i see a few in the google apps and themes and what do they mean when they say inverted apps?
The colours are inverted. For example normal text apps are white in background with black text. Inverted would be black background with white text. These are power saving apps as it's less power used for white text rather than a white background.

All inverted apps have the AMOLED friendly black background, thus saving more battery on our phone

I think he means this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021507
And yes is Motoblur and it's white. I tried cause I was searching for a white theme too, and it's nice, except the red with black text color in buttons.
Thanks, friends

I love the nexus one bootup screen! One of my favs but I have an all black theme on my Trigger and thought it would be sweet to have that boot up screen in black and white. Instead of the google colors making the "X" just have the sparks in white with a black background. Anyone up for the challenge???

Has this ever been answered? I new to CM7 and its great but can't stand all the black backgrounds, especially in email. If you're in any sunlight at all you can hardly see anything. I've looked and looked for answers. I am about 1,000% sure the answer is not "change the theme" because i've tried TONS of themes and NONE of them change the corporate email background.
Use this if you need white background.

I switched to AOKP from UnNamed and there are a couple of apps that used to have black backgrounds in the menus that are now white...BeWeather is an example, the advisories and menu used to be black, but are now white in AOKP. I love AOKP, and most of everything else is black after theming, but is there something in it that inverts colors on other apps?
Did you do a full wipe?

This happens when I enable force gpu acceleration in developer options on cm9. Disabling fixes it.
Do you mean white background as in the pull down menu? BeWeather just updated to ICS and it changed the background to black to match ICS. I advise you to update to the latest BeWeather if you're not on it.

I installed BeWeather fresh from the market yesterday, and there doesn't appear to be an update available...in fact I was starting to think that it was the BeWeather update that was causing it, since I had a black settings menu with the previous version (on GB). The advisory background too.

I don't know what is it then, my BeWeather changed to black after updating to the latest. Here's a few screenshots:

Yeah I think it looks really nice, not quite really sure what he's trying to point out though, which is why I added multiple screenshots.
I think the thing we are all missing is whether or not the op did a full wipe.

On ICS apps have the option to use either a dark or light theme.
BeWeather is using the light theme on ICS (similar to some native apps like GMail for example). This can't be changed.

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a theme that keeps the stock look but goes with a Holo Light theme instead of the Holo Dark which Google just can't seem to shake.
Holo Light vs Holo Dark example
It would theme things like the Settings menu (which still has the dark theme) to look more consistent with where Google seem to be taking the colour scheme (Dialer, contacts, hangouts etc)
It would also be a bonus if some of the Holo Blue (#33b5e5) was replaced with KitKat White (#bebebe) to get rid of other inconsistencies, such as the volume bars, settings toggles (WiFi/BT).
I found this theme but the #33b5e5 just looks so out of place in KitKat..
Alternatively if anyone knows of another way to achieve this it would be good to know.
Thanks for reading!

I know it doesn't fit the bill exactly, but I love Thyrus work and the attention to details. Maybe this interests you still:

You can always check on the G+ group for development. That's where the testers hangout haha, so maybe it's just a bug (or soon to be done).
