Is there a way to create a "my maps" shortcut on the homescreen?
Thanks in advance.

?
You mean a shortcut to an app... just drag and drop.

You can long press on homescreen, choose shortcuts, then select directions/navigation and put an address in....I think that's what you might be looking to do.

Yeah, I was doing that for a while, but would rather just be able to select a shortcut to the list of the "My Places" part of the maps app. Can't find it yet and any cut doesn't have anything for it. I figure there's no way to do it.

Do you mean a shortcut to a specific destination? And navigate to it? That is possible

[Q] App scrolling

Whenever one clicks on the show all apps icon (bottom left button next to phone) and all the apps are up, is there any way to change the way you scroll through the apps without it being sectioned in grid mode?
In the og evo I know one could scroll and stop at any given point but with the new software it seems like you have to go by sections.

While looking at the app drawer, hit menu and choose list mode is your only other option in sense. It scrolls smooth then at least

How to remove the stock messaging icon...

Is there anyway to remove the stock messaging icon? I use SMS Pro for texting and would like to replace it with the SMS Pro icon. Is this possible?
Hint! Press settings inside the app.

You can change the dock icons by going into the app drawer, press menu, view type, and select customizable grid. Then you can drag which ever app you want to replace the stock app. I then switch it back to alphabetical grid, but that isn't necessary

All stock apps cannot be uninstalled unless you root the phone.

Huh? I've done that and see no option to remove the stock icon, unless I am overlooking it. Could I get another hint?

Be careful ... uninstalling stock apps can have unintended consequences and issues. Its best to hide them in a folder, or ignore them.

Thanks for all the help. I didn't uninstall the stock SMS program, just replaced the icon with the SMS pro icon.

How to change main icons?

Is there a way to change the icons on the bottom of the phone? The ones right above the capacitive buttons.

You should be able to hold and drag any icon out of the the app drawer right on them.
Edit:maybe not

If you just want to change out the apps, open your app drawer, hit the menu button and select edit. From there it's just drag and drop.
If you want to change the actual icon of the existing app, then you need to use something like APKtool to decompile, edit and recompile the app.

Not sure about the stock launcher but if you change launchers most have way you can swap what's there or replace the image. I usually clear them out and use desktop Visualizer to change them. Drag and drop

I searched for this too. Using Titanium Backup you can "Freeze" the app labeled "Power" under Backup/Restore. This will get rid of the notification button, but will also remove the "Battery" list in your android settings. I just downloaded a different battery app or widget to replace it.
