[Q][View]Internal SD [SOLVED] - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Device is s-off (revolutionary), hboot 6.13.1002, running GB from the multitool.
Long story short, I did a factory reset - resulting in having to re-s-off the device and what not.
Now to the problem it self, ever since "the incident" (reset) I can't access the internal SD via recovery. Meaning I can't backup, can't install any rom's via the device and so on. It sort of ignores its existence - tries to find an SD but doesn't go on to try and discover the internal one.
As for the CWM recovery, whenever I flash it directly or via Rom manager it gets stuck on the HTC screen and doesn't boot into recovery.
Only way i managed to get it working again is using the revolutionary tool, after it says the device is already S-off, it offers to install recovery, which somehow works but again, won't read the internal SD.
Anyone has any idea what I can do to get recovery working again?

flashing new recovery via " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"?

Tried it, same result as flashing with ROM manager.

bumpzor
anyone?

You may want to rebuild completely, using the HC - GB rollback steps.
Incidentally, I've never had to re-S-off after a factory reset. That might be what messed you up in hte first place.

Figures..
If not too much of a trouble, any chance you could explain with a quick how-to, step by step?
Just in general what i'm trying to achieve.
Thanks in advance
EDIT:
And nvm, just started fresh, factory reset, step by step reinstall and recovery is working again and i can access int sd. lols.
Thanks

[Q] No recovery mode !!!

Hi,
I tried changing from "2e recovery" to "3e recovery" that doesn't check signature. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the program was written for Samsung phones.
The result of that "stupid" act was that when I Power Reset with Volume down I get into "Factory Mode" which allows me to test the phone, clear its flash and reboot into operating system - no recovery option !!!
I tried to "adb reboot recovery" the phone reboots and hangs with the green HTC on its screen.
I tried to copy files into root but its write protected.
It seems I am stuck in present Android version (2.1) as without recovery I can't upgrade - which was the reason for the unfortunate "3e recovery" installation in the first place.
Any idea? Advice? - Maybe a possibility to upgrade WITHOUT going into recovery mode (I guess not...)?
Thanks in advance
I think you can use the RUU to fix your problem. Head to the sticky on the dev side and look for the how to downgrade to 1.31.
Download the RUU 1.31 for legend. This will flash your phone back to unroot and every thing gone. So use titanium backup to backup your stuff. If ROM manager still can take you to cwm. You still can do a nandroid backup.
Than use the ruu exe from the pc and follow on screen instruction.
If this fail. Use your gold card and put the LEGEIMG.zip than boot to bootloader and update it. You get this zip also from some of the rooting guides.
Good luck

Is there a way to check that the gold card is actually working as a gold card?
Do I have to rename LEGEIMG.zip to update.zip before booting to bootloader?
Thanks

ARRGGGG!! How do you do NANDROID backup?

I installed TWRP on my phone, and went into Bootloader an hit RECOVERY so I can get to the program (the first time I did this it brought me to the TMRWP program). THIS time, it completely wiped my friggin' phone... after I sat there like 4 hours re-setting up everything PERFECTLY how I wanted it.
What's weird is it kept ALL my apps that I converted to SYSTEM APPS, but all my user stuff is gone.
Lesson learned... Don't click recovery from Bootloader.
That has yet to happen to me with any recovery and 3 devices currently with twrp. Might be a step missed with the install or maybe you left a bootloader update zip and ran it when you rebooted? Or it can be a bug as going to recovery from bootloader via a cold start is how to get there traditionally. I would email teamwin and try to sort it out or redo the recovery install, making sure to check the md5 of the file after you download it.

