I have bought a Gamma GA-TAB 7N 8GB, the tablet is a Chinese tablet, looks okay, but No SIM card so when i tried to use a USB modem with PPP widget to connect to the internet rather than wifi the tablet show no modem.
After many search on google and from the widget itself, i need to root this tablet.
I have used many rooting methods but no luck.
So, what is the correct step that i must take in order to root this tablet ?
The local company have no technical background or info, so i need to know the origin of the tablet in China, is this possible and how ?

I have a kogan 10" with stock rom on it and I noticed a few people asking for kogan stock roms.
Can I be of any help by posting my stock rom for the dev's to use etc?
I don't know how to do it yet so please could I have a bit of help?
Also I would like to customise my tablet too!

I have successfully managed to root my device but can't get clockwork mod to work.
If it helps anyone I used Cydia Impactor to root my device, it took 30 seconds the downloaded SuperSU and installed it and device successfully rooted.
Please can someone help me with a rom that would work for me.

Worse for me is that my brother went and installed cm9 on it without making any back up = No touchscreen and no method of going back. So if that offer still stands of the stock ROM I will take you up on it.

I just got this archos chefpad and i have rooted the device fine but then i deleted the media server archos app with titanium but now it seems stuck at the welcome screen. I have done a reset but had no luck. So i went on google but cant find that much info on this tab. But i now its a rebrand with a Rockchop 3066 inside.So is there a chance this is the same tab as the familypad 2? Because i cant find any firmware for the chefpad on the archos site but i see 1 for the familypad with the same specs. So hope anyone can help me out with this so i can get my xmas gift working

Bought the chefpad the other day. Tried to root it but did not manage to do that. Could you please explain in detail how you managed to root this device?
To fix yours you probably have to reinstall the stock firmware.
Does anyone know there are custom roms for the chefpad yet? I'd really like to install cyanogenmod.

I installed the Asus OTA first and when I tried to root, it failed. Searching around on Internet, the little info I found, indicates that at the moment of this writing, you can't root with the latest OTA. So if you just purchased the ME70C and intend to root, don't accept the OTA. You might be able to do the OTA afterward without loosing root, if you follow certain procedures (i don't know what, just saw it mentioned somewhere).

Hello, I have followed the instructions in the thread and I keep getting stuck in bootloop. My ME70C has Android 4.3 and Kernel 3.4.43, and I followed these instructions from the original post:
1 - Make sure you are on stock ROM
2 - Download RootZenFone-1.4.5r.apk
3 - Install RootZenFone-1.4.5r.apk
4 - Put your tablet in airplain mode
5 - Open RootZenFone
6 - Start Rooting Process
7 - Wait untill all the process ends (you will be in Demo Mode)
8 - Reboot your tablet

I keep getting stuck at the ASUS boot screen, so I had to factory reset. I have tried twice now with no luck. Any idea what could be going wrong? Thanks in advance.
Also, is it possible to brick my device by doing this? Or will I always be able to factory reset to fix my phone? Just curious, I am new to Android.

Used the intsruction on first page to root. It worked after a while, think i had to unistall drivers and reboot to get it to work
But the boot loader is still locked i think, Is there a way to unlock as i want to backup before i do kitkat upgrade?

Hello,
Does anyone knows how to get off the demo app offline from the tablet?
It is rooted now, but it is still showing the offline icon and is erasing all the apps I installed.
I tried everything. Please help, now that Im root is there any way to erase the process or to perform a factory reset of it?.

I need help rooting an old tablet z that i have. Im trying to root before unlocking the bootloader so i can backup my TA.
Mostly my problem is that all the tutorials/guides i either have broken links or they have something that doesnt work.
I have the wifi only version POLLUX_WINDY. And its running android 5.1.1, with build number 10.7.A.0.228
Is it possible for someone to help me with rooting so i can backup my TA for now?
