Issues:
#1 Every time I restart my phone, it goes to a session that was 2weeks ago. ie (text messages are erased and reset back to where it was two weeks ago, My pictures i've taken are gone and the ones from two weeks ago are only there.) Basically its like the phone doesn't remember anything after two weeks ago.
#3 Factory reset / Hard reset doesn't do anything. I get to the triangle with the exclamation point and push the up volume + power to get to another menu. I select wipe data/factory reset --- I get the following
#2 I can't for the life of me unlock the bootloader for HBOOT 1.93.0002 with Hasoon2000's tool
I would like to install Jelly bean on this phone.
I am BY FAR no expert, but it looks as though your bootloader is still locked. You need to submit your Token ID to HTC and they will send you a .bin file that you can use to unlock your phone's bootloader.
Again, perhaps I'm not understanding your issue correctly so I don't want to go into too much detail and steer you in the wrong direction. Hopefully one of the gurus can pop in and shed some more light on your problem.

Thanks for your input. I have my code and have tried to get this to work. It loads the unlock_bootloader.bin file but on the restart after selecting unlock it still reverts back to being in last weeks mode.

This is what i get when i select WIPE DATA/factory reset from recovery mode accessed through---> @ red triangle in recovery mode -----> pushing volume up + power button
When I reset my phone to factory within the phone options itself, the phone just restarts. It goes back to what i did on Aug 21st 2012. In fact every time i reset my phone it goes back to Aug 21st 2012 ----> erasing everything i've done for the day.

Another thing you could try (assuming that you haven't done so), is to install an ICS RUU.

Heck maybe even start with gb ruu. See if you can work from there and we get that you can't unlock your bootloader bud. so try that ruu and I'd say otherwise call htc/cell provider company cause that's goofy stuff

Thanks for your help. I've called HTC they say they can't help me because they suspect my phone has been rooted. I've even reassured them my problems are not a results of rooting but when i recieved the ICS ota
Also don't you have to be s-off ans super-cid to downgrade?
Thanks again

Try flashing the ICS ruu (Make sure it's not an OTA!) through the computer. This can be done by getting the RUU for your carrier (make sure it's an ICS one), preferrably the 531.3 version or the R2 version if you're on T-Mobile (which you are from the pictures). After you have it, rename it to PH85IMG and then put it in an accessible location.
Assuming you have fastboot drivers set up, open command prompt and make sure your phone is fully charged and is in fastboot mode.
Then type in the following commands in RED:
fastboot erase cache
(If it doesn't allow you due to an error "Remote: Not allowed", it's not a big deal)
fastboot oem rebootRUU
(Please note that the case IS important here. rebootruu WILL NOT work. It has to be rebootRUU. It will load up a screen with HTC text in silver. This is normal)
fastboot flash zip PH85IMG.zip
(Now this WILL take some time, this is why a fully charged battery is important. Oh yeah, also do NOT listen to what the green bar on the phone says, it is usually wrong. You will know it's done when it says "OKAY" and nothing more happens after that (even after 5 minutes) OR when it brings up an error, usually stated in text such as "FAILED". Whatever happens, I would like you to copy and paste the entire output, starting from fastboot erase cache, down to the very end.)
Good luck!

Straight from HTCDev.com , & NOTE : THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRENTY
You are about to start the process of unlocking your device. Unlocking your device allows you to install custom Operating Systems (“OS”) onto your device. Custom OS’s are not tested as thoroughly as your original OS, and unlocking your device may void all or parts of your warranty. HTC disclaims any and all liability for proper functioning of your device after the bootloader has been unlocked and for data lost in the unlocking process. To prevent unauthorized access to your data, unlocking the bootloader will delete all personal data from your device including applications, text messages and personalized settings.

Why would HTC patch this? Isn't it their process? They even have a warning saying you are voiding your warranty.
Don't let that stop you from Dev'ing here though... I plan on having this phone.
HTC released this method on HTCDev.com/BootLoader , they give all right's to unlock your bootloader . It won't get patched bro & once we get root yaya !

I think you might be a compulsive liar after reading this as well as all the other crap you're posting around here. Just saying, no need to lie to people you don't even know.

