Why wait for update? Just download global ftf file and flash your phone by flashtool!

The better option is flashtool

yes . its better to flash with flash tool rather than using PCC . when i flashed my phone with PCC i got lot of problems .

Thanks all for replying, Yesterday i got official ICS Update and now my phone running it smoothly.

I used your tutorial to create one successfuly. It is great.
But I doubt that its not Indian version. Cause my phone may be running on some other version. Is there any way to find what region firmware I m using ?

I updated my Xperia U using Sony update service, and I got the French firmware, even though I live in the UK.
So it seems that the answer is no.
