Anyone use this controller?
I have SuperGNES, FPse, MC3, ShadowGun, Dead Space, Dead Trigger, Minecraft, and a few other games.
1. Can anyone confirm this controller works with SuperGNES and FPse (probably these two are the most important to me)
2. Can you use a USB min-hub to get more usb ports on the dock and plug in 2 controllers
I'm looking to be able to play 2 player games and curious if others have got it to work.
Thanks
I've just gotten one of these controllers myself today. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble.
Some games work fine, like "Cordy". Another well-known game, Shadowgun, does not. The game mixes up the controls, rendering the right analog stick messed up. It thinks the left trigger is the analog sticks left/right and that the analog up/down is actually on left/right. Unplayable.
before, I've tried connecting two Xbox controllers, both wired. These work fine. You can't play with two controllers, however. Android recognizes both controllers as one, so you'll both control the same thing.
Unfortunately, I don't think there's a solution to the latter, it's a driver issue.
---
Did anyone get Shadowgun to work properly with the F710? If so, please teach me!
---
For the record, I'm using the ASUS Padfone, which is related to the transformer series.
Anyone know about emulators with the F710?
SuperGNES says you need to install gamepad IME, which is free. It installs fine, and I can see it in the settings, but there are no options to bind keys...which makes me think its all in the games but I cant figure out supergnes. It thinks both the A and B buttons are down, and I can't change it in the controller settings.
I just bought my controller, may return it if I can't figure this out. It works natively for Dead trigger. ...kinda pissed it doesn't work the same for superGNES.
After having tested the logitech controller, I've decided to get rid of it and go for Sixaxis with a PS3 controller. It's just way more configurable.

I've had my controller for about 6 months now and there is a way to play ShadowGun with it. You just have to manually map the controller yourself in the options menu for game pad input. Haven't used SuperGNES but I use another emulator called SNESoid and it allows me to map the controller out.

What is NOT interesting about it?
I would love to use a sixaxis (or any other controller) for n64 emulators, snes emulators, psx emulators and so on. using the touchscreen as controller is ruining the experience and potential of emulators.
BTW, if you dont have anything constructive or informative to write in these forums, stfu.

I have read, learned, and gained knowledge. And I can honestly say that using a ps3 controller for emulators running on my tab is going to be ****ing awesome for my future!
Shouldn't you be working on that taskbar color?

Alright, sent and e-mail and got a reply. A bug in the program. Updated and now can connect with PS3 controller. Everything is working smoothly, running splendidly on n64oid 2.1.

I appreciate that information
What ROM's have you tried that is working smooth?
I've tried Super Mario 64, Wave Race 64, Golden Eye and Mario Kart 64.
They all run without hickups or any lag!
Pilot Wings 64 on the other hand gives me black polygons and crackling audio noises.
Should there be a separate thread for Emulator ROM's maybe?
Hey,
I'm having trouble pairing my controller with my Tab,
I installed the Sixaxis Pair Tool and i entered the Bluetooth Mac Address of my Tab (I didn't find it in the actual app, when i pressed Start, on the Tab but i had to enter Android Settings and About.
Anyway, under Current Master it shows the Bluetooth Mac Address of my Tab, i then unplugged the controller, pressed the PS button, and pressed Start in the App on the Tab and it says Connection Initiated.... and thats it, the controller is blinking but it doesn't seem to wanna connect to the Tab
Any help would be appreciated
P.S. I followed the instructions on http://www.dancingpixelstudios.com/sixaxiscontroller/instructions.html
Fixed it with a restart of my Tab, apparently my tab wasn't asking for root until i rebooted,
Great app by the way
My controller is being recognized by the N64oid app when i have to configure the inputs. When I go to play a game though, it won't recognize the controller.
Best money spent on my TAB so far Working perfectly with Snes9x EX.
i followed everything and the app says connection established however, my controller doesn't stop blinking any thoughts? should I just assume that this app doesn't work with samsung devices at all?