Unlocking the bootloader through HTC does not give you S=Off, I had the same issue when I unlocked my sensation using this method. You need S=Off to have write permissions to install a custom recovery image or ROM's.
Typical HTC BS, I far as I concerned, once you have acknowledged the warning about voiding warranty, you have accepted the risk and they phone should be fully unlocked and not the partial one they are giving you.
The whole HTC bootloader unlock method is NOT what you think it is and is very misleading as far as I am concerned.

FLASH AT OWN RISK, i take no responsibility if your device is not working afterwards, as I'm a n00b and not a developer.
How to flash:
1. download zip file
2. rename to PG09IMG.zip
3. put file on sdcard root folder
4. boot into recovery
5. when asked to update use the VOL + for YES and VOL - for NO
6. once complete device will reboot and device will be updated
- Feel free to use and abuse ROM as as you feel like it
Good Luck and Enjoy!

This is just a new version of the ROM from ROGERS so that means it still has bloat ware on it not from AT&T but from ROGERS so IMHO i wouldn't bother.
i put it up here so maybe some dev can take it apart and make some thing useful out of it.
PS< this ROM can be flashed on a NON-ROOTED jetstream as it is a official ROM, just not sure you'd want to if you're not with ROGERS.
Good Luck!

ok, maybe it still has bloatware, but i downloaded the manual from htc, and it looks like it has more programs that's useful, like wi-fi hotspot, and it has htc navigation, if it's like htc locations, then it has offline maps

First i put the downloaded file on a external sd card, renamed it to PG09IMG.zip, booted into recovery, on the screen i saw a column moving, checking the file.
after a while when it was done, i selected the recovery menu, i got i icon with a phone and a exclamation mark, and after a while it rebooted.
Then i tried to flash it throu fastboot,
in fastboot mode, i typed:
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PG09IMG.zip
after some checking i got FAILED (remote: 42 custom id check fail)
so i assume that there is some check if i have a jetstream from at&t or rogers.

not 100% sure but do you have S-OFF?
also another thing i noticed different is how it reacted to your jetstream, on mine, i copied the ROM to the ext sd card in the root folder and then i booted into recovery it did a whole bunch of checks and then it asked me if i wanted to upgrade or not. So not sure why you had to go into the recovery menu. maybe try having your jetstream on fastboot and try it again.
Hope it works! Good Luck!

i don't have s-off
when i had the rom on my ext sd card it did the checks like it did on your's but i didn't get the update prompt, i even tried to use a gold card.
so i don't think at&t wants us to update the rom, i think i'll have to wait till we get unlocked bootloader or when we get root.
Your jetstream is at&t so you can't flash rogers rom
I have done all the above mention methods and by using goldcard.

Okay, I had this problem yesterday after I relocked the Amaze using Hasoon2000's HTC Amaze 4G All-in-one kit. Earlier in the day, I had used HTCDev to unlock the bootloader and I still had the unlock file in my e-mail. So I followed these steps to get it unlocked again.
Step 1: Connect your HTC Amaze while it is in Fastboot
Step 2: Go back to the e-mail from HTC Dev and download the "Unlock_code.bin" file and place it in the data folder "Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_XDA_V3.0\Data". Download here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493905 (download "Download Hasoon2000's Amaze All-In-One Toolkit v3.0 XDA (Lite Version)" from the site) - and then extract itr
Step 3: Launch the Amaze3.0.exe application
Step 4: Select "5. Unlock bootloader" and then click Go
Step 5: Then follow the instructions on the device.
You should be all set. It worked for me.

This is why people should know what they're doing before they do it... AND understand what it is they know that they are doing. Good luck... I'm sure someone will want that unnamed phone you are offering to ship bad enough

if you attempted to try the wire trick and weren't successful then you should keep trying until you get it. Charge your phone or if it won't charge get another battery or external charger, boot in hboot then fastboot, connect your phone to your computer and keep trying until you get it.
Did you try the ruu file? ph85img? the latest ics one

was just a LG Marquee and i found another amaze on craigslist with no bat for 150
just have to ship it off to tmobile.
If your bootloader is locked (or relocked) download the latest PH85IMG.zip file on yer SD, then power off (pull the battery) and and hold volume down and power until you get the hboot screen, then press vol+ (i think) to flash the image, sit back and wait, then hit power when prompted and restart to ICS. Now all you have to is unlock again and get the ICS version of the S-OFF files and try again, and again, and again until you get it.
here's a fast link the the file you need: http://d-h.st/z70

