Good u20i stock rom? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I'd really like to install a stable stock rom for my Xperia X10 mini PRO (hallo, pro here~)
Sony PC companion's update/repair service has been reporting 'Sony has no updates for your phone' ever since I installed it (four weeks) (I'm in Denmark), and I'm a little nervous of using the update/repair service on a different location setting in case I get the wrong software/firmware installed (I need querty-dk-no keyboard layout for my physical keys).
I really (Reeaally) want to use SEMC debrand engine (Achtojan), but they're juuust debugging working out the xml files for the physical keyboard layout for english now (last post on it was yesterday).
Are there other stock roms rooted and up for use? It doesn't matter too much if they are only Android 2.1 right at the moment.
Thank you

This one is stock ROM 2.1 and rooted, it should be mostly optimized Android 2.1.
For Xperia Keyboard on SDE, I can't do anything as it seems that it just won't work. It needs more time than I've thought.

Thanks! I did spend some time looking for a WWE or DK/NO firmware for CMpro (What you've linked me to), but there's just greek available for 2.1.1.A.0.6 SE Firmware currently. I'm not clear on if the keyboard encoding is incorporated on the firmware or the ROM. Usually firmware is stuff on the chipsets of computer equipment, so it could be either from my POV. Can someone please clarify?

As far as I know, it's all in language and settings of the ROM, choosing Danish as your phone's language should automatically give you Danish layout for your keyboard too, The files are in /system/usr.

Great! Thanks. The forum split between x10 mini and x10 mini pro can certainly be a doozy to navigate in. This is perfect, as I have a chance to sell mine on to a friend.

Be Careful ! Backup your system before because in this ROM, keyboard is disabled.
This is not a new ROM!
This is just a basic tuning.
exchange framework, and save the xrecovery
Do not use this "rom"

my friends look at these threads, this rom is not good and in all fairness is not a rom at all. it is a backup of someones stock 2.1 (take a look in your settings>about phone it says is eclair 2.1 meaning it is not built by the "dev" merely he has put apps on it and made a backup for you to restore)
not to mention that most of the apps on the rom are PIRATED or "warez" if you will. this guys threads at mini pro have been all closed and even one of my threads has been shut because although i made it to warn people of the "rom" people started to talk about using the applanet app on this rom to download illegal apk's MOST OF WHICH ARE MADE BY GUYS THAT USE XDA regularly Support devs and do not use this rom please i will be reporting this thread too if it links to the guys rom and this build has warez also

like i said ^^^ it is rubbish and full of illegal software that COULD in theory get anyone who installs it in trouble legally
meh
Guys! You are rude. Offcourse is the initial stock rom tunned. So what. Is his work, like i sayd in other post ( actualy lol it wass my ideea 3 days ago in x10 mini threads), it a beggining, no? until we will have a hacked boot , is better than nothing!!!! So we can tank s him.
And mehmehmen , to install a custom rom, you need a hacked boot! this is legal? NO! If it wass legal , the Sony leave the boot to install hwo cares what he want. So pls spaire us with you legal stuff!

[Q] Themes breaking RC2...

Hey there; I have a problem. I'm not sure where to post this as owain's thread is now locked, so decided to create a new thred (My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere on the forum - the search function of the xda app simply sucks).
Anyway, the problem is that whenever I try to install a theme through xrecovery it will shove the phone into bootloop, does anyone know how to fix this? I tried a few seperate themes to no avail.
Thanks in advance.

Baseband version:
M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-5340415
Kernel Version:
2.6.29
Mod Version:
xCyanogenPro By Owain94 &Slade87
Build Number:
RC2
This should answer both of you. I thought that was the latest baseband version, and I've not had problems before I installed RC2; I am 99% sure that that's when I started having the problems. Also yes I did do a full wipe and clean restore a few times... Well by that I mean I did a "Factory reset" from xrecovery, if you meant restoring with PC Companion then forget it I'd rather stick with this default theme than do that xD. But there must be a simpler fix, right?
P.S. Thanks for replying owain; it's nice to see that you still care about your rom users
Okay... no reply to that. I checked across the forum and that definitely is the correct and latest baseband. Could this maybe have something to do with me restoring a backup from titanium? It's the only thing I can think of right now. Is there at least a log that I can check on my phone after I've attempted to install a theme? Or is that not possible to retrieve on a bricked phone?
Edit: Oh one more thing; I know that flashing zips through xrecovery isn't the problem as I successfully flashed dual touch through it. But before you say it; it can't be flashing dual-touch that caused my current problem, as I tried flashing themes before flashing dual-touch and it bricked my phone. I'm pretty sure I can't provide any more information now as to what might be the cause of the problem.
well the theme's are for MDPI size
the roms were in MDPI but rc2 is is LDPI so it won't work

So are there no compatible themes at all for RC2? And can I not just change the lcd density to make the old themes work? Well thanks for the reply anyway.

