After look the web page i find this:
1,In xperia tablet AC adapter page
yeap,usb charge is possible,but the AC adapter,out put is 5V 1.5A,(old one is10.5v 2.9A),the battery is 6000mAH(old is 5000).
So the time of charge is 4x long then old?

It would be so stupid if Sony allows the Sony Xperia Tablet S to be rootable and the Sony Tablet S rendered unrootable

how much?
Is there anything special about this cable?
Where is the point of buying "official cable" ? There is no way that cable can damage Your phone. "official" cable also dont give better video quality, this is digital signal, You can see the image or not, simple as that. Anyways, there is no "Xperia S" official hdmi cable, there is only Sony Ericsson certified one, which i got with my phone. Search for : IM820 .
there is no need to buy the original one ... you can use a cable with this specification:
microHDMI (Typ D) XPERIA S Side <--------> HDMI (Type A) TV, Beamer ... Side
Klassification HDMI 1.2a
Just look at ebay. I bought one for only 3 dollars (incl. shipping)

Hello could somebody please test if the xperia tablet suports hdmi cec an wich resolution to get on the tv ?
thanks
yes by resolution 720p not more
Thx for your answer , 720 p not more thats a mess the last xperia smartphones supports 1080p
So playback on TV via HDMI is super but unfortunately it is not higher than 720p and 1080p I would prefer - perhaps with an update to JB wait times possible. Dual screen is also possible to not You can also stream pictures to your TV then it is also possible to 1080p via an adapter cable but not But the USB host and HDMI cables are currently Lowered price ... What is the bad one, the USB host cable to HDMI Adapteranschließen is not supported ... but it is only possible through the HDMI in addition to connect the charging cable so you do not run out of juice
What are you using to get HDMI out on the Tablet S? I've read several threads that say that the Tablet S does not support MHL adapters for HDMI out.

The discussion is about the Xperia Tablet S, which is capable of HDMI output, not the Sony Tablet S, which is not.

So it is... Sony Tablet S, Sony Xperia Tablet S... (not to mention the Sony Xperia S phone) not confusing to the consumer at all... Thanks, Sony!

Hi thanks for your reply. But what I was wondering if there is something like the smart dock for the note 2 with USB and HDMI all in one. The connection on the smart dock won't fit the ultra becouse it's different. I wish I could just connect it to my ultra but it won't fit. Thanks

There isn't an official one yet but I'm sure they'll make one soon. They're also developing a car holder that uses the magnetic charge port.

I can only hope it happens....
Unless you plug in the MHL cable to the USB port by opening the flap, then set it in the cable, it won't happen. The dock connector is for charging only. No data transfer. Unless, you pair devices by NFC or WiFi... Lets see.

Used with a dock it can be very good. They write it as new, but don't know if it is available yet.

Hi,
I understand that the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is one of the first to have MHL 3.0 (Along with the Z2 Phone) however is there any adapter out at the moment to put this onto to your TV yet?
Is this something that a universal adapter will sort? Is it something I need to wait for Sony to release?
Cheers.

For me, the Samsung MHL does Not Work physically. A third party Adapter From HAMA does Not Work on the Sony, but on the SGS4
I'm Waiting for the Sony MHL to become available now...
I bought this one and it works with my z2 tablet: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/prod...o-mhl-adapter-rf-g1171-rf-g1171/10214468.aspx

So, seeing I get my Z2 tomorrow, also ask if anybody has tried the MHL to HDMI adapters. Seems a limited choice here where I live, so asking for some additional input.
Seems I can get the official Sony IM750 MHL Adapter, however it doesn't mention the Tablet compatibility, only phones.
I bought a cheap mhl v1 cable that works fine. It just crops the bottom of the screen off on the TV http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281294982152
It has to have a micro usb to power it, but most tvs or dvd players have a spare usb port to power the adapter.

Thanks for the link. I suppose it would come down to whether the TV USB would transmit power via USB, but in the worst case, one could carry a USB charger (seeings I have several of those laying around )
All usb ports supply 5v at 0.3amps min as long as the TV etc is on. Even if it's a diagnostic only usb port it's still enough current.
I like to watch movies off my phone on my TV, and I know the sony xperia z2 has a 5 pin port on it.
im looking for a MHL 2.0 cable, so no charging required.
Most MHL 2.0 adapters are for the Samsung 11 pin, so finding a 2.0 cable that doesnt need to be charged to work has been a chore.
anybody have an idea?

I might be wrong but I think your TV needs to natively support MHL to be able use the cables. I found out the hard way!
Sony does sell the DLC-MC10 & DKC-MC20 MHL cables which I bought from my local Sony shop but as my TV doesn't support MHL, I had to buy one of the powered adapters.
I bought one of the Samsung 5 pin ones that were made for the GS2 and it worked fine (on my Z1) when I plug everything in.
If your TV does support MHL, then try finding one of DLC-MC10 cables.
I tried posting a link but as I don't have enough posts, XDA won't let me. I was able to find it on their website though.
