So i flashed the new firmware that Sony released and it works great but I'm wondering if flashing a new custom kernel will improve or make it slower?
Haven't seen anything based on the new fw (or perhaps I'm just blind)

there are 2 kernels for this room. Make sure that you read the full installation details because it's self explanatory. The ROM is for unlocked bootloader

The latest Leak is either 3.14.605.10 or higher.
The firmware and kernel are the newest. The rom isn't the newest but if you aren't having issues with your setup no reason to change.
So by the looks of my build number I am not on latest leak.....any link to it?

Currently there are 3 custom kernels available for our Xperia S; Advanced Stock kernel, KA SSpeed kernel, and XSX kernel. Among them, KA SSpeed allows overclocking. I'm not sure about Advanced Stock kernel though. While XSX kernel doesn't allow yet overclocking.
Thanks, well after installing sspeed kernel I had very bad graphics defects all over the interface so I am now using advanced ics kernel... The latter is great and supports two way call recording....
Did anybody else have problems with the sspeed kernel???

Try version 1 of the speed kernel instead

He might not even have access to that feature. He's using the last version of PrimeHD that supported stock kernel... probably for a reason.