I had a problem with mine not registering input even after following the setup and my lights saying it was connected as controller 1. I deleted the sixaxis compatibility checker and then rebooted, started the connection, hit the ps button, and selected sixaxis controller as input and it worked flawlessly. If you're 100% positive you're doing everything word for word and changed the sixaxis' bluetooth address to match your tab's then try a reboot and see if it fixes it.
So the controller finally works. When you enable IME in N64oid the controller will start working. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but does the software support full analog control? I can't get Mario to stop running at full speed even thought i am pushing the stick only a little .
If you are having trouble getting the controller started do this....
Download and SixAxisPairTool on your pc.
Plug the controller into your pc with the usb cable that came with the ps3.
Hit the power button on the controller. A set of numbers will show on top with a empty box below.
On the tablet, run SixAxis Controller. There will be a bluetooth address at the bottom of the screen. Copy these numbers/letters into the sixaxispairtool on your pc.
Unplug the controller, hit start on the controller app on the tablet and hit the power button on the controller. Hit configure input settings and switch to ps3 controller.
You should be all set to go! Good Luck!
The sixaxis works great with every emulator I have tried it with so far. Are there any non-emulator apps that anyone has got working? Any android games that are not emulators? If there are some, then maybe we need to get a list going of what apps work with the sixaxis controller and which ones do not.
I am also all in favor of getting a list of what rom's work for each system.
I have tested mario kart and 007 for N64 and they both work. I have also tested nba jam tournament edition for snes and that works. I am really bummed because cruisn usa will not work in the n64 emulator. The screen is off to the left. Has anyone else tried that one? I love playing cruisn usa.

In N64oid or whichever emulator you are running, go to settings, other settings, and then tick the box for "Use input method"
I'm having the same issue as amarp84
pairing is fine, bluetooth address is fine, connection is established no worries and it says that there is a client connected, but the lights won't stop blinking and sync to a controller port
i'm on 10.1v ... anyone else got it working on the tab so i know if it's just me?
I works great on my tab 10.1.
Anyone get keys to map with N64oid? I cant get multiple joysticks, they all map as DPAD down etc so i cant use seperate joysticks
Hi folks, I have been able to get my ps3 controller and wiimotes to hook up to my transformer and dock to play games on emulators with no issues. Unfortunately, neither of these controllers work well on the n64 games. I bought an USB N64 controller off amazon this week and received it today, but it won't work correctly. http://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Cont...ZDPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327084707&sr=8-1 - this is the controller I got. It lights up, and when programming the keymapping, it registers that there was a key pushed, but the buttons don't work. I went through and did the keymapping three times, but once finished and you try to push start at the beginning of a game, nothing happens. Are there drivers we can install on android, or is this controller just simply not compatible with android? Anyone have any ideas on this?
Try the USB Joystick app on the Market

ps3 controller works fine. Just map ps3 keys in n64oid and you are set. I am in the middle of kirby 64 right now. The c controls+z was tricky but i got it. You might need to go to sixaxis and change the keys for some of the buttons. No matter what you assign the button to it will be different when you map it in n64oid. Good luck
It depends on the emulator you are using i know that n64oid will only work for sixaxis controllers, but mupen64 will be your best bet, I just plug in an xbox 360 controller into my dock and it works perfectly using mupen as an emulator.
Try mupen64
I used my original N64 controller and a n64 to usb conveyer with the muper64 emulator. Add it weren't a solid connection it kept starting/stopping but did work and could map buttons, even load a n64 profile.
I use a Logitech copy of an Xbox controller to play Dark Forces in AnDOSbox. Works great. Plugs into my dock and is recognized right away.

im looking to purchase the tablet s but i was wondering if fpse works with the ps3 controller on it? and the genesis snes and n64 emulators? can anyone verify?
I've got issues with FPSE, and running out of memory but the deve isn't sure why.
i can confirm that a ps3 controller once paired (for wireless operation) with the tablet s has worked with every emulator i have tried, and i think i have tried them all, well the major ones anyways. very happy overall with the tablet s so far
I can confirm that the PS3 wireless controller connecting to this tablet works with every emulators that is working on the tablet. NES SNES N64 etc... ofcourse you have to key the buttons...
I can also confirm that the ps3 controller works with all emulators i've tried (fpse, nesoid, gensoid, snesoid, gameboid, gbcoid, ataroid, gearoid, n64oid) but i do have a bit of an issue when it comes to N64oid. The way the tablet reads the controller (when it comes to the emulators) is the digital controls and the left analog stick are mapped to the same controls (ie pushing up on the digital control and pushing up on the left analog stick both register as "DPAD Up" when mapping controls). In addition to that the right analog stick doesn't register anything at all with exception of pushing it down as a button. What it comes down to is there doesnt seem to be enough buttons to properly map an N64 controller. You can still play games but you cant really play anything that utilizes the whole n64 controller.
FPSE all the way. I've only put maybe 4-5 hours into it, but I haven't run across any memory issues so far.
SNES droid also apears to work perfectly.

Are these controllers supported natively, or is it necessary to use 3rd party apps to connect to them?

I get the list of controllers from .15 firmware, so they supported natively.
But alsow game must fully support games controller.
Some times, not all buttons works. For example only moves or fire and jump button,
etc
I have a wired Xbox 360 controller I used with mine (requires keyboard) and it works incredibly well - if the software supports it. You can navigate the home screens easily, just like the touchpad. But, game support is dependent on the game, not OS. For example, Shine Runners works very well, but Dungeon Defenders doesn't see it.
The nVidia marketplace does a good job of specifying controller support.

Just plagin PS3 remote to the dock
just tried my iControlPad, works with bluez ime app from market (free) and any ''oid'' emulatore (snesoid, gameboid, etc) have not tried other setups
I meed to get a dock n USB controller or a BT controller. these ps1 games is killing me with touch screen controls. I got final doom, quake 2, R-type Delta, Marvel vs. Capcom, XMen vs. Street Fighter, and Einhander all on my prime. they look n play great with the gpu plugin. now I need a damn controller. Hard to play some of those with touchscreen..lol
which one is the one you can buy at Gamestop that's said to work with prime?
the motorola bluetooth keyboard (the one styled after the xoom) work like a dream, shortcut keys, home/back, its one of the less expensive and well made bluetooth android oriented keyboards, and it has function keys for use with a pc as well, well worth the 45$ i paid for it.

Hi,
I tried to connect my WiiMotes.
Even though it suggests the codes 0000 and 1234 ,neither seems to do the trick.
Any help would be appreciated.
I've been using the GameStop branded controller. The system seems to treat it as a bluetooth keyboard. If you launch a notepad type app, you can see what buttons map to which keys. But it seems to work to some degree at least in those apps that nvidia labels as "controller" supported.
I think this is already known but the Sixaxis PS3 controller works without any 3rd party apps.
Just plug it in via USB then turn on bluetooth. From then on it is paired and will work without needing USB.

Anyone able to get the right analog sticks on any brand of controller to properly register with emulators (such as N64oid, SNESoid, Gensoid etc.)?
PS3 won't, either hooked up native or through a third-party such as SixAxis Controller. Therefore I'm wondering if any others will, or if it's an issue that will be present regardless.

N64oid only looks for analog input from the left analog stick and ignores the right analog completely. In order to get the C-buttons working, you can use the Sixaxis app in native gamepad mode, disable the 'Right Analog x-axis' and 'Right Analog y-axis', then use the keyboard emulation to configure the right analog stick as digital button presses (you must also have your IME set to Sixaxis Controller). Most other emulators don't use analog, so you can just use the keyboard emulation exclusively.
Hi Folks, dunno if its just me, but when i try to use my 360 controller to play games like shadowgun, GTA3, etc etc they have some degree of control but mostly dont work.
GTA and Shadowgun just spin as if the analogue stick is being pressed all the time (but its not), is there any way to configure them? i have tried the ingame configurations but it also registers the constant analogue stick input.
Controller works fine on the xbox so its not that.
