Hi
I tried to upgrade from Gingerbread to ICS by following this guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849744
I downloaded all the nessesary files and copied those to the sdcard. (I do not have a microCard)
I rebooted into recovery and chose wipe data/ and /cache.
The guide then tells to install the zip-file from sdcard.
But no file could be found, failed to mount SDcard it says in yellow text.
Rebooted, now I'm stuck in a bootloop. Can't even come into revocery or AP fastmode.
Please help.
I'm as you can tell a complete newbie in this.
Flash this with RSD lite

Thanks for the quick answer.
However I tried that file but RSD told me that my phone was not in AP Fastboot Mode.
RSD could open and parse the XML-file and RSD showed all the info from the ZIP-file.
How do I get into AP Fastboot mode, holding Vol Up and Vol Down and Power does not seem to work.
Am I doing something wrong here?

SOLVED - Endless loop - No bootmenu
Hi
This is now solved.
It came down to that I didn't press the correct combination to access the Boot Mode Selection menu.
Here are the correct combination for future reference, it may help someone.
How to Get into “Bootloader/Boot Mode Selection Mode”
You can hold down Volume Down, Volume Up, and Power button together until your phone resets, then let go of Power button then hold down Power button again. This is useful for entering the bootloader mode where you can get into various system menus like fastboot, SBF flash, stock recovery, and more.

You can turn off the phone by pressing simultaneously

Then yuo can think about what i can to do next ;-)

My phone is in boot loop right now and when I hit power and vol down, my phone with continually vibrate for about 5 seconds and then the screen goes out... but then it just boots up again
You can try push volume down button (and keep it pressed down)
at the same moment that screen goes out, maybe you can reach
AP Fastboot-mode in this way?
Well I can get to the menu for AP Fastboot
But im at work.. i dont have the file or RSDLight here at work.
But I can get to the recovery and it gives me the option for "factory reset" or "apply update from SDcard".
If I have a backup from bootstrap, can I use that file under the "apply update from SDcard" option?
EDIT: No you cant apply from SD (a recovery)
I think that yuo can't use backup from bootstrap via Motorolas recovery...
Maybe only way is install correct OFFICIAL Motorola ROM via AP fastboot.

Here is also good RSD alternative for flashing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21575589&postcount=1
you close but it goes against what he just said. Once ur device powers.of press the volume keys then hold the power button ...it'll put u in recovery. You then need to scroll down twice I think to fast boot and press the up key to select....
You can only go down in this recovery. When you press up it selects. You will then need to follow a.vid on YouTube called how to restore Droid RAZR

I tried flashing a team for artic and now i'm stuck in a boot loop, how do I get to recovery?
If you turn off the phone, (Volume Down and Power, you should see the screen glitch). Then hold down both volume buttons while it's off and press the power button. That will take you to the recovery console.
Navigation note: You can only scroll down, pressing the vol+ key will be the same as hitting enter.
From this screen you can fastboot, recover, etc.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
IM sorted
I sorted out the problem by following

which roms should I use for fastboot? I have a rogers one, brazil?
Dont you have a backup?
You can try the stock brazil rom.

I update my droid razr XT912 to the leaked JB update from ICS. After I did that I accuired root for it and installed safestrap 3.11 and made a back up. I messed up my stock rom so I tried to restore the back up of the stock jb. It didn't work so I started too look on how to restore it back to stock since almost nothing worked. You can't revert back to ics and you can't RSD flash back to it since there is no Jelly bean SBF file. So I found a way to get it back.
I have to thank the people for providing the software on these forms.
If you can get on to the AP FASTBOOT screen then it's possible to flash back to jelly bean. even if you can't get it to the boot animation. as long you can get to AP FASTBOOT.
What you need.
Droid RAZR Utility 1.82 (use google to find, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links.)
The jellybean leaked file save it onto the phone sd card
Install drivers that comes with Droid Razr Utility 1.82
Instructions
Make sure your phone is completely off. if not push and hold the POWER, VOL UP, VOL DOWN at the same time. You should be in a screen called Boot Mode Selection Menu. When you are in the screen use the VOL DOWN to highlight the AP FASTBOOT, Press VOL UP to enter that mode.
Once you are in that mode, Open Droid Razr Utility 1.82 and click on the icon that says DroidRAZRUtility and let it load. When you get to a DOS like screen with yellow words that says(PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE...) at the bottom, Press any key. Now that your phone is still in AP FASTBOOT connect your phone to your pc via usb.
You will have a screen that has a list, you should see on the top
1 Fastboot Restore 6.16.211 <ICS 4.0.4 Official OTA Software>
Press 1 and press enter and follow the instructions on the utility. You should get one error after the system install. But it should continue to the end. It will boot to the M screen and then an ANDROID updating, After it is done it will boot back to the M screen and then a complete black screen. since your on the JB Kernel it won't boot the ICS.
Press and hold POWER, VOL UP, VOL DOWN the screen should flicker and press it press and hold again, it should go back to the Boot Menu, Use you VOL DOWN to hughlight RECOVERY and VOL UP to enter that menu.
You should come to a screen with an Android on his back with a triangle. Press VOL UP and VOL DOWN at the same time until you get to another screen that says (Android system recovery)
Use the VOL DOWN and highlight the (apply update from external storage) and push the POWER button to enter another screen.
Use VOL DOWN to highlight the JB LEAKED FILE that you downloaded and press POWER button.
It should do a VERIFICATION and then starting install the update. After its done it should reboot or you would have to reboot it. Then it should boot normal in working condition.
If you have any problems just ask. And I will try to help as much as possible. And thank you for reading this.

So i had CM 9 on this photon for a while.
I wanted to revert to stock to use bluetooth, 4g, etc...
So i followed these directions:
Return to Stock/Relocking via FullSBF flash
Factory reset phone Menu/Settings/Privacy/Factory Data Reset DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
Start RSD Lite on your computer
Reboot phone into RSD mode: VOL down/Power. Use VOL down to scroll though options til you see "RSD" then VOL up to enable.
Connect phone to computer.
From RSD Lite, flash 1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf
*RSD lite has a known bug where it will give a "failed" error during the final "rebooting phone" phase. IGNORE THIS ERROR AND MANUALLY REBOOT PHONE
Close RSD Lite and disconnect phone.
Reboot phone
except i flashed a newer sbf called 1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_7-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf
and then RSD told me to manually reboot my phone so i unplugged it and rebooted manually holding power button
and now i get a Motorola logo that will pulse and then a Sprint Now splash screen and then it goes black and re-loops....
anyone have any ideas? im so nervous right now.... I can also get back into RSD mode by holding power and volume up and down....

okay so i fuxed wit it sum more, and held down the power button and VOL down button on boot, it suprisingly got my into android recovery and from there i was able to format wipe and wipe cache, then reboot again. phone was stuck in Sprint Now screen for longer than usual, however it did eventually boot to stock and contacted network and updated PRL, etc.
