Root your phone and install market access / market enabler is the most given advice here, as this question comes by every now and than. I did not try this as my default market is working fine.

Hello,
With android market being now open for paids apps in more countries. Google has silently updated the android market to version 2007.
reference: http://market.android.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=190860
however, my phone (rooted, exploid root, 026) has not as of now updated it.
Can others please tell me whether your market app has updated itself or not and why mine might not be updating...
P.S. I had market enabler installed. Which I have just uninstalled.
I've Replied to this, try this trick! It should work for you!

hey thanks a ton
Mine updated itself. But after the update I was unable to download or update any apps. So uninstalled the update and it worked again. Anyone else experienced similar behavior on X10's?

i have my xperia x10a whit R2BA026 rooted whit the exploid x10 mini, and have market access installed, no problem what so ever,,, i know think i can unistall market access, since the use of this app is to give us access to paid apps,, now that market in mexico is able, we can pay apps whit a google account
So I've used stock RB020, Singapore. My market app is still ver. 1668. Now first page already shows the paid apps, but when I go into the "Games" Tab, it only shows Top Free and Just In.. Anyway to update it?
Many thanks..

Im stationed in germany and just purchased the samsung galaxy 2 through tmobile/base but i have the euro app store. is it possible to make this phone work with the US app store? If so step by step instrictions plz. im new to android. I have rooted my phone.
Nope, its not possible in your phone. But you can always change the region of App store in PC and download from there.

Actually its possible. Search for Market Enabler in the market, its free. Since you are rooted you can use it. Download, install and run the app, give SU permission and then on the second tab select the carrier you would like to fake and Voila! It will go to any store you want.
Make sure you close the market before performing fake sim code with Market Enabler
Thanks alot, worked like a champ.

do all market have the same apps .... i just spoke to a friend who lives in south america and his market apps are not the same as mine .. is there a world merket or is it based on region?
A lot of apps are based on country from my understanding. You will have to use an app such as marketaccess to use apps from different countries.
Some apps are region limited, you will need an app like market enabler, available in the market of all places
Market enabler doesnt work with the latest market anymore :-(

If market enabler doesn't work for you, use market unlocker.

Im on Market 3.44 and my market enabler still works.
Several apps aren't available in Greece. Most of them are Google s market enabler didn't so it for me. I will try again.
Hi,
My Note 2 was bought in Spain but I'm now living in UK.
I'm a Three customer and for some reason I can't find on Google Play any UK restricted app (BBC iPlayer, TV Catchup, Netflix or Halifax Bank).
If I try to download them via Google play desktop store then it says that my device isn't compatible.
I had the same problem when I was using T-Mobile.
Should I edit build.prop or flash any special file in order to be able to have those apps shwing on my Google Play?
Thank you in advance

I think you might have to change your csc file to a uk one but the easiest way if your rooted is use market enabler or one of the xposed framework apps. I think there is modaco toolkit or all apps in playstore for xposed

I didn't found any market enablet and Xmod xposed module from Modaco didn't do anything neither.
I flashed 3 CSC file but it still doesn't show UK restricted apps... Any other ideas?
That's very strange. Only thing I can think of is clear cache and data from playstore and maybe play services. Here's market enabler if you want to try it

Have you tried something like hide ninja from the playstore to spoof your location see if that makes any difference. You could try one of the modded play stores on xda as well

Hi mate,
MarketEnabler already shows that I'm using the correct code, which is the one of Three.
I don't see the reason why I should spoof my location since I'm already in UK.
I'm wondering if the problem would be that I'm root or I just should flash 3G rom (which is dated as December 3012...)
Thanks
Root can't be an issue with playstore ass some apps require root. I'm not an expert but if it was me I'd uninstall playstore and then install one of the modded one's like team blackout. If that didn't work I'd change my rom

Well I flashed Three 4.1.2 rom, which is dated on December and then I finally could access to UK apps.
The funny thing was that although I finally could download UK restricted apps I got a generic IMEI, thus I didn't have signal although I'm a Three customer. I solved the IMEI issue flashing a BTU modem and I still can download UK restricted apps, but for some reason Three FC when I try to access to my account. At least now I can download and update bbc iplayer, netflix and so on.
