Try Battery Monitor Widget [3c]

I prefer not using an app for that
i think it even drains more your battery

And how am I going to know my battery temperature?

You say that as if it is actually important

Use battery monitor widget as recommended above. You can even set alarms to go off of it is over a certain temperature. Don't worry it won't significantly use any battery itself. It only logs what the phone is already monitoring in the background.
As to why it might be important, well prolonged use of the battery at to high of a temperature will dramatically reduce its life span.
Plenty of us live in countries where it could be an issue. For example if I use it as a GPS in the summer on my windscreen it will soon get too hot. It's good to know if I'm running into problems.

The battery monitor says that my battery life is good! Is there a problem with the battery? Shouldn't say very good

[Q] power draw stats

I've seen people say, "my phone was charging at 17mA," or, "my phone was discharging at 10mA."
What are these people using to find these stats? Or are they buried somewhere that I'm not seeing?

Battery monitor app/widget does a pretty good job of reporting those specs. It's free on the play store

Thanks! Trying to search for anything battery-related is almost impossible.
I know there are so many. Just search battery monitor in the store and its the first result battery monitor by 3c

Yes, that's what I use. And the dev is very quick with support if needed.

Best app to locate battery loss?

My phone recently started using more battery than normal. I installed a couple apps over the weekend. I suspect it could be one of those. What app can I use from the market that will pinpoint this for me? Thank you.

try "CPU spy"
i use a widget called battery info. - lots of good info provided in this little widget
Tried CPU spy and it doesn't tell me much or maybe I am not using it properly. If a specific app was draining my battery, is there anything that will pinpoint this?

How to I check my phone or battery's temperature? Is there an app or option for this?

Well i dont know the thermal threshold on the chip, but I'd say anything above 105ish is pushing it.

System tuner has CPU temps available. 101 celcius is do-able for very short periods of time.. My device scales CPU speed at 80 celcius.

134 degrees? That's pretty hot!
Yeah I actually woke up to that, I felt it so hot on my arm lol, I had a battery too hot charging paused notification(it said something like that I was half asleep) , before I even thought to look at the temp and take a screen shot it was cooling down, so it was definitely a lot hotter than that lol.. I'm Gunna try and catch it right away next time...

So bug? Bad hardware? Different charge cable?
This ppst is worrysome. I just dropped 550 on a note 2 and waiting for it to get here. I am a heavy gamer, that is why I choose this phone. For the raw power.

Are you serious? Please define heavy usage.
I barely last about 3 - 4 hours with my "heavy usage "

Well, that pretty heavy usage...
I can do that intentionally by repeatedly backup restore system in recovery, 3d game with all Wi-Fi, GPS, BT, highest brightness...etc
But my daily usage costs me about 250% of battery as I have 3 battery with me...

Ah well overclocked so it uses more battery. Playing games while listening to internet radio on 3g takes a large toll on batteries.. just bought a portable charger to compensate for it
As for the original post, I take it you left it overnight, or haven't used it much for a good few hours. 10-20% drain is normal for a 8hr standby, unless you have battery draining apps (most IM apps, google now, gmapps etc)

Thanks for all the reply.. really helpfull i got a difrent question a really noob 1.. i root my phone.. now how do i remove the pre install apps on my s3?? Do i need a specific apps.. as for the battery issue ny cable already start to act funny it took me 4hrs to get to 81% from 43% gonna change the cable and see if it works.. huuu

One method is to navigate using a file explorer to /system/app and delete apks you don't want. Not the stock one. Use astro or es file explorer. Titanium backup is a very useful tool for backing up apps and app data. Can also be used to uninstall system apps. Both methods require root permission.
As for which apps you can delete, search for safe apps to delete on xda or google and you should come across a thread.

Battery drain on stock

Hello. I have such a problem, namely my battery drains hard :S Using 3 g internet it can't survive more than 5 hours ( I admit that the screen us turned if for maximum 50% of this time... Is it normal??
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
Also on wifi 1 hour is like 20% baterry :S It sucks because even my LG l9 has better battery time with much larger screen
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
Obviousely screen and mediaserver consume most of it.
You were playing a game or watching a video?
By some tests I did a 2.5 hours HD movie on youtube wifi drained 51-56% battery. Screen brightness, adaptive power saving mode, indoors.
My standby drain is around 1% per hour with wifi on.(no data)
So I think it is normal.

try calibrating your battery https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=lv
or reset battery stats manually thru cwm recovery.
