System files cannot be accessed without root
No you can't modify withou root access.

Thanks guys....what i wanted to change is the battery capacity line...it shows 1500 there while the battery is for 1750 mAh....
Is there something wrong or modifying it will help anything ?

Is there a way to increase the in-call volume when using Bluetooth headset? I'm on the latest stock ICS 6.1.A.2.45. Before the Xperia I used a Chinese dual sim phone with Android 2.3.6 and there were a way to access a service menu and change the max values for the different volumes. I searched for something similar, but from what I understand there's no such thing in ICS.I tried different apps like Volume+ etc, but nothing worked. I'm pretty sure that this can be something as simple as changing several values in some file, but i don't know where exactly i can find them From some other threads i saw that this can be done by editing the files in system/etc/audio, but there's no /audio in the Xperia S. Anyone can help here?

Go to Settings > Accessibility and select " Large Text" I assume you updated to ICS already ? And that should work Else,Ill show you how to change font with root

Well. It depend on what you actualy want. Win 8 icons can be puted to statusbar. Win phoen laucnerre can be as default.There is an app for wp contacts. What more. The actualy windwos phoen os cant be proted to xperia family. Sorry. And next time post in Q&A

Hi! I cant find sysmon.cfg in my xperia x performance. ( not in system/etc) I want to modify the file because the dimming screen(thermal throlling) is not acceptable to me. I dont want to change others settings. Just modified some lines to 255 brightness
