Hello,
Hope this is correct forum for this question...
In my company we are starting one project that will (among other) include e.g. 50+ android mobile devices on the field...
So I need to find windows 7 desktop software for managing all of this devices at one place...
To have statuses, check location, lock apps, wipe etc - all regular stuff when administrating device...
Is there such software??

My company uses Excel spreadsheets with custom Visual Basic macros that I have written when we test medical imaging equipment. I would love to use a Tablet for this but Dataviz states "that code type is not supported by handheld platforms, so Documents To Go cannot execute the VB code necessary to use those features. "
Is this an accurate statement? I don't know enough about Android yet to know whether it is correct or if this is perhaps outdated information. The statement was made in June of 2010.
Is Visual Basic totally imcompatible with Android or is there hope that custom macro enabled Excel spreadsheets may work in the semi-near future?
Thank you in advance for any information you give me.

We have tons of Anti-Theft apps in Android market, all of them do more or less the same thing - track and report your lost / stolen phone's location, disable features or lock the phone remotely. All of them are apps running on Android and will not function if the someone manages to flash a new ROM onto the phone.
Is there a possibility to have a real anti-theft software running in our phones? By this it means the software should not be running as an Android app, but may be on a higher level, and it should stay and run all the time irrespective of whatever a stolen phone will possibly undergo. I guess it is nearly impossible to create a software like this, unless and until there is some level of hardware support which can't be easily replaced or tampered with.
Curious to hear from the experts in this section.
I searched the forum for such a question but in vain - Mods, please move/delete this if it has been discussed in some other thread already.

Moving to Q&A
Hello all developers.
i had an idea...maybe some dev wants to comment.
I think this is a problem shared by a lot of android users:
- i have a built in hands free on my car, but ringtone is not transfered to the car system (if i connect a nokia with 10 years old it gets transfered...)
also, for example, i cannot transfer GPS indications to the hands free.
my idea is: maybe it is possible to "say" to the hands free system that we are in a call....in that way GPS instructions can be transfered.....
i am using galaxy SIII and Microsoft Blue & Me car system
regards

Hi, I have built an application using android programming and I want to forward & sharing image from one application to other which was loaded from a remote url. I usually search for many Mobile Development Blogs which fortunately get resolved in such Q&A forums. So again, I am hoping that some of the tech experts in this community can help to figure out my issue.
Hi,
My question is already in the title, but well to be super clear, comprehensive lists, updated regularly and free.
I used to work in IT way back, updating iptables with some of those lists, I would like to test in android with what is available nowadays.
I remember there were many websites that offered comprehensive lists based on different criteria, I am so rusty that I can't find nothing besides some lists hosted in github.
Of course I want to test in my androids.
Also if you have suggestions of some iptables kind of app for rooted devices (actually using VPN no root firewalls)

In the past I used pfsense (a GUI for iptables) and spamhouse blocklists but now it's not free, I found this looking for alternatives www raedts biz/security/recommended-blocklists-for-pfblocker-pfsense/ that are raw IP CIDR lists but looking in it I found a copyright 2003-2020 maybe are not really maintained, anyway these list are used to protect servers, would be good to find something more related to Android.
