i am using 4.04 build number 4.1.B.0.587
oki!
The follow this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1682224
all you need change is you download .587 kernel tft insteed of .431 as the guide says.
Related
1. First download 4.0.3 kernel. (Neo V officially but will work on Neo)
2. Open flashtool 7.0 or newer version and flash just the kernel: untick wipe data/cache and tick exclude system/baseband and no final verification check.
3. Root with DooMLoRD's one click method shown here.
4. Optional: install CWM.
5. Now reflash 4.0.4 kernel using flashtool like shown above.
If you somehow do not have 4.0.4 firmware or if you are not on ICS but you want to update to, follow this guide from where you can download 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 ftf.
is it also applicable on Neo MT15i ? ? ?

this thread is for 4.0.4 android version but you may try the same steps on your device just with flashing .42 kernel, rooting with zergrush v4 method NOT this one and then reflashing .62 just be sure that nothing bad can happen to your phone if you flash just the kernel

I'm not sure what you want to say. If you are asking about updating to ICS, rooting the phone is optional. Here is how you can update to ICS.
I must have ICS 4.0.4, for I can from 2.3.4.¿?
Sorry muy bad bad bad ... english.

you must be on 4.0.4 but I posted a link in the previous posts how to update to 4.0.4 if it is still not available in your country.
Is The Kernel Updated To 3.0.x in ICS 4.0.4
Works!!!
I confirm that this works.
From 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431) then flashed the kernel (4.1.A.0.562) and followed the doomlords guide and back to (4.1.B.0.431).
Phone (Xperia NEO) rooted =) locked BL thanks man.
Ok I'm a noob. Where the hell is the thank button
ok i need to post first to see the thank button.
Works great.
I've bootlooped my phone several times before, with the other tuts, but this works great.
Works here, locked bootloader.

Since only the kernel is flashed that is why it says 4.1.B.0.431.. For rooting of 4.0.4 we need to flash the kernel of the older version 4.0.3 and that is exactly what you did!
So carry on with your process of rooting i.e root your device with the DoomLord's ICS kit, install CWM and at last flash the orginal kernel for 4.0.4(4.1B.0.431)
yes..do the above said...carry on rooting 1st...gudluck

Yes. If you flash entire .ftf exclude everything except kernel.
Or simply flash kernel.sin trough fastboot, or if you don't know how to, there is .ftf with just kernel in my thread how to root 4.0.4.
I used the method you describe from a tutorial on the official Sony forums and it worked just fine. There, you'll also find the firmware/kernels you need. I cannot post external links here but if you search for "{Guide} How To Root Xperia™ Smartphone Running ICS or GB ( Ice Cream Sandwich or Gingerbread )" on google you should find thread 41119...
hello folks! I bought a few days a xperia active, I installed the superuser doing the downgrade to gb, then bring it to version 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.431.
I also installed the kernel panic so I can not do the update to 587,
someone kindly explain what should I do to update? I have to change the kernel?
thanks to all.

To update you need to flash the .587 ftf using flashtool and after that flash a prerooted kernel for ics. You didn't need to downgrade if you want to root ics. If your bootloader is unlocked, just flash a prerooted kernel like kernel panic or rage kernel

Since you are on unlocked bootloader i suggest you install jb. It has been ported for sola too but don't know if and which bugs could exist.
If you want to restore the stock rom, search the ftf file from sola development section and dowload it. Flash it via flashtool and you are done.

jb is jellybean. Latest android os. Check here a modified version of jb --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288630
.img is not the custom rom but the kernel mate.
As about stock: download the ftf and open it with winrar. Extract kernel.sin and flash it via fastboot mode. After that flash via flashmode the ftf..
Stock
Jb(jelly bean) is a new branch of software newer than Ics(ice cream sandwich), in my opinion i recomend ultimate rom V4z but you have to read the instructions and last posts carefully.
In case you still dont want to install a new rom, heres the stock,
