just flashed it like yesterday. battery life is a bit soso but it works good. i ran it for around 17 hours 3.3 hours of display time and 3 times of 10-20 min charging from my car dock.
Been on it for 3 days.... very good ROM IMO. Only thing I miss is the burst shots. If I need to use the camera I nandroid back to viper, but other than that I'm on cm10
yea thats what i figured to. i got viper4g to where i could run it everyday and still be ok. but for now i'll run this to see where it goes

That's because its reading your sdcard as sdcard2 and as ext_SD. Go in your settings and take out one of them in the scan media folders in the music app so its only looking for your files from one SD card.

I ran it since 8/18 and I fell in love with my phone again..so smooth and responsive, and multitasking is great..I did have a few issues like the GPS issue..I would get a GPS app..clear the agps data than I nandroid to sense Rom get a lock with maps nand back to cm..I also had the market issue not downloading ...but clearing data in framework fixed that..I have had bsod a few times but sticking my.phone under a lamp would usually fix that..it is still worth it..these problems all go away and leave you with the smoothest android experience I ever had..browsing is a pleasure , I love the easy themability with great themes in the play store..the camera needs some work yes..but it is so good that u may just overlook it ..I did and now cm is my daily and my meanrom backup I bust out when I know ill he taking some pics..
Really do love this ROM. Jelly Bean is a dream to use, smooth and fast, with a gorgeous interface. But, unlike many, I could not get my GPS to work, at all. I also didn't like that I couldn't record video and the camera app sucks. Also, I don't know how many people this happened to, but the speakerphone volume was very very low when making a phone call. When listening to music through the speaker the volume was fine, so it must be an issue with making phone calls. Some random force closes here and there weren't that big an issue.
These issues were enough to force me to go back to MeanROM, hopefully not for long though....
BTW: I was not S-OFF, I am currently working on getting S-OFF.
But tell me you couldnt feel the difference In overall smoothness...I don't know if that is bc of project butter or bc its aosp or both...I've never ran aosp..but geez it really is awesome..cm10 with HTC camera app would be the perfect phone..I would be 100% satisfied for once in my life ...even with the camera issues it is really difficult to go back to sense for me..I bounce back and forth to take photos of my daughter
Yes, I can't stress enough how much I loved the HTC camera burst shots. That said, JB aosp is unbelievably smooth compared to Sense and I just can't go back. Luckily, my GPS works fine and aside from the occasional proximity sensor issue, I have zero problems with this rom. It's been my daily driver for the last week.
When I tried an early august build the calendar app didn't work with my work's exchange account. that was a biggy for me. I think that issue is fixed in the latest build, but I haven't tried it yet.
GPS isn't working for me. any ideas on a fix?

I've been on Viper since launch...
Haven't tried any of the others. Visuals are important to me as well as smoothness.

any rom would do. there all pretty simple at the moment, nobody has took their rom to the next level for this device.
Many devs are still ROMing for other phones and haven't journeyed to the LTE just yet.
only time will tell. And Ive flash just about all of the roms out now.

I will agree. My daily rom is MeanROM but I've tried them all and I think they're pretty much all the same. Only thing that's separating them are tweaks, they definitely all look the same. From what I hear the VenomRom will be the one that separates itself from the rest, when it gets released.

Dude you should try this rom. they've made this rom very light and now i usually have around 175 - 220mb FREE.
just 3 bugs so far.. which i have already reported on day one.
1- Facebook Calender Sync doesn't work.
2- Gallery and Music app fails to load and search files. ( most of the time ) its a pain though :x
3- No Predictive Text in the keyboard. ( you'll have to use the ****ty SwiftKey for that.)
I've flashed Mean rom... All I noticed was 2% drops in battery every few minutes.. And it looked like the same stock ics layout
What's so special about It
We need roms that have boot animations and tweaked batt life roms that tweak the ui something extra ordinary

Mine miltitasks ok but there is this issue of the browser reloading pages when you go back to it. Which can be a problem if you were writing something, or filling out a form, for example. In that case when you go back to the browser you have to start over. Not good.

CM10 just moments ago fixed video, so nothing major is broken anymore. I think the video is only standard def right now, but I bet HD video is coming within a few days. That was really the last thing needing major fixing honestly. I can't link you to CM10 unfortunately. Go to CM9 thread and look at page 149.

Well the release notes include the following statement: "Multitasking improvements to reduce background task killing," thus the question.
Good call. It is not fixed though, only slightly improved. Your browser pages will absolutely still reload, so forms partially completed will be gone.

Absolutely perfect in CM10, or any AOSP ROM (to my knowledge). That's the way it was designed to work - HTC are the ones who went and screwed it all up.

