Hi, I just got my hero a few days ago.
Previously I had saved some SMS onto my SIM card on a SE handphone.
With the SMSes still in the SIM card, how can I read them from Hero?
Thanks
Open up messages.... press menu button... then settings. Third down the list is "Manage SIM card messages
I could not find the option in handcent sms, but manage to find it in the default message widget.
thanks, it works.
Hello,
is it possible to set the WM5 to store incoming messages on SIM instead of phone memory?
Friends,
All of a sudden all my sms are being saved in SIM only and not to the phone memory. I couldnt find any settings for this and not sure how this happenned.
I do not get any notification when the sms is delivered to my sim except the sim card memory full message.
can any one help in changing the default memory for sms storage. i have searched a lot but couldnt find any.!!!
Is it possible that the full memory space on the phone can not receive messages on the SE xperija X10 Mini Pro?
quite possibly. try checking you memory and delete some sms as well.
OK. ty man
I called my network provider and they said they would see
Now I'll leave that to the memory becomes full again, so I'll see if that will be going back to the same
Need a Phone App Where You Can Set Default SIM for Dual SIM (Samsung phone on Android 13)
When you Google for instructions on how to change default SIM for Calls or SMS, there appears that many Android Phones allow you set the default SIM separately for Calls and for SMS. Unfortunately it appears on at least US models of Samsung phones (at least my S23 Ultra running Android 13) you can just specify a default SIM for everything: calls/SMS/data. I want to use one SIM for data and one SIM for calls and SMS without having to remember to change the SIM in the phone or messaging app right before I make a call or send an SMS.
I've gotten around the SMS issue because my messaging app, Chomp SMS, has a DUAL SIM setting that will override the Android setting and default to whichever SIM you want to use when using Chomp SMS. (Of course this doesn't work for MMS as MMS uses data and it can't override the Android default SIM setting for data also so you can only send MMS using the SIM Android is set to us as default.)
So what I really need is a replacement phone app that has the same Dual SIM setting as Chomp SMS where I can specify when using the phone app what SIM to default to make calls with despite what the Androis O/S default SIM setting is set to so I don't have to remember to manually select the SIM in the phone app each time I make a call.

Found a solution for anyone running into this issue. You can download the app Multi SIM Selector and set the default SIM to be used and disable the manual pop-up. It also can allow you to select the SIM to use per call and then rembers to use that SIM when calling that number.