Your supposed to click recovery at bootloader. Thats where you do backup, restore and flash new roms.
HTC Sensation z710e
ICS 4.0.3
Sense version 4.0
Software Sense-o-maniac v1.3
Kernel. 3.0.30 Bricked
Radio 11.68.3504
That's what I thought too. If I'm not mistaking, I flashed the new firmware after I did the TWRP, so maybe that screwed it up somehow. I take it TWRP must be the LAST image you flash? Only flashes I remember doing were:
Customize bootloader screen
TWRP.
firmware update
Do I need to re-flash the new firmware before re-flashing TWRP, or is the firmware going to remain no matter what I do from this point on?
Just adb flash recovery. Put the recovery image in your platform tools folder. Adb reboot bootloader. when you are rebooted adb flash recovery recovery.img.
Or use one of the many tools made to do that on our forums

Well I went ahead and used the GOO Manager to flash TWRP again, and this time it worked fine. I'm going to re-setup my phone again then before I customize it back like I had it, going to try to get to recovery and see if it works.
With it now being installed, does that mean I can't flash anything directly from SD Card or modify the bootloader anymore without it causing problems?
What I mean, moreso, is... if I ever put factory reset. will it reload the factory rom + keep the newest firmware I installed (etc.) or do I nee to back up the phone with TWRP and recover from that when I want to load it back?
Factory reset just puts things back to the way they were without the stuff in the data partition or any user apps or settings. This means that say you flash a custom rom, it will reset to as if that custom rom was freshly installed since the custom rom has replaced the factory rom in the /system/ parition and anything else related to it.
With that said it is usually a good practice after rooting a fresh device to do the nandroid and then transfer it to a computer before you do anything else. Note that while you probably won't be switching recoveries a lot, that nandroid backups generally work only with the recovery that generated them so don't get them mixed up.

Serious Help Required

My Rezound and I are stuck.
Let me start at the beginning. My Rezound was running “RUU_Vigor_VERIZON_WWE_1.02.605.6” and it was unlocked and rooted. So recently Verizon started forcing this firmware update with no way to stop it that I could find. So I decided to update on my own. I did a Nanoid backup of everything and a Titanium back up of everything. I relocked my phone and I found “RUU-build-4-03-605-2” at Android Police [Exclusive Download] Full RUU Build 4.03.605.2 For The HTC Rezound. So I downloaded it and renamed it PH98IMG.zip. Placed it on my SD card and booted into HBOOT were it loaded the new version. It worked so I unlocked my phone and loaded “recovery-ra-vigor-3.15-gnm.img”. I loaded SU from the recovery had it updated at Google Play. Reloaded Titanium rooted and this is where things started to go wrong. No permissions were being given to Titanium. I tried “recovery-ra-vigor-3.14-gnm.img” and I even tried SUSuper but nothing worked. I went into recovery and did a complete Nanoid recovery. Since then I have not been able to get anything to work. I cannot load any older versions. I try to reload “RUU-build-4-03-605-2” but it makes it to #4 system were it gets stuck in a loop of unzipping and updating.
My very last attempt was to unlock the phone load “recovery-ra-vigor-3.13-gnm.img” go into recovery and do a wipe of everything. Then from XDA-Developers [ROM][ICS Global Phone Update][4.03.605.1] Stock, Root, Deodex, Busybox, Global Phone - xda-developers I downloaded the ICS Global Phone Update Firmware and the ICS Global Phone Update. In recovery I used “flash a zip” to update the firmware. I locked the phone and renamed the Phone Update to PH98IMG.zip. Booted into HBOOT and allowed it to update the software. I instantly powered down and renamed “RUU-build-4-03-605-2” to PH98IMG.zip rebooted to HBOOT and it made it to #4 system where it got stuck in the loop.
When I try just to start the phone it stays on the white HTC screen.
What can I do to get my phone working again? Please be specific with the steps to take because I am still at the bottom of the learning curve.
One other question: Can my Nanoid backup recover the data for the internal card so Titanium will be able to recover my programs.
Thank You SOOOOOOO very much for your help.

