Hi Guys
I have tried some of the new JB rom's but went back to ICS. The reason for that was, that all of the JB rom's couldn't play music over A2DP.
Have you guys experienced some JB rom's which don't have that problem?
Hope to here some good feedback.

Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

and after 2 hours booted 3.8 RR JB version..
is it safe to flash ROMs too fast??
I mean back to back??
Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1
and CM10 ROM 2..

I only can say that it worked on RootBox, so in generall it's not a prob with 4.2 cam.
So I think it's just a bug or compatibly prob from samsung release. Over this the 4.2 apps aren't stable at all, too.
So u can choose for urself what u prefer now

Hi,
I'm using the official CM10.1 nightlies and I'm having a problem whereby when I'm listening to music I will get the music randomly stopping and the only way to get it back going is to unlock it and turn it on manually. This happens when using both official kernel and unofficial.
I did have a quick look to find a solution before posting here but didn't have much success.
Thanks for your help guys,
Jon
Sorry for the bump. I did mention this in the official nightlies thread but it was deleted when the thread was "cleaned up". Thanks for any help

I have this with stock jb 4.1.2 using Poweramp also.
I've had this issue with my I9100 since stock GB and a quick googling shows people having it even before that so I doubt it's a CM/I9300 specific problem.
It happens to me with any audio player, the main ones being Google Play Music, Deezer, and BeyondPod.
.....same issues here, on stock and also neatROM with Siyah Kernel, regular Googling has not returned an answer to fix (yet!).
.........anyone got any updates?
Same issue here. But only on CM10.1, any other ROM does NOT have this issue. Only official cm10.1. As for fixing it, wait for a update from the cm team

....aha, that is interesting that you only suffer issue on CM10.1 and not other ROMs. Nearly all the other threads I can find on the net say the issue is not ROM dependant.
If you do get an update that solves the issue from the CM Team maybe you could post back on this thread please, cheers

...I installed siyah kernel to dual boot / ROM my phone with CM10.1 on second ROM. I do NOT get the pause issues on the CM10.1 ROM with only poweramp installed. Therefore thinking it may be due to an app?
Take a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2106401 to see if you have any of the correlating apps installed that *may* be causing the pause issue?
Hey,
I have a big problem:
I have brought the Galaxy S3 i9300 one week ago. I really don't like the stock rom so I rooted and flashed cm10.1. I really like stock vanilla Android. Everything works really smooth and stable. But when I try to launch the camera is appears this error: Camera error and under this: Can't connect to the camera. (Look at Attachments) I really need a camera and this is just
First I was thinking it was Cm but then I flashed other Roms (Supernexus, Paranoid, ...) and everytime the same. Only in Xperian Ze and Omega Rom the camera works but on those roms its the stock camera. I also tried to install a third party cam.app.
So now I don't know what to do. Is this only on my S3 or is it on someone elses.
And is there any way so flash the stock camera app or to fix this bug.
This is a well known problem.
I would recommend you start here first:

That's very odd.
The post contains pretty much all known camera firmwares for SGS3!
If I was you I would try and google "i9300 camera firmware XXYYNN" with the code you have and see if anybody else got the same.

i9300 camera is a nightmare
I've run various custom roms on my original Galaxy S, an SII and now an SIII and I have never had as much frustration with any of them as I have had with the S3 camera. Like the original poster, I prefer AOSP over Samsung firmware. Even if you replace touchwiz with a different launcher it seems clunkier and less responsive than a pure Google rom. AOKP is my favourite, it's just got all my favourite features. But I've come to the conclusion that Samsung know best how to drive Samsung firmware. As much as I love AOKP when they declare a rom version "stable" or a "milestone" this is the status of the rom before it is grafted onto specific devices, which means hardware and driver issues can still arise.
All of which means if you want all your hardware to work go for a rom built on Samsung firmware. Omega rom is pretty good, but not perfect. It always starts out good for me and then gets laggy. And then I want to try AOKP again. And I do. And the camera is still crud... and so the infinite loop begins again.
use camera jb+
Camera failed
camera not working
error : camera failed
thnaks all :good:
