renamed this to PASSIMG.ZIP and it still won't flash on a virgin Nexus...what gives??? I forgot, does it have to have the Amon_Ra's recovery??
EDIT: Nevermind!!! It would help if I put the file in the root directory instead of of a sub-dir.
Same radio unfortunately.
oh i c so it is a stock rom from google now where abouts can we locate these roms on website... is this basically for developers then...

Nothing really different about it ... probably some minor framework revisions ... and it lacks GoogleGoggles and VoiceDialer like epe54b had.
Nothing really of note here.
~enom~
This could delay the release of 5.0.5 since Cyan may want to include some of the optimizations (assuming there are any) in his latest build.
Can't open links. Can someone please upload it somewhere else?
My N1 is unrooted. Can I flash this ROM? If yes, how do I proceed? Thanks.
Had to open through a proxy site. Must have trouble with accessing from outside US.
Hi All,
I searched and searched, but can't figure out how to identify the bootloader. I bought this gtab off of craigslist and it has already been rooted to VEGAn-TAB-v1.0.0B5.1
I want to install VEGAn-GE-7.0.0-RC1, but I before I do I want to be sure I'm on the right bootloader. Any Idea how to Identify the bootloader after the Gtablet has already been rooted?
Go to Settings, About Tablet & look at Tap UI Version. If it starts with 1.1, you're on 1.1 the bootloader (b/l). If it starts with 1.2, you're on the 1.2 b/l.
Thanks for the response! I tried that before, but I dont seem to have a Tap UI Version because I am presently rooted and have the VEGAn-TAB-v1.0.0B5.1 installed. It gives me a build number, kernal version and Model number

Google "Gtablet for dummies", it's hte only place you'll need ot look for just about anything. under start here, there is a drop down, wiht a "rom" entry, click on that and there is a convenient table that illustrates what roms are available and on what bootloaders.

I second this.
The tutorials on that site are second to none.
You will probably end up nvflashing back to a stock version anyway.

Ditto that, before you try to flash any other ROM. do a clean flash
using the Bl 1.2 with CWM.

Yes I did and already downloaded the RUU there.
Unfortunately they only have the 1.22.651.1 (2nd release) which I'm already running.
The original GB release was 1.18.651.1.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I know somebody out there has the RUU sitting on their drive, but this forum gets so viewers now it is hard to reach the right person.
I've searched, but can't seem to find anything. Sorry for not being much help over here.
But just out of curiosity, why do you need the original RUU?

Some stuff I'm working on runs well with the original software and I upgraded w/o realizing it. I've always had access to the original RUUs before on other HTC devices so was a little surprised they are so hard to locate for the Evo View.

I think I have obtained the RUU that you're looking for, but it was on some Chinese website, and you had to register in order to download. I lost the link, but I successfully downloaded the RUU. Where do you think I can upload to; DropBox keeps failing?

hey guys. the same question. if someone have this rom on hard drive? googled a lot but didn't found it yet...
I am on stock as can be with Android 4.1.1 and would like to update to 4.4.4 if possible or something newer and I would mind having a custom ROM or something stock. I haven't done any custom ROM's in a while, so don't know a few things around that like whether you can install. update apps as normal out of Google play store and Amazon app store.
Anyways, any thoughts on my best choice of process. I think my tablet is already rooted or at least was rooted at one point in the past, I didn't custom anything back when it was rooted. I did findthis thread, but since I can't post in that thread yet, I figured I would start here.

Where are all the files I need to download this information? I do have ADB installed.
Woking fastboot & adb / SDcard optional
TWRP for a 201 = twrp_tf201t.blob
@ne0zone75 TWRP for the 300 = ne0zone75_tf300t.blob
HairyBean BL & TWRP: This is effectively turn your 201 into a 300
All 3 of the above file are in a zip in the Download section @ the top of every page of the thread ...... THIS ZIP IS NOT FLASHABLE...Your must unzip it to get to the real files
CROMBI 300 ROM zip
A fully charged tablet
All the above files in the same directory as your fastboot.exe (if using windows) In your home folder on linux.... or on a SDcard

Unfortunately this device will likely be locked just like the J327T.
I have been watching that thread and everything that has been tried is pretty much what I attempted to explain would be a waste of time.
The combination firmware is useless to gain root on nougat.
No auto root is ever gonna work either and neither is Flashfire or SuperSU.
There is a list of reasons why these things won't work, but I'll not waste my time in that thread explaining why.
I don't mind explaining further why here. Just so others will not waste efforts like on the J327T thread.
I'll let that thread run its course until all avenues have reached their inevitable dead ends.
They are harsh words, but unfortunately they are truth.
Suffice to say that the only real way for this device to see root is either an unlocked bootloader (highly unlikely), a proper engineering binary or an exploit is released for Android 7.
If an exploit is found then Kingroot will almost certainly incorporate it in their Software and then there maybe a chance that the combination binary (not the whole firmware) will help get root.
If anyone can confirm for sure this device doesn't have a locked bootloader then I'd be happy to work on it.

Yes there is a fairly easy way.
Also you need to read my posts in that thread you linked.

It's not me being negative, these things just don't work. If you want me to go in to detail for why then I can explain.

No, do bother going into detail, i prolly wouldnt understand.
If/When you work on either the J327T or J727T, i'm here to test....
BTW Chimera is saying them can root both devices. Before i think of putting up the money, what are your thoughts? At that point i might be rooted but no recovery
J727T/1 Recovery/Root (SS SafeStrap)???
Would this work?
Or be a good place to start, building off it???
IF I remember right, it was used for the S4 or S5 att, with same issue. It would set up recovery after bootloader, or something like that. I'm no noon, but not a senior either.
Just a suggestion??
Would be great if someone could implement it to work??