Hey guys,
this is a Port of the recently in released in China.
This ROM can still be rooted by SuperOneClick root. Xrecovery comes preinstalled though. Do not forget that the W8 still comes with Android 2.1 still its nice as some of the stuff was updated. So if you want to update you existing 2.1 this might be a great choice.
You can remove any app you don't want from the zip or copy the ones from 2.1 to the zip you need as well.
Please Backup your build.prop before flashing so you can revert back to original state
Links
W8 Port v1.0 Please read instructions / This is Android Eclair (2.1)
Instructions:
place on sdcard
boot to xrecovery
install as custom zip
if you come from other custom rom (higher than android 2.1) do a factory reset BEFORE flashing the zip file
reboot (like stock SE firmware for pro) takes awfully long
The Works:
Everything
The Not Works
Nothing found so far
Bugs:
Some stuff is not ldpi like the widgets but it works pretty good.
Nice android 2.1 right?
did you change anything from the Original rom?
that was fast :b

Installing MiniCM7Pro v21 OR CyanoCream

My kernel is the stock version. Basebands and all other requirements have been met. I have rooted my x10MP with Flashtool and unlocked Bootloader. I have also installed CWM. I do not have xRecovery installed as I assume one recovery program would be sufficient.
According to MiniCM7Prov21's thread, all requirements have been met. However, when I try to "install zip from sd" in CWM's menu, it always returns a message saying "Installation failed".
This was the same for CyanoCream's ROM.
Could someone help me out please? I've tried reading through the other threads but it seems no one had such problems.
The steps I followed were from the following threads:

As far as I know, both use xRecovery (a 1 year old recovery). I suggest you to install nAa's kernel and install or MiniCM7 2.2.0 or CyanogenMod9 v02.

No, no need for both. xRecovery is old. No one uses it anymore.
Just flash nAa's kernel (there is a lot of guides out there), boot in CWM, flash either Mini CM7 2.2.0 (Android 2.3.7) or CyanogenMod9 v02 (Android 4.0.3) and be happy.

The first one is, with sure, the more stable. I recommend the second only if you want a really tasty Ice Cream Sandwish phone. It isn't the MOST stable, but it's more stable than a lot of other ROMs.
Good luck and give us a feedback if everything went well and if you liked.

Hi there! I've successfully installed MiniCM and it's working fine. Really like the new design. A little question though. As I need to time in Mandarin/Chinese from time to time, could you point me to any sources that can help me install a Chinese/Mandarin keyboard in addition to the default Android keyboard?
There's a little problem though. Whenever I miss a call, the phone will play a song along with the notification. However, this song isn't set as my notification tone. In fact, it is just one of the songs in my music library. Is there any way to work around this?

I've decided to search around the market for some chinese input apps. May try to pull out the stock chineseinput apk from my mum's X10 Mini when she's back ^^
As for the ringtones...I've managed to find a workaround, albeit a little troublesome but no worries.

NO problem. Anything I can help, just ask me

can't remember ROM name... plz help

Hi,
Okay, first of all: I'm really sorry for this topic. But I have searched over 10 pages in the development section and I really can't find the ROM I am looking for...
So I will just describe what I remember
This rom was based on the Sony stock firmware, so all hardware etc works fine. But they removed all Sony apps (and I mean all).
So the ROM looks like AOSP but with the sony firmware running in the back...
The topic also mentions the ability to flash "Rom Control"
Anyone got an idea?
Thanks

This ROM didn't have AOSP interface or ROM Control. Also, this ROM is quite new. Or should I say "was"?
we're never gonna find out
in the meanwhile: anyone got an alternative for what I'm looking for?
- clean ROM/AOSP style/no Sony bloatware
- but sony firmware running in background for optimal stability
- only useful Sony stuff (like all hardware supported etc)
- liveware manager (not sure if you can get this from store?)
MiniCMSandwich and grab LiveWare Manager from Play Store for free.
And this bloatware...if there is then Titanium Backup uses high quality recycle bins for these
What I mean, is that Titanium Backup is great to remove system apps.