A thread was created about this a while back but now times have changed so i wanted to ask for opinion. Sense or pure Google for your liking?
This is my first HTC device and I decided to run stock on this phone and its great! sense is nice and its has replaced many third party apps that i would use on AOSP ROMS. But i do have complains about sense or more particular, Meanrom 4.1+.
I know this device has a large screen and all and battery is beefy but on regular use, im getting about 11-12 hours on MeanRom. I was expecting 16+ hours. its not bad but coming from an LG with an S3 CPU, i feel like i havent moved anywhere with battery life.
Also, The memory seems to be low. Im used to having 300+mb RAM free all the time, now im on this and im between 100mb and 200mb And one more thing is that my screen brigteness doesnt stick to my settings and my cpu control app doesnt stick with my Gorvernor.
What do you guys think? im having a love hate thing here but having S-on, i dont want to constantly switch roms

Then forget about both ICS and JB and go with GB. Any variant will do.
ICS/JB ROMs are just too unfinished yet to be a reliable daily driver, IMO. People are woking hard on them though, so there is no doubt they will one day become as reliable as good old GB.
Agreed.

This is a very accurate summary of where we stand. I'm still running Nottachtrix 1.3.1 even though Nottach left the Atrix over a month ago, just because everything works on it. Bluetooth, wifi, HWA, Ubuntop, all cameras, and even a decent selection of themes for both android and linux.
But with the new leak libs, there is sure to be a fantastic CM9/10 ROM that takes advantage of them. We just have to be patient.
Hi
If you're not using thoroughly your phone, the CM10 form Epinter is now reliable enough for a daily use.
I was using CM7 since months, and after trying CM10 last week, i'm still using it and have found no real limitations for a basic usage.
I'd recommend you to keep a GB based rom if you want to have the most reliable system and if video recording is a primary need for you.
Just my $.02: I don't even use the "latest" GB 2.3.7 ROM: I've returned to Neutrino 2.6 EE (the latest is 2.91 at this writing). CM 7.2 RC1 was the most stable + efficient ROM from the CM gurus for my Atrix. I charge my phone once every two or three days too.
Think about driving a car that everyone laughs at that's never needing to go to the shop. Gits ya there, gits ya back, reliably and without anyone really paying attention to it, and it just goes and goes and holds its own against everyone else. Newest doesn't always mean best; trustworthiness does.
Epinter's CM10 worked OK for me despite the few well known bugs.
You might give the brand new AtrICS ROM a shot. It's hard to believe that it could already be as stable as it claims to be, but with working hardware acceleration, it should have some bugs fixed as compared to CM10.

I switched from epinter's CM10 to AtrICS today and found it to be a fairly usable. You trade some features for others.
I prefer the interface of CM10 to AtrICS, but AtrICS feels really snappy thanks to the HWA. I'll probably get used to ICS after a while. The Camera works well, but, like others I noticed that after switching from the back camera to the front, there was some corruption on the right side of the screen. Going into Camera Settings and unchecking then rechecking the Widescreen box fixes this. There are problems with the unlock screen of AtrICS; it can be slow to appear when you press the power button and I have seen the screen turn on for a split second before turning right back off. If you let the phone go into a deep sleep, you may see a black screen for a minute, in my case the unlock screen did eventually appear. I've had one reboot right after closing a bunch of apps running in the background then trying to open a browser.
WiFi works great with AtrICS and mobile data feels faster than I remember.
My mobile gone hot after a few minute use AtrICS, and experienced network lost. The phone also hot with epinter 's version.
Restored TopSmart1.3. GB has the stablity I trust.

Does your camcorder autofocus very often (around 1-5 seconds)? Mine does with Somebody's CM10, I'm just wondering if it just me.
OK guys, I have finally gotten approval from my wife to root her rezound because she is on her 6th one and having issues. She has been saying no to rooting BC of small bugs in the roms I run.
Now that I have the approval, what is the most stable ics rom out? She likes sense mainly for the picture upload to Facebook. We both had cm7 for the Aria and she liked it... But I think that was because it was so stable. JB is out of the question because she takes/watches videos of/with our son everyday.
I haven't ran a sense rom in about six months now so I don't if the performance and battery life has gotten better either.
Thanks.

To get to t2 right away just tell them that you've done battery pull, factory reset etc. Make sure that you get the point across to them that the phone is having hardware issues that cannot be resolved. You could be more dramatic about the over heating issue and they will take that seriously, as sadly is is a widespread known issue with the Rezzy. Chances are you will be able to get to Tier 2 within 5 minutes and another CLNR Rezound will be sent out to you.

Can't go wrong with Ineffabilis Deus v1.2 if you want a Sense 3.6 rom (same as stock for the WAF). You do need to install the global RUU with it to update to the latest firmware but that's common with a lot of roms now.
Venom is Sense 4 based and also a good rom.

+1
I put that on my Wife's Rez because she uses it for her business calls and she needed something super stable. She's been using it for months and has not had a complaint about it. She tethers to her laptop when she's out at meetings and loves it! Nils is the Man!
