> +1 for void, something to revive legendary old basaband roms

i used void too surely was awesome.. always wanted to try megatron never got a chance for it... hope you can revice them..

I could revive them if I had a computer worth of doing such a thing...unfortunately I'm not sure the old xp could even handle that sorta thing...not to mention,we wont have internet back til Sunday....I don't have a Linux program, but I already know there easy to find...I'd have to talk to the original developer of void to get his blessings bit if anyone did it before me...that would be awesome..keep it minimal and light and have the options of doing what you wanted....incredible battery life for battery lovers and high benchmark for those gamers out there....funny thing is if it hadn't been for those legendary roms this device had almost 2 years ago we wouldn't of seen many great roms afterwards...if anyone has any ideas as to how I'd get started with using a crappy PC,let me know..its about time I make a better contribution other than being a senior on this site...

If more on this site took the time to learn a few things, there would be less noobish remarks made on developer threads...the moderators have taken great measures to keep most of em clean but for the not part I've seen users actually asking how to root this device...a step by step guide in good English on developing, theming, and porting would be incredible to see...have some links to programs that darknight,Neco,Franco,mik_os and others have used....

[Q] 1.48ghz overclock

iv seen it a couple places of people overclocking at 1.48 on the vibrant and have searched and can't find anything.. I am the bible holder and was going to add.. but nothing there.. is this a self made and non-published kernel?
if im not mistaken its a non published alpha kernel.
It's an edt alpha kernel, and both the 1.44 and 1.48 version are awesome. Once they're ready for public release, it'll be the new hottest thing. I'm getting 2500+ on quadrant, if you care about that sort of thing.
Those kernels are not available to the public.

Work well for me. The most stable oc I have ever used. Also better battery life then a 1.2 kernel.

I have not flashed Bullet 1.48Ghz(yet) but i'm currently running Bullet 1.44Ghz and its running pretty stable for me. No FC or reboots to speak of, of course my phone has always played well with OCing. My avg batt life has been around 10hrs Quadrant around 2300, of course thats on Bionix1.3.1 im gonna run it in on Malice for a few days and see what i get, that ROM has been the kindest to me in regards to batt life when OCed.
Good luck to all! If you get a chance i'd check it out, as stated its not a "public release" so if you want it ur gonna have to do a little more searching as of now its not released on XDA. Its a private release from [EinherjarDevelopmentTeam]

Give it a shot on Heathen's JPJPM ROM. Im having around 12-14 hours running this while OCing to 1.3, all that disregarding the 2400 quadrant score Im getting.
This is all on Overstock 2.2.1 btw.

Yes Dan, same reason I mentioned to get it from their homesite. lol
When it comes to overclocking to 1.48ghz I will not recommend it as I have tried it with so many settings on the Temp from 47 degrees to 51 and is not stable at all.
I rather recommend 1.42ghz that is very stable and working great.
I would like to try those kernels....where i can find them??

And again....that's the same thing that's been there for a while now. Where can we find the NEW ones referenced in the start of this thread??? 1.48 and 1.44???
The new ones are said not be stable or at least not as stable as 1.42 has been.
And they are in the donators section...
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
Ok just donated. Glad to as I love EDT roms. Seeing new things on the site that were not there before so know the donation worked. Still not seeing where these are located. And yes, went to all the places previously mentioned and even logged out and back in again. Anybody?? It should not be that difficult to find or get a straight answer.

I just can't make up my mind!

Since Joining this community and a self admitted noob. I am in NO WAY a developer of any kind. Just someone, who because of xda learned to root and flash and enjoy the power you folks have allowed me to unleash on an otherwise introductory android phone that is the optimus T. Here is my dilema. All you Devs have created such amazing Roms, I can't make up my mind on which one to use for my everyday!! I am looking for a fast powerful Rom. I have alot of Apps (not games, more like productivity apps) can the more expierenced family members make some suggestions on what would be the best choice for my daily use Rom. Thank-you XDA!!!!

You could try miks cm7 and custumize it yourself
or you could use a theme Rom that is outstanding in the Theme section.
Hope you can find a ROM that suits you

Hmm...i can only think of CyanogenMod 7.
If you are willing to wait, the excellent Oxygen rom or Andy's Phoenix rom has some bugs but will be ironed out soon.
I am totally willing to wait. The work these guys do is such an art form dude. And just like painting a picture or jamming a song they share it with the fans. ITS GREAT. So you think I should run with the current stable version of miks cm7 for right now?

