Im using stock gingerbread
My problem is whenever i use the camera. after i take a picture. it crashes
whenever i use the flash, there will be a violet light on my screen.
however, the fornt camera works fine.
any fix?
even i got a flash problem
when um about to take a picture the flasher works when it focuses but when i take a picture even in a dark light condition the flasher doesnt work..... then some guy told me to flash these libs http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818253 and after i did that now it says unfortunately system ui stopped and i cant even open camera please help me ..... my rom is Real ICS R4 Lite
Did you try reflashing your phone? If reflashing is not a big deal, just give it a try

Hi
Two days back i realised...my phone's front cam's sensitivity has drastically dropped...i barely see anything even wen standing in daylight or inside a well lit room...i thot it cud b a hardware issue bt at the same time wen i run *#0*# tests the phone hangs while checking front cam...more over the camera app lags while switching between cams and a 'camera failed' error is displayed wen trying to click photos with front cam...any help wud b appreciated..thanks
PS: There had been no serious drops wid my fone that might damage the cam .... nd i hv tried every other camera app to make sure its not a problem wid the stock app...

Hey,
I had about the same problem with my back camera too. When makinh photos or videos it would just hang and eventually fc. After doin a wipe data/factory reset it was all fine again, did u try that already?

I this my first post. I am using lupus kernel v3 with dual recovery and using zellycream Rom 2.0
I have an xperia mini pro which was running fine with zellycream. Suddenly from 2 days the front camera option is missing and proximity sensor is also not working. I tried to test the camera from service menu , but is says this feature not supported. I am really worried because I use Skype for video chatting.
Some one please help me

Have you tried flashing a stock ftf or another rom/kernel ?

Yes i tried another rom and kernel. . Stil no change. It was working till 2 days back. It happened suddenly. I am using tiz rom nd kernel frm 1 mnth, never faced this issue before

Try flashing the stock ftf file using flashtool.

I saw many people got this issue too after they update to ics stock .587 from gingerbread. But for me I used stock rom for 3 mnths,ultimate hd 2. 02. For 1 mnth nd zellycream for almost 1 month. Front camera nd proximity not working from couple of days. When itried to check it with the Xperia service menu option it says "my device doesnt support this function" both proximity and front camera" I dont think its a harware issue.if it is hardware issue then the camera wont work but the front camera option in the sttings could have been there...

Skype recognises only the rear camera. No front camera.
I open the service menu (*#*#SERVICE#*#* i.e
*#*#7378423#*#*) and test the secondary camera, and it
says "This device does not support the function". The primary
works fine. All other supported features work fine. Light
sensor (next to the front cam) responds too. (But the
Proximity switch doesn't. Not sure if it should. Perhaps that
could hint at a hardware problem with the connections from
the bottom half to the top slider part

i have same problem, today i want use my front camera, but i dont know why, the option its gone. and i have try other camera apps, and it say this device not support.. what theee...

after the proximity sensor gone a month ago, now my front camera...
im running in stock rom 587. i already restore fresh copy , but still same, camera not working.... :crying:

After using 3 years my mini pro front camera option disappear
Have anyone got any solution for this
On my xperia sola running on cm11,I have installed new Google camera app,but I only have cam and camcorder other than that I don't have lens blur,photosphere, panorama features.if I access the settings button app crashes.
Anybody tried it?
In my opinion those camera mode depends on gyroscope to work. And since xperia sola didn't have gyroscope so that options disabled maybe? Or you could try change your build.prop i think.
In my xperia P i had all the camera mode but unfortunately getting into "Setting" causing FC too. And lens blur seems not working perfectly though..

My camera is not working.....whenever i open camera it shows camera not available.....any solution????
Maybe that there is some hardware issue with the camera..
If phone is in warranty get it replaced or else you might need to replace the motherboard general 60% of mobile cost...

Reboot your phone. If that doesn't work then flash stock rom and wipe data.

Happened to me quite a few times on Honami Moonwalker. Reboot should solve it though I don't know what caused it.
