What is this notification? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Twice a day I receive this strange notification from Picasa. If I tap on it, nothing happens.
I can't sleep at night with this doubt

Freeze it with TIBU and get some sleep.
You may also try to fix the app by cleaning both data n cache in apps manager.

I would do that! but I don't know which application sends this notification! I also tried to search with titanium backup any app the contain the word "picasa" in the name or package name but no luck.
Is there any way to discover which application sends the notification?

The phone has a built in Picasa link (through the MotoCast albums app). Go to settings and then manage accounts. One of the accounts that is set up should be Picasa. It just means that your login info for the Picasa account is incorrect. Either delete the account or put in the correct login info.

I don't have a Picasa account in "manage accounts" - I only have google main account

Try opening up My Gallery (the MotoCast one) and clicking settings and then online connections or online albums. See if that is what is connected to Picasa. I used to get those same errors but for PhotoBucket and then I figured out that that was where they came from.

Yeah, I also tried this but there isnt a Picasa account in My Gallery. I used to have the picasa account linked in My Gallery but I deleted it and then with TiBackup I uninstalled My Gallery, Picasa Authentication and MotoCast stuff. But I still have this notification every night.

Hm, that's very strange. Not sure what's causing it. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

[Q] Missing Auto Sync Setting

This might sound like silly question, but I couldn't find auto-sync setting on my XT910. Last week I upgraded it to the official 2.3.6 update, and today after installing a battery saving app, suddenly I didn't receive any email at all for the whole day, the new emails could only show up when I tapped refresh manually in the Gmail app, I decided to uninstall that problematic app but the issue still persisted, so I tried to look for the Auto-sync setting but I couldn't. I have a Galaxy S II too and I know so well that the setting in question is in "Account and Sync", but in my RAZR, there's only "Account" which doesn't contain Auto-sync checkbox, I looked for in "Data manager" as well, but there's only "Background data" checkbox. Up until now new emails still aren't being pushed to my RAZR, I really suspect that the app turned off my Auto-sync and didn't turn it back on.
Could anyone please help me? It's driving me nuts
P.S.: the culprit app is Easy Battery Saver, also FYI I didn't apply any mod to my RAZR, only updated to 2.3.6 as offered by Motorola
settings->account->[email protected]> sync docs, contacts, gmail, calendar are all inside.
P.S. Juicedefender is more stable.
Hi, I had tried that before, but somehow the checkboxes on the right have disappeared
please help

There's ways of doing it using the 'Activities' shortcuts offered by the likes of ADW & LauncherPro, but you can also use Smart Actions to disable background data, then enter the market. It'll pop up saying background data needs to be enabled, and take you right there.

Hey, I'm using this app. Try it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.francesandmarky.android.syncsettings&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5mcmFuY2VzYW5kbWFya3kuYW5kcm9pZC5zeW5jc2V0dGluZ3MiXQ..
Settings-> data manager-> background data, tick that.

Just add the power widget to home screen. There is a sync all button. Or am I being daft and not answering the question.....lol

I hope I don't sound like a prick, but uninstall the programs in that list and I am sure you won't have it. Why would you want to delete your list of installed apps? Also, try AppBrain and FastWebInstall (?, same company) if you haven't. You can make as many lists as you please and delete them with just as much grace. It's pretty much another way of using Play without completely doing so. It's also great because Google's backup and restore isn't perfect.
Perhaps I misunderstood the problem.

This is not only the list of currently installed apps this is the whole device history of installed apps many of them i deleted months ago.

This list depends on with which gmail ID you are logged in. If you login with a different gmail ID, the list will change according to which app you have downloaded using that ID.
So if you wanna hide/delete the list, you need to login with another ID!

Even if you uninstall the programs, the apps will still be in that list since it's a list of your entire account history of installed apps (instead of saying "installed", it will give you the option to install them).

Sentiment seems to be that we can't as exemplified by the following quote:

It seems that the thumbnails persist even after the captured images have been deleted from the Gallery. I wonder if a reboot will shift them (thinking as I type).
SGS2 ICS 4.0.3

Nope.
Thumbnails are persisting on mine even after a Restart.
This is one for the experts, I think.
Clear thumpnails in gallery or delete thumpnails in your sd and do a media scan(open gallery) to rebuild thumpnails
Has anyone found a way to do this? Please help.
Thanks.
clear images/screenshots from ICS clipboard
Hello, I just registered to post that I am having this problem too.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, rooted, running ICS 4.0.3
Long press on the image doesn't work, nothing happens.
I have a solution.
1. Open Polaris Office.
2. Create a new Word document.
3. Scroll along the bottom until you see a clipboard icon.
4. Click it and you should see the images on the clipboard.
5. Long press for the delete dialog as normal.
I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that the reason it can't be deleted is because you are trying to delete it in a field that accepts only text for some reason.
I'm guessing if you can find a place that allows images to be pasted, the clipboard will let you delete them, such as it is with Polaris or possibly other similar apps.

Cn Google overide peak time settings?

I have 3 email accounts configured all with peak times set to 08:00am - 11:00pm 7 days a week (I'm retired) with sync set to MANUAL otherwise. It seems that GMAIL ignores these settings waking me up at night with email notifications (for junk mail! 01:00am and 05:59am this morning!) I don't see any settings for Google's data sync features. Just on or off. (Calendar, Contacts, etc.)
I need to keep the phone on for emergency calls but want it to be silent for text or email notifications. Seems to work with YAHOO and HOTMAIL??
Apps I find silence the whole phone.... not just email or text notifications.
Thanks!
Edit: didn't read all of post. Go to gmail->settings->click your email address->then disable notifications

That's great for gmail, but I'm sure the OP is asking about the stock mail app. I too would love this, I have my peak time set and manual sync during off peak, but I also get email notifications all night. I think I may have to setup one of my nfc tags to mute notifications and stick it next to my bed so I can mute them when I go to sleep and unmute them when I wake up just by tapping the tag.
I want notifications during the day!!!

Mbaseball3,
Thanks for the link however it states in the description for ICS 4.0 "Phone only profiles will not work!!"
There was however a user comment who used an app called "Llama" that looks promising.... I'm going to try it....

Weird security issue with Contacts App

Hi, would like to check if anybody had experienced or heard about this issue that I am facing with the Sony Contacts App.
It seems when I open the contact "Myself", my gmail password is actually displayed just under my email.

Every time I try to edit the "Myself" app it just crashes.
I sync my gmail contacts as well as my work gmail contacts.
Haven't tried turning off all contacts but was wondering if anybody also noticed the same issue?
Thanks.
Lim.

Just checked myself, and it's all normal here. I have no idea what's going on with your phonebook
You might have entered your own password in the first name and last name field.
Edit it and change the password.
Sent from my C6802 using Tapatalk
OK maybe that's what happened but does anybody know where do I edit the name? This is because I can't edit it directly as the Contacts app will crash and when I check my Google+ and Google account my first name and last name is a per what I entered.
Sent from my C6802 using xda app-developers app
OK, some updates. I was doing some reading and noticed that some people managed to change the data on their "Myself" by the default email app (Not gmail). Tried setting up a new email account using the default email app and the name with my email and password was displayed (i.e. I think the Z Ultra has that email and password for my name). However, after changing my name it seems that it doesn't change the name in my "Myself" contacts app.
Is there any other place which I can change the username for the phone or something like that?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my C6802 using xda app-developers app
I think I have managed to solve the problem. Since I have two gmail emails I removed my default gmail account and the "Myself" details updated. So I guess since I setup my default gmail it probably took the username and password from my existing account as my first name and last name.
