never mind guys.. i found the reason of brick and solution too on the below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598160

You can try the link as given by xpneov..
But for further note, never do the OTA update with the unlocked bootloader device! It will ultimately brick your phone!

That's not true. It depends on the way how you unlocked your bootloader.
Via test point you can use any update method.
Via official Sony you are limited.

Considering how he bricked his device i.e by doing the OTA update, it shows that he might have his unlocked his phone's bootloader via the official method!

Some people reported bricked phones after doing OTA on unofficially unlocked BLs using test point.
Not sure if that was just few cases or few peoples made mistake, but just to be safe, its not recommended doing OTAs on unkocked BLs.

It's the peoples choice to decide doing something or not. Especially on no more original phones you have to be patient.
I personally and other user here statet out that an uodate ota with an unlocked bootloader via test point method is safe.

How to root Xperia neo 2.3.4 safely

Can someone tell me what I need to do to root my Xperia Neo 2.3.4 without getting the battery problem. Already experienced it once.
Sent from my MT15i using XDA App
You will have to unlock the bootloader and then root via a custom kernel.
Are you sure, cause I can't unlock bootloader, sim lock to o2.
Yes.
There is however still this method for bootloader unlocking.

Firmware .62 won't root directly in locked bootloaders!
First downgrade to .42 by flashing the corresponding firmware and then root!
Afterwards do the OTA update!

[Q] Just bought xperia s

Hello there,
I just bought xperia s yesterday
I used arc, but since yesterday I fell in love with xperia s.
Emm.. what I wanna ask is, is it worth to unlock my xperia s and root it?
Cause I know development on xperia s forum isnt so stable yet..
I'm scared I'm going to brick my Xperia S..
And then Im at Indonesia.
Which ftf shud I flash?
Generic world?

I think you can flash central europe as you can remove more apps without root.
I am not sure if it has the asian language. I am currently using Singapore firmware which contains chinese and japanese keyboard.
In my opinion, if you are not planning to use custom ROM, you might as well wait till ICS released for rooting purpose. At that time, there should be a way to root without unlocking bootloader

I'm using German as my primary language
So I think the central europe will work..
Well.. actually I'm planning to use a costum ROM..
But its just a plan.. I haven't see all of the costume ROMs here..
But I think I'll wait till someone made root without unlocking bootloader possible.
Thanks for your answer

Nothing bad cause it is allowed from sony itself
They speak that you will loose the drm key or something like that but I don't know what is useful for.
Don't worry,For warranty reasons you can lock it again.

but u wont get the DRM key again..
as far as i know (if im not mistaken) DRM key is useful for warranty,
if u unlocked ur XS, then you void your warranty..
anyway, ive unlocked my phone and rooted..
so this thread can be locked

Untill now,
root can only be achieved by flashing pre rooted.img via fastboot..
If u want to know wether ur phone is already unlocked or not, try unlocking ur phone via fastboot like what u did.
On the cmd will be written,

You don't need OTA update....you have XDA forum, where you get all updates before OTAs.

DRM keys will be removed after officially unlocking bootloader...losing DRM keys will lost warrenty too

Using unofficial unlock method keeps the DRM keys intact
So you can use TrackID,fb music Like, etc
Also, you can relock the bootloader :
Be it even if you unlocked via OFFICIAL or even UNOFFICIAL way
Hi good thing I saw this thread. Now I'm thinking if I'm going to unlock my bootloader, any link how can I put the DRM Keys back? Or is it impossible? Also, aside from I won't receive OTA Update, won't be able to use TrackID (what else if ever?), losing warranty, what else are the disadvantage? And when JB comes, is it still possible to update if my phone is rooted (Bootloader Unlocked/Kernel Different) and without DRM Keys? Or I'll be able to have it again?
AW: [Q] What is DRM keys
You can't get back your DRM keys once you unlocked officially your phone, they are lost! Unlock the boot loader via test point and you will keep your DRM.
Unlocking the boot loader doesn't result in losing warranty. Sony describes you might loose it and not you will lose it.
Gesendet von meinem Galaxy Nexus mit Tapatalk 2
However to add to motorazrv3
You simply don't unlock bl and use stock Rom and kernel
You use custom Rom n kernels and thus,Sony takes no warranty about that incase things go topsyturvy while you run that kernel or Rom

Oh thanks. What's test point by the way? And lastly, is DRM Keys are big deal? If I don't buy any music at all so far. Other than that, what's the use of DRM Keys?

test point in unofficial method to unlock bootloader....
loosing DRM keys means u are loosing warranty... and by test point method bootloader is unlocked but DRM keys are preserved and left untouched
DRM keys is used to recognise music using track id and other fb likes,fb music likes and other sony's apps dont work...
rest everything works...
By the way DRM keys are not a big deal

[Q] How can I either root my neo 2.3.4 .62//downgrade to .42?

OK, I've used the search bar a freackin' hundred and fifty six times, I've looked up Sony's developer's site, and I've googled more than Google CEO, but for three hours I'm yet to find the solution.
I bought an xperia NEO today, and I've unlocked the bootloader. My firmware thingy (which I'm not sure what it really is) is .62 . So the DoomLord's root method doesn't work. I would really appriciate either a downgrade method (with a FULL tut) or a root solution.
I know I'm not the only one out there with this problem. Please help.

Your bootloader is unlocked so why not flash a custom kernel that comes pre rooted. You get cwm integrated in the kernel too.
Take a look at custom kernels.

I don't want to run ICS and your alliance doesn't have GB. If there's absolutly no other option, I'll try this.
Aliance has got a gb kernel too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468043
You can try advanced stock kernel, kernel 9 to 10 for gb.
Soo, is my ROM going to stay as it is if I flash the kernel? Because I just bought the phone, and I want to explore it a little bit before experimenting other ROM/Kernels.
Btw thanked :good:
Yes your rom will be in same..but you will have super user app on it...good luck
Thank you all, found the answer