I'm sorry if that didn't work. Did you try pulling the battery out and go into fastboot to flash a recovery? I'm just curious how yours failed to start back up again.
I bought a HTC One X+ dev phone off craigslist a few days ago, been tinkering with it and seem to be stuck at the moment. (I think) it is an AT&T OneX+, although the cid is CWS_001 (See pic below) which is a cid from a one X I believe.
When I bought it had cwm recovery on it. I tried flashing TW and various stock recoveries I found around the forums, and none of them will work. When I try to enter any of them, it kicks into a boot-loop. Back to cwm, which works fine.
Anyways, where my real problems started was when I went to install Elegancia. I loaded the Elegancia.zip on the phone, and went into fastboot. I realized I had locked the bootloader in my earlier fiddling around, so I went ahead and unlocked with the file from htc. I then flashed the boot.img from elegancia, and went into recovery. (like an idiot) I did not realize that unlocking the bootloader wipes the phone.. so I lost my nandroid backup and the elegancia.zip from the phone's storage. Also the phone won't boot up, as it has the wrong boot.img file on it.
I tried several boot.img files I found around the forums, and none will get me into Android. I have also been trying RUU, but it hangs every time on "sending files" Tried several times letting it sit for one hour+.
So, I have fastboot and cwm recovery working, but can't get ruu or adb to work. I am realizing this phone may be a bit non-typical, and some of the "stock items" may not work on it.
Any ideas?

You don't need to unlock your boot loader with s-off..
A CID is a carrier identification number set so that you can only flash their approved software updates
To change it then just run fastboot oem writecid 11111111
Try running fastboot erase cache and see if it will boot into recovery
If it won't then you need to run an ruu
If you know how, try to get that hboot off by using dd, it seems to have extra option since its a pre production hboot
If not then don't worry
To run an ruu you need to be locked
Run fastboot oem lock to relock the phone
Then run the ruu.exe while you're in fastboot and it will work

Or you can just sideload the ROM....

Do you think this is why ruu hasn't been working? Would changing the cid to HTC_001 make it work?

What is dd? Do you mean "get it off" as in upgrade it, or copy the file elsewhere?

This is exactly what I tried yesterday, several times. Locked bootloader, run ruu, it does a thing or two, and then hangs on the "sending files" screen.
The ruu I am using is RUU_EVITARE_UL_JB_45_Cingular_US_1.15.502.9_Radio_1.09.55.17_18.20.95.55L_release_290329_signed

I have been unable to get sideload or adb to work. Sideload requires adb to be functioning right? Fastboot works fine, I have tried several different drivers, not sure what the problem is.

Ok I have adb working now, at least my devices shows up when I "adb devices"
However, when I try "adb sideload Elegancia.zip" I get this error:
* failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' *
I am using the latest cwm recovery for onex+
I can't get team win recovery to load.. phone just reboots when I flash it. I am clearing cache before and after, still no dice there.
Also the ruu appears to have updated my hboot to 1.3x. The phone will load all the way to the beats audio screen now, so I suppose that is progress

