So I get the update notification to go to 3.2, and started downloading. All is well...97% complete and almost there. I tilted my phone from portrait to landscape and the download progress disappeared then got the notification again and had to start completely over from scratch. Anyhow, just wanted to give everyone a heads up if this is an unknown issue...just best to get your dl started and set your phone down until it's complete.
I'm new to the forums and can't post in the main MeanRom thread (yet) to let Mikey know but wanted to give everyone a heads up.
Anyone else run into this?

It's actually for any dev that wants to incorporate their rom with the app. You can read more about it here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29501085

Thanks njfoses. Nice to see there's a common framework all the developers can leverage into their own roms. Appreciate the clarification.

I'm pretty sure HTC will fix it with another OTA. A known temp fix would be to hard reset your phone.

I suppose with the official launch Friday, they have enough time to push out another OTA update.

Wasn't this addressed on Saturday? Is it happening to you now (after updating) or are you just reading about this?
For some reason my phone hasn't found any of the OTA fixes... I did the first OTA (to 1.13.651.7), and now it keeps telling me "There are no updates available for your phone." Any ideas? Thanks!
HTC came out said late august early september, in light of this recent news is anyone taking the OTAs?
I've taken all the OTAs without any problems. Phone works great and I have no problems with Free3vo.
Since HTC came forward and said they will unlock I'm debating updating mine.

Why wouldnt u take the updates that have already been released? All know root exploits work with the OTAs that have been released..future updates ok i might see not taking but not taking the ones out now doesnt make any sense!!

+1 I recently got a warranty replacement for mine and I debated taking the update for a couple days. I finally decided to do it because the current temp root exploit works with both software versions. I really don't see much point in not taking the update.

Because the OTA updates the bootloader (from v1.30 to v1.40... I think). The current root exploit is only for the OS and when/if s-off is acheived from our devs it may only work on the earlier version. Hboot has control over more than just the OS so if the earlier version has an exploit that the newer version doesn't then everyone who took the OTA may very well be screwing themselves out of s-off until HTC does unlock the bootloader. I myself am going to stay away from any and all updates until either HTC or teamwin or anyone else can give us full root/s-off. My phone runs just fine like it is now, on launch day software.
I just updated to the latest ota, now my dialer icon is gone from the app drawer and lock screen. The dialer is there, but icon is gone... Can someone post the apk for me so I can get the icon back? Thanks.

Not sure if this will do anything for you but you might need this as well. I tried to attach it on the previous post but it wouldn't let me. You have to rename it to "HtcDialer.odex". I changed it to a .zip because I kept getting invalid file while trying to attach it.

Verizon PDF - http://support.verizonwireless.com/pdf/system_update/droid_razr.pdf
Some good news for those of you suffering with that little slice of sexy otherwise known as the Motorola Droid RAZR: An update's on the way (and we're told that a soak test has already begun) that's going to squash a few bugs, including that blasted SIM card error, and to improve the camera. Here's the list:
SIM error notification has been fixed
Improved camera features and quality
Improved stability of menu access, browser, phone dialer, video playback and music player to prevent force-close errors and lockups
Updated group message notification in e-mail
Improvement in 3G/4G data connectivity
Maintain network connection upon completion of a voiec call
Background color has been adjusted to improve readability in Lapdock connection UI menu items.
Good stuff. Look for the update to drop any time now.

Yes. Complete stock.
No to the unroot. Apply the Forever Root patch and cross your fingers.
Wonder if this update will break root.
In my experience, it's safe to assume that all OTA updates will break root. This doesn't mean the device can't be re-rooted, but if you're really worried about it, it's best to wait for your favorite dev to incorporate the update in their ROMs.

How come the manual update.zip download is not available from someone who has gotten it already...I would have guessed this would be the place to find it!
The OTA here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20477505&posted=1#post20477505 can keep root with voodoo rootkeeper. So theres a good chance you can keep root using this.
I'd suggest trying this anyway as the leaked OTA can't currently be rooted after its applied, I assume this will be the case with the official update.

Almost no one has taken this OTA because no one wants to be the one who lost S-OFF/Ability to S-OFF and has to tell everyone else about it. There are one or two people in the General section who are pure stock, you'll probably find answers there.
