My Amaze is rooted and when I try to check in on Latitude, have tried with check in automatically checked and unchecked, it fails check in and says try again later. I have tried with Wifi on and off, and no difference. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I cleared the Google Maps cache, if that's what you were referring to, bu that didn't help.
What about cache and dalvik in your recovery tried clearing? Last I could think of reflash rom. But when you reflash don't wipe anything except for cache and dalvik. If all else fails, Start from scratch?

Data Wiped Failed me during ODIN reboot, now I'm stuck, help.
That's a bit vague. What kind of wipe was it? Dalvik cache? DATA partition? Factory reset?

No, after ODIN finished it goes through the formating of all of your system, data, etc, yet it reached my Data and said DATA WIPE FAILED, and i already i tried ODINing back...

I'm sure someone else can answer this better, but I think "Android is upgrading" is shown when Android is rebuilding the Dalvik cache.
This shouldn't happen if you don't wipe dalvik cache before flashing new stuff.
I'm not sure what the consequences of not wiping dalvik cache are...

Thanks for reply... I didn't wipe it those mods wiped it by itself... But after a factory reset problem will be solved but I don't want to restore everything back again... Thts why I'm not wiping Lol

The Android is upgrading message is normal. Just ignore it. It has nothing to do with a factory reset.
If you can find an app that allows you to wipe the dalvik cache then do that. Your phone will rebuild the dalvik cache on reboot and you might find that the upgrading message disappears (it worked for me when I was experiencing this issue a while back).
Andromizer has a dalvik cache wiping facility - you might need root access though.

I keep reading people suggesting wiping multiple times before flashing a different ROM. Could I get a few people to sound off on the subject? I don't see why you would need to but I am in no way an expert and am hoping to learn something from these responses. Thanks!

I've heard both sides of the issue. Some state that you should do it just to make sure to get everything cleaned out in case something was missed the first time. I've also heard that you shouldn't do it, as it puts unnecessary formats on your memory and isn't really needed. I don't wipe multiple times and I don't run into issues.

I don't multiple wipe. But I do wipe multiple areas - system, cache and dalvik every time. Works fine for me.

"Full" wipes help with FC and random reboot issues between ROMs. They're not always required, but they do help to ensure "clean" installs and minimal issues when switching ROMs.

multiple wipes was only necessary for older cwm recovery. *it had a bug and wouldnt wipe properly*
newer cwm and twrp2 you have no need to wipe more then once but if it makes you feel better then go ahead

I found this to make a big difference. When flashing a new rom, make sure you wipe the system before flashing (never used to do this, now I'm finding my fresh installs less buggy). If doing a dirty flash, wipe cache, Dalvik and fix Permissions after.

If you do a factory reset... That wipes the dalvik cache, as that resides on the data partition. That also wipes the cache partition as well.
And any dev worth flashing a Rom from should have it format /system in the script.
All i have done for ages is factory reset and flash.
So, I need to wipe my phone, but am going to keep it rooted with the d3rp ROM still on it. I was wondering if I should factory reset or upgrade the ROM.

Alright so I'm currently running ViperDna. Well I tried to flash CM 10.1 and it just sits at the boot up animation and never actually loads up. So I tried flashing the stock Rom and same thing. Using TWRP. Any ideas as to what is going on?

Yea I am s-off. Used moonshine to do it. And I had flashed roms before and they worked. I have even flashed cm 10 on e but restored to my viper backup because I couldn't figure out how to get gapps on CM and I ended up needing to use my phone so had to go back

Did you factory reset, wipe cache, system, and dalvik cache and then flash it? Just don't wipe data in twrp or it will wipe your SD card.
