Hi guys,
I purchased Micromax Funbook Pro last week for my mother who is professor of Marathi and has lot of work on MSOffice in marathi.
They told me that Funbook Pro Supports Devnagari(Marathi/Hindi) fonts and it does!!
but however i am not able to see Joint(complex) letters on my Funbook pro.
so i decided to add some external fonts to device. As my device is new and i do not want to void warranty by rooting it,
I got an idea.
I have Quick Office Pro installation package for my android, and i want to add this font file to that package
(you can see many fonts in that package file when opened in Winrar/7zip)
I want to replace any one of them and add marathi unicode font in that place,.
I tried to doing it by Winrar and Signing it by apk signer but it doesn't work (Application failed to install)
Please can someone help me adding this font file to apk package?
These are files (I renamed marathi unicode font as palcescript[one who already exist in the package & i dont need] and also included a win7 unicode font Mangal Which supports devnagri very well)

For example, Simple Text icon apps tell me to place custom fonts in that app's /font folder. But I don't see anywhere to obtain ttf files for android, just websites that tell me to install apk files. where do I get ttf's?
edit: nvm, I didn't know I could use regular windows ttf's on an android phone

I saw a lot of people looking for a way to view fonts in Hindi or other languages which were not supported and all they saw was small rectangles .
Here I am posting this Guide to viewing the fonts that you need.
I chose Hindi language and Mangal.ttf fonts.
Make sure you use TrueType fonts only.
And this method requires making CHANGES TO REGISTRY so i suggest that you USE AT YOU OWN RISK .
Recuirement:-
1. Full unlock ROM
2. WP7 root tools installed
3. Mangal.ttf font file that will be available on any computer windows 7 installed on it. Go to
control panel/font. Here you find mangal.ttf copy that file to anywhere and send it to your
phone. Mangal.ttf also available on internet download it to your phone.
Process:-
1. Use WMDC to copy font to your phone at \Windows. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2691682
2. Open WP7 Root tools.
3. Open Registry editor go to local machine/system/GDI/font. Here create a new value and
give value name as mangal.ttf and give value data 1 and save it.
4. After doing all process Restart your phone and after that you will be able to view hindi
font on you wp7.
thanks buddy, will try

I need to read like text files of 2- 3 pages and multiple text files need to be stored . so is there like a file manager to open the text files and
read them according to your choosing . and i also need to know like can i decrease the font on the text file so that i can fit in more lines of text than the standard 3-4 lines of bold text.
You can use ES file explorer (apk manual installing) , or a reader app like those:

After hours of decompiling and things alike, I finally managed to extract the Oppo Colour OS 2.1.x files from the .dat file. But Once I extracted the folders and other things. I come to the launcher folder which has 3 things in the root of the Oppolauncher folder. A folder names "arm", another folder named "lib", and the launcher apk file itself. I know by past experience (Haven't tested myself.) That the apk needs those two folders. (theres also a folder names "oppolaunchersystem" with an arm folder and "oppolaunchersystem.apk.") In order to port these apk files for use with Lollipop devices (Colour OS 2.1.x I believe is lollipop.) Do I have to implement the lib and arm folders (maybe the launchersystem apk)? And if so, how? Thanks for anyone willing to help me with creating the system dump.
I attached the two folders in a Zip file for anyone who wants to examine it.
Sorry for my bad English if I made any errors.
{EDIT} I tried installing OppoLauncher.apk through ADB and I got back [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT] and with OppoLauncherSystem.apk I got back [INSTALL_FAILED_SHARED_USER_INCOMPATIBLE]. So it seems that OppoLauncher will work on the device I tested it on (Droid Ultra on 4.4.4) but It needs some sort of resource within the Colour OS 2.1 .x ROM.