You tried in recovery turning on Full Format and formatting "system"?
Also try loading a custom rom and flashing it via recovery and see if everything works properly
Don't use the Su option in recovery always flash SU using one of the flash zips either SuperSU or Superuser

Thank you for your response. I went into “Recovery – Wipe” and selected “Toggle Ext Full Wipe”. Then I went to “Format “ and selected “Format all to ext3”. It showed me the warnings and I pressed power to continue.
I tried to recover using my Nandroid backup but it did not work. So I formatted a second time. This time I flashed the firmware zip file and it worked 100% this time. Rebooted to HBOOT/Fastboot and locked the phone. The phone rebooted and made it all the way through setup and to home screen. Software version 4.0.3-605.1 so why stop there. I booted into HBOOT and let version 4.0.3-605.2 load and it made it to “System” and got stuck in the loop.
So to make a long story short I started all over again and flashed the ICS Global Phone Update Firmware. I verified that everything was up and running. Then I tried one last thing. I went into recovery and did a Nandroid recovery. I only selected “Data” and “Ext-card” and let it go. I am now fully operational with all of my programs including my wallpaper. The only thing I can tell I lost was Titanium Backup’s backup. Everything shows no backup and no files are frozen.
Thank you again for your help. :good:

I kinda screwed up, I think...

So I wanted to root my EVO 4G LTE, and I unlocked the bootloader, and then I did moonshine to get S-OFF. The ADB worked fine before that, but every rom I tried to flash didn't get past the boot screen. I looked on here for help and saw stuff about a boot img but since I couldn't get into the ADB I couldn't do anything. So, I decided to do use VipeRUU to get back to where I was in the beginning and try to get back to a stock rom. VipeRUU never could recognize my device so I had to do that bypass method, so I did get to S-ON and have the bootloader unlocked without saying tampered. Also, every time I try to connect my phone to my computer by USB I get the message saying USB Device not recognized. I don't know why that is happening. I can't get into the ADB, if I try to open it, it just flashes for a second running through some text and then instantly closes. Maybe I don't have drivers or something? However, I don't remember deleting anything of the sort.
Now I want to do either one of these things:
1. Just return the phone to how it was before I even tried to root it in the first place.
2. Help me get it back to a standard root that I can use and connect to my computer without issue and still get into my bootloader and potentially flash a decent rom.
I know a lot of these problems exist individually on here, but I feel like I have a specific issue, so I don't really know where to approach this from. All help is appreciated.
Download MeanBean ROM to your computer. Boot into recovery and hook your phone up to your PC. Use the mount setting in recovery to mount either your internal or external storage to your PC then put the ROM zip on your phone. Unmount once you finish transferring the file to your phone. Do a system wipe in recovery (if you're using TWRP 2.6.0.0 choose the Advanced wipe option and select cache, Dalvik cache, Data and System) then flash the MeanBean zip. Once it finishes choose the option to reboot your phone. The phone will boot to the HTC splash screen, then it will reboot into recovery mode. Flash the ROM zip again, and reboot. Let it do its thing and the phone should boot up in a few minutes. Also, check out the link in my sig-it has some useful information contained in it and even has links for the HTC drivers and an easy to follow guide on how to setup ADB on your computer. I also recommend getting S-off:thumbup:

[RESOLVED] Soft Bricked my HTC One Need Help

Well, there's not much to say other than I factory resetting and wiped EVERYTHING on my phone besides the Bootloader files, and Recovery, there is no System file from which to boot from, so I can not boot past HTC Logo, I am able to go into Recovery and Bootloader, but can not flash ANYTHING over ADB/Fastboot because of multiple errors, some being "Not Allowed" and "unable to read zip file." I need help bad, I tried RUUs, RUU Zips, Everything, all the same (Except RUUs, which are stupid since they never work, they either say Error: 155, or dont go past 5%). Nothing is working, I am unable to flash nothing....
If you need more information (that I can be able to pull, I can't pull stuff like ROM details since that doesn't even exist anymore) I can try to put it up, if I can get it.
Thanks in advanced!
(Information in my Signature is outdated, only things that are current are the RADIO, RECOVERY, HBOOT, S-ON, BOOTLOADER, and Root is...I dont know if I am still rooted)
Was able to 'somehow' mount my Internal Storage through TWRP and installed ROM, and GApps.
UPDATE: I somehow got my Device to get mounted and was able to access the Internal storage through my PC for idk how long, so I instantly copied the ROM and GApps I had to the phone, which was a success, I got them on my phone and was able to install the .zips through TWRP (Had to update to TWRP 2.8.1.0) and now I am awaiting to see if the ROM works.
The ROM install was a success, got my phone working again. Someone change post to resolved? Thanks.
