People asking tousand times about the same thing... It is known that XMP update will be last in queue so we will need to wait few weeks yet.

This is one of those examples where the smartphone is certainly smarter than the owner.
You expect us help you, but you don't even put up the effort to communicate appropriately? Instead you offend us with this cryptic garbage lingo and don't even grasp that you stand in your own way.

+1! Maybe Sony is fixing other bugs that were'nt fixed on the initial release of the updates. We're lucky were going to have a better update than the first phones to receive them. HOPEFULLY!..

Indeed, there is no indication that the 587 update for mini pro contains the same number of fixes as for the other phones.
However, there is no indication it will contain more fixes/less bugs either
Just wait and see, in the meantime, play with some nice roms out here with locked bootloader. You can easily update once 587 comes out...

I've been trying custom ROMs because stock just didn't cut it anymore for me. If Sony gives us a broken update after waiting for this long, this will be my last Xperia phone.

I really hope they improve the kernel too, im sick of this android OS comsuming 3/4 of your battery, and having to restart your phone after each charge, its ridiculous, i dont want to unlock my bootloader yet, but if they doesn't fix this, i'll have to try unlocking and flashing some kernels, by the way, custom roms are really good for this device, they improve wht stock lacks, and the option to try them with locked bootloeader is awesome

Xperia S - 4.0

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knew when the Xperia S is getting android 4.0/whether it was worth putting a custom rom on it, depending on how much time there is.
Thanks,
Storm08
Good grief!
This forum needs a like button
We're not getting it, ever... Its a myth like unicorns
Last time I heard from Motorola that Xperia s will get 4.0 early next.year.

[Xperia U] Can We Root Xperia U ANYWAY?

Hey Guys...
I used to have x8i, x10i, Neo, and now I'm gonna buy an Xperia U.
But I can't figure out something, since there is a little progress on this device in XDA.
The simple question is this: If I buy this little honey, Can I root it ANYway?
I mean either with locked BL or unlocked BL.
And, Is latest version, .184, rootable?
Actually, I want to know whether it is possible to root this device or not, and if yes, WHICH VERSION...
It would be greatly appreciated if you provide me the link..
Thanks in Advance...
Zende Baashin, Hezaar Saal...
Hey...
I want to know if there is anyway to unlock sim, or if someone is working on. If can unlock sim, BT will be unlockable, right?
Thenks.
Unlocking the SIM card and Unlocking the bootloader are totally independent and different.
Unlocking the SIM is not a way or a "cause" for unlocking bootloader.
Bootloader unlocking is a different story, especially in the case that it's official. through Sony Mobile website...
I have blocked BT. I can use sony mobile method...
Anyone Home?!!!!
Any Answer?!!!!

first, tnx for your and ohter devs' hardwork.
then, there rises a question, how much chance do we have to get this little phone rooted? and then, who is the main dev for this? how much time do you estimate we need to get it done?

It is working, but I'm not yet sure if it's failsafe. Many things are the same as the XPS exploit and some work was done by Pokoby but I can't find his thread now. Basically it's a community effort.

It should not cause any damage, but something in there is not working every time, so you sometimes need multiple tries to get zergrush to work.

i kinda have an idea of what it is... is it a method kinda like the Tablet S? if yes, it is normal that it fails the rooting sometimes...

Not sure, it's mostly the same thing that was used for XPS.
hum, by XPS you mean Xperia S right? gotta read a bit how it is.
Pokoboy was just kidding, believe me! I read that thread all over, and nothing...
I hope there will be solution for root problem...
BTW, can you provide us with the root tool you are talking about? we will give it a shot, and we don't expect it to work 100%...
this device is very hard to root in locked bootloader because sony fixed the exploit., and another thing this phone is using different microprocessor(NovaThor), not a common Qualcomm SoC.

Even if he was (though I'm pretty sure he wasn't), he pointed me in the right direction. I'm the only person working on it, and I'm on vacation so I am NOT working on it right now.
I'll have a test version in a couple weeks.

kernel Leak comment

i open this thread for no devlopper who want to report bug on last kernel leak 2.6.39
i haven't the atrix but i'm interest on it for the actual price and hardware .
so anybody can report comment for xda developer
its good, i mean very good...
hello there pal, can you please clarify what do you need to know?
If you need to know about the latest leak for Atrix I should say it's pretty unfinished and batter does not last more than 7 hours or so of your phone does not reboot every X hours or you don't have a screen glitch.
The odds are: if you want a good and useable phone, you should stick to CM7/Stock Moto firmware if you buy an atrix and you want it fully functional without worries.

It's very hard to say, but nothing less than a few months. As mentioned it will take us a while to find a way to get Themer to work on lower-end devices without sacrificing performance.
