First off I know I shouldn't have done this before I was sure what I was doing, but I have done it.
I have used chainfires mobile odin pro to flash siyah's latest kernel to my rooted s3. i put the .tar on external sd. Opened mobile odin, opened file, and pressed flash. It said it's dangerous, I pressed continue and the phone immediatly rebooted, and is now stuck on boot loop.
I had never updated the phone from when it first came out, I just rooted and kept stock rom.
Any help much appreciated,
Thanks in advance.
Try to boot into download mode if this works you can flash a stock or custom Rom and kernel through Odin ans it should fix your problem.
Or try to boot into recovery and flash a custom Rom, either way should fix the bootloop.

As a precaution I'm going to ask if you have the American or international model.

Currently in download mode, going to try to install the latest kernel. Do you think that should work, or should I install custom rom?

I would say you just need to flash the kernel if that's all you changed, the Rom should be fine.

Did you choose kernel>open file>flash?
I have an s2.I want to avoid making a nandroid backup. So, if the flashing of a custom rom fails or after, flashing, the phone gets stuck at the boot logo, can i just flash the stock rom directly via odin? Will it harm the phone? Can the phone even go to download mode if its stuck at the boot logo ?

hello,
you could have asked this question in your previous thread instead of creating a new one.
To answer your questions:
1. Yes
# If you follow the flashing instructions in the OP, your phone should not stuck at the boot logo.
First try to perform a factory data reset and reboot again before flashing via Odin
2. No
3. The phone should be able to enter download mode.

I recenlty installed CM10 latest and all worked fine . Today i decided to change the Kernel . I picked SiyahKernel S3 v1.7b6 but because i wasnt patient i installed the kernel not for i9300 model ...but for i900 galasy s .
I know that was a stupid mistake . Is their any change to bring my phone to life again .
Now it only stacks at Logo : Samsung Galaxy s3 i9300 ...and nothing after that .................
Any help will be valuable.
Thanks a lot
Try flash the correct kernel again. If it still stuck, then factory reset and reflash whole rom again.

And thanks for for help !!!!!
You don't need the cm logo to show up when trying to get into download mode.
Press down home and power button. Connect to odin via usb, and flash the tar siyah kernel.

If you have got a backup of your stock rom you can install it via CWM recovery. In case if you do not see t, install CWM recovery via Odin and then install backup/KOR or any other custom rom. I believe it will work.

Well that's hard to get into recovery and download mode. I suggest using a USB jig to get into download mode and make the adjustments from there. You need to factory reset and delete cache from your phone to fix the bootloop issue in the recovery. You need to the flash a kernel newer than the current one e.g (Pedestre's apolo kernel newer than the 4.14 release like the 7.1 release ). Then your phone should reboot and you will notice it won't boot into the system, instead it should boot into the recovery where you should factory reset, wipe cache, then install the correct kernel (apolo kernel 4.14). So make sure to download one kernel for odin, and one kernel to put into your phones storage.
Thanks for reply.
I solve the issue i opened the screws and clean the device with petrol and after that home button working. I reboot in recovery and wipe data and cache and phone boot up.
Now i want to flash a cwm recovery which one is suitable for stock jb 4.1.2 firmware. Thanks

You should try installing a kernel which comes with cwm like dorimanx 8.43.
