No sound at all - HTC Amaze 4G

Bought an amaze that was soft bricked after an attempt at installing a rom. I relocked it restored to stock, And theres no sound. Reunlocked, s-off'd and installed deodexed rooted stock rom. Still no sounds at all in anything. WHat are suggestions.

Sounds like a hardware issue.
And questions go in the q&a section

sounds like a hardware issue as mentioned, you could physically check to see if the phone was open if it doesn't have the secure seal on one of the screws I think

Doesn't appear to be open.

Contact HTC and see if they will warranty exchange it for you. If they will then relock everything, s-on, and send it back. You Don't HAVE to relock everything to send it back, but its not to difficult a process and better safe than sorry to give them a reason to decline u the warranty.

Just shot them an email. Hoping to warranty it.

Maybe the way you asked as rude? Just an assumption because I've always asked questions and gotten a response. I've even been borderline upset regarding bootloader issues from the EVO and now the Rezound.
Just asked if and when the rezound would be supported and that it kinda sucks being locked down . I also mentioned the ceo stating that all phones would be unlocked or could be

Keep asking. Don't stop there. If we all ask each day, they're bound to give us what we want. Or not. At least they get the point. Please post a link to their page in the OP so we can all ask about the bootloader.

This maybe far fetched but wondering if this would be news worthy? I mean a ceo straight lieing to customers is pretty big imo. Maybe class action worthy ?

I am willing to bet your comment isn't "deleted". On the top of the wall there are options to sort posts. Try clicking "Everyone (Most Recent)".
The Facebook page still has the petition and the comments about unlocking the Rezound bootloader on it.

it would effect them more if you post the same on their official facebook site LOL (which means none they dont give a crap to us now) lol
I know Sammy has moved on but they still saw fit to update it even if it's the last OS update it sees.

I am pretty sure HTC is not making a phone named the "Why" due their really poor (IMHO) design planning causing their tenuous financial position at the moment, which is the same cause for their abandoning older devices like the Amaze and my own Sensation. Maybe next year they will see the light and give me a nice phone with a removable battery and an SD slot, but until August I will continue on the Sensation then I will be looking elsewhere.
lol if they make the HTC Why One I'll buy it.

Because there is no point, nor purpose for this thread... Why would you think that you need to create a whole new thread just to say that the s2 is getting jb and that you think htc should be giving us JB too??
Idk I must be missing something

Preparing for S-Off

I made this thread mainly for questions and answers about what we need to do to prepare for Beaups Moonshine S-Off. It appears there are a lot of members who have questions about how to go about preparing their computer and phone for the new method, and this should provide them a place to get all their questions out without bringing other threads off topic.
Actually a thread was already created for this by Kaliblazin which can be found here:

If you are looking for something to do while waiting for s-off, go ahead and update to 2.06. The tool will be released with 2.06 support only, for the time being.
edit: also, it wouldn't hurt to get a 32bit linux livecd or liveusb or native install ready. And familiarize yourself a little with it.

It's HTC letting the whole world know you've modded your phone. Once we get S-off we can get rid of it.
Think of it as the mod counter Samsung devices have.
Ohh. Okay. The mod counter was so nice though because it took a simple zip to change it back to zero. Lol

Unroot for warranty

Ok guys, I've looked everywhere so don't flame me please, lol. My wife needs to return her phone cuz it won't hardly charge. How do I get back to stock? Meaning, where do I find the stock Rom, how do i do it etc. Thanks in advance for the help.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Even if the phone is rooted. If it's an actual charger port issue then Tmobile would replace it anyways. I think. But first return to STOCK by flashing the RUU. (I would give you a link but I'm sure you will find it faster on your computer then I would on my phone).
I'm never too sure though. I think there is a way to change the bootloader to-day "LOCKED" but idk what it was.

Someone on here made a mod that reset the lock status flag. Maybe that can help.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using Tapatalk 2
I'm looking for it. I found this. But it might just be the relocked status
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647728
Hey have you flashed correct RUU.??
Bcoz many people tried it and it is worked for them very well..
Try again.
No issue of relocked.
Bcoz relock status will be shown if you lock your bootloader through oem lock process.
Try to follow next step...