@Sorry2U Thanks for the advice.
On an unrelated note. Being 27 years of age and a child of the 80s. I am a HUGE fan of the Trannsformers. Its my favorite representation of the eternal battle between good and evil.

Ok brotherrs and sisters. I'm running miks cm7. What's the best way to go as far as the overclock and my govener setting? IV been going with 748/320 set at smartassV2 it seems to be serving me well, but again......in the big picture..what do I know? Anyone have any tips??

put min freq. to 480 mhz and max to 729 mhz
don't usse any other apk to overclock use cyan default one
and if you want to use another apk than this then no frill will be great
but don't use setcpu coz it runs like service
I have the optimus t as well use miks CM7 it is the fastest and most customizable ROM out there

brothers and sisters. I'm sticking with CM7 for my every day rom. Goldenleaf kernal. 749/480 INTERactiveX. I have a great battery life, and multitasking is smooth as a jazz club in NYC. And for my hanging around the house on a weekend Rom IV gone with Void #Froyo Final. Latest Franco Kernal. Same OC as my CM7. And I opted with the Froyo Rom. Because of the terrible cell signal where I live, so Tmobiles life saving wifi calling App which doesn't work on 2.3.X Roms, is a must! thank you to ALL in this family for the suggestions thank you more to all who create these wonderful pieces of art and share them with there fans. (Rom) Supercm7-Gs2-Att-V1 (11/5/2011)

I'm sure most of you are familiar with HTCCLAY and his "super" series, he's been releasing them since the g1 days. I have the unfortunate displeasure of being on a different device than him, and thus , can't flash his roms. With his permission, I decided to fix that. I present to you SuperCm7 for the At&t Galaxy S II. Its a fully functional and optimized port for this device. Most of you know me from my Biffmod series, which I'll likely release for this device at a later date. Hope you enjoy this one though.
You're phone doesn't have a warranty at this point...., if it explodes ... - NOT IT-
*Features
---------------
-Htcclay official seal of awesomeness
-Themed /Tweaked
-ICS Notification/alarm/ringtone
-ICS boot animation
-Ricktips
-Unicorns
#Used cm nightly #9 as the base, so any bugs present in that build will carry to this rom#
Any bugs you find, please post in the thread and I'll address them in the next update.
Download Version 1 from ibmirror.us HERE (gapps are included)

So far everything seems to be running great... except, my data with out wifi seems really slow.
I am going to try to re install and see if I made the mistake of messing something up.
Very smooth. Looks nice.
The negitive is (and at no fault to the Dev) I Have been running Miui for a long time now and this seems like a step back from that. I dont know what the plans are for this rom, but it definitly is better than stock and better than basic CM7.

Let my phone rest in peace

Is there any ROM that allows the phone to be turned off while charging?
Currently using Mik's 6.5.8.
Don't understand while they haven't implemented this option.
Yes, alot of froyo roms ie...devoid froyo final, mgatron, void forever (I think) have they battery charging thing, I don't know of the technical reason for it not being on cm7, haven't really cared to much to find out but I guess there was a poll of users who opted it out for cm7

All roms based on official lg firmware have this feature.
That's megatron, just search for ciaox's repository of mods or something to that extent..I want to say its under the android development stickies in our device forum...its a chronological list of roms by versions, tutorials and different kernel versions

I've never used official anything, once I rooted I stuck with custom roms and unofficial ports...back in the day, flashing radio's on cupcake/donut was easy, radio's are today's basebands, I've stuck to old baseband since I've had this phone

Oh well, I guess I have to do some lobbying to the CM folks.
Obviously, the phone must have the ability to stay ON while being charged. But there are also times when it makes sense to turn off the phone.
Just imagine the amount of energy saved if all the phones are powered off for 8 hours a day!
let it charge in recovery, it's almost as good as the froyo roms charging mode. pretty fast, too.
I dont wanna cr8 new thread thats why i posted in this thread..i m not able to charge...yesterday at nite it wan 32 & today mornin same i came frn skool but still same.

General Rom Discussion Idea!

I think someone should make a complete Rom list on the most popular roms for the LG P500. This would be really helpful for everyone who is looking for a good new rom. After each rom there should be the features it has, battery life, speed, bugs etc. If anyone is familiar enough with all the good roms they should make a post with each rom and its details. Thanks