I am assuming you selected sideload from the CWM menu before running the command?
Resolved! I just kept running ruu... 8th time it finally finished and I am up and running.
Hurray! Now to break it again
So I'm a real noob to rooting, so please be patient. My wife dropped her phone in the washing machine without noticing, and it went through a whole cycle. Long story story, her HTC EVO 3d is dead, and had to buy used one off ebay. Just got it yesterday, it's been rooted with stock 2.3.4 rom. She was never a fan of this, so I looked into getting her a custom ICS rom. Already installed was the Revolutionary CWM recovery from the previous owner. How this differs from regular CWM, I'm not sure. I went ahead and download ROM manager and assumed I flashed the recovery to regular CWM. I then proceeded to reboot with the power and vol down buttons, and was searching the recovery menus again, and I noticed Revolutionary CWM was still on the phone. Then I somehow accidentally installed a custom rom I downloaded on the sd card, into the recovery menu. Well now the phone doesn't go past the HTC logo and I'm at a loss. Any help or am I doomed?
First thing you need to do is pull out the battery, put it back in and hold power+vol down button.
should get you into bootloader. Tell us what it says there. like s-on/off hboot version etc. you probably should be able to access recovery from there as well
How to fix recovery
Im not such an expert on android, rooting etc but that knowlegde I have ill share
As far as I know, I may be wrong, the HBoot version you have wont make a difference,
Try -
- take battery out
- replace battery and hold volume up rfirst and then press and hold power (boots in hboot after +/- 3 seconds)
- now use power, and volume buttons, boot into fafstboot(should just be power button)
- plug usb cable in computer and connect phone
- if you have fastboot, navigate to the exe (fastboot.exe) else just google fastboot download
- google your choice of recovery, 4 ext (i prefer) or cwm,etc its a zip file(extract the recovery.img file) or just a plain recovery.img file
- place this recovery.img file in the exact diractory as fastboot
- now make sure your phone says FASTBOOT USB, ,if it doesnt, check that ur phone is connected, try different usb ports or other cables
- press windows key and 'r' @ the same time, then run cmd
- navigate to fastboot directory
- type " fastboot devices" to check if cmd picks up ur phone , result should be a serial num- mine eg would look like (HN225NM5698)
- then if it did pick up device...
- type " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img " flashes ur custoom recovery u downloaded to ur phone
- now to boot into recovery type " fastboot boot recovery.img " OR to reboot type " fastboot reboot " phone reboots
IF ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS DID NOT SOLVE PROBLEM
try, if possilbe, booting into OS, download ROM manager and flash CWM recovery through that, if that doesnt work
try running a RUU, (remember to change ur CID to match RUU) and lock ur bootloader
if all else fails, follow my post @ ask team derp ur q pg.550, that might help:good:

@OP
If you want a completely up to date phone just use the latest RUU. It will update everything to the latest.
Then if root is not important leave it. And if you want root then just flash a recovery and then superuser zip.
EDIT : I see you edited it yourself.

Awesome, I will look into this guide. Should I do the guide step by step or just the wire trick for s-off?
@EM|NEM
Oops My Bad..
How can i forget that i had hboot 1.5 and wasnt able to use revolutionary so i did unknownforce's bricking method.
Thanks.
the wire-trick requires stock rom although some people have managed to get it to work with custom roms. you'll probably need to run the RUU to get back to stock so its best if you follow all the steps.

NO WAIT! Why do you want to go the harder way when you already have hboot 1.50, which can be s-offed without wiretrick !
Go to revolutionary.io and set your 3d free.
Dont run the ICS RUU , just run the 2.08 gingerbread ruu again and use revolutionary.

Ok, so because it's my wife's phone, and she could care less if it's rooted or not, what is my best option here? All she'd like is stock ICS, like on her last non-rooted stock Evo 3D. Would it be best to flash ICS ruu and call it done? Is this the easiet way to get it back to basic ICS as OTA updates won't work?

Yes sir! OTAs will work after clean RUU flash. And if you ever want to s-off or just unlock through htcdev, you can always do that later.

Perfect. Makes sense.
So I tried flashing ruu but cannot because pc cannot recognize phone, as I can't get it to go past htc logo as it just hangs there. It's basically sitting in a Charge Only mode. I'm only able to access bootloader screen. Sooooo, next option would be to place RUU on sd card and install from there, correct? Does ruu need to be zip file in order to flash in recovery screen? Or can I still use the exe file that's sitting on my desktop?
Boot into boot loader and select fastboot and connect phone to pc ...phone should show fastboot usb.then run the RUU and let it complete the process . It's not necessary to boot into android if you are in fastboot mode.
EDIT : oh sorry I forgot, that you will have to relock the boot loader before using RUU using "fastboot oem lock" command

So, here's my issue, I can see FASTBOOT USB show up no problem in bootloader, but my problem is, my pc won't recognize my phone through usb cable. My phone doesn't show up in windows explorer. Before, I could just change the USB from "charge only" to "Disk Drive" and my pc would list my sd card at Drive E. That's my issue, if pc can't see phone, I can't relock bootloader and can't run ruu. Am I missing a step here?

I don't have HTC sync and I installed the htc drivers. No bueno.
Only way I can get my pc to recognize phone is if I go into recovery and "Mount USB Storage" - this is the only way File Exporer pops up my sd card.
