Hey guys coming from Galaxy Nexus the AOKP team put out the best ROM's for sure but I can not seem to find any for my GS3. Are they planning on developing anything similar for the GS3 or is there anything similar?
I'm sure there is AOKP roms check the development and original development forums they will be there.
EDIT: Here's an AOKP Rom for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716001

Hello All,
I'm new to this thread as I just came over from the N7000 series of the Note because i just had to have LTE speeds and I must say I miss having the AOSP based ROMs that the N7000 had and was wondering if we'll ever see this for our i717 Notes?

Build it.
pretty sure cyanogenmod is working on CM9 for the note...
Most likely as soon as Samsung releases ICS source code which likely wont be released probably until ICS becomes official.
Its possible the CM team is building based off code from the N7k for the i717 but the phones are different from each other.
There are tons of threads with this very same question that have been started in this thread, I have explained in great detail (as have others) that explain what the problem(s) are, Id suggest starting there.

hi guys, i've been wondering if there are any free developers and programmers that are skilled enough to port a few of the well known ROMS from the i9300 (international) version of the SGS3 to the US releases such as:
Omega
Omega AOKP
AOKP
CM9
and maybe the Siyah Kernel as well.
I Am willing to be patient as i'm sure many other are for these Roms. and i would just like to know if there are any people working on this already because the Omega ROM looks tiiighht.
If you're on the sprint version Team Epic is porting Cm9, once Cm9 is ported the rest will follow.

sweet man thanks!
Sorry if this has already been answered, but I've searched far and wide, and only been able to find the TW UX Launcher and a port of the very early 4.0.3 I9300 firmware. So that already kind of indicates an answer to my question, but I'd rather ask to make sure.
Are there any ROMs based on the stock I9300 firmware?
None as of the moment. There was a project long time ago about porting i9300 rom to sgs2 but that project was abandoned. I saw one rom that was skinned with sgs3 theme and based on stock ics for sgs2 but unfortunately the dev has been banned due to creating multiple accounts and giving other roms a bad name (something like that).

No, Don't flash anything from i727, the hardware is different. I'd recommend Task650 & Ktoonsez 7/3/12, great ICS ROM based on aokp milestone 6. Also this is ported development, if you have questions ask them in Q&A.

Wrong forum, but try Rootbox in this thread I highly recommend it. I have tried many JB ROMs here.

Read and follow instructions on how to flash. I also recommend watching the "noob" video to learn the rules of xda to avoid breaking them.
Closing this down.. the two phones are completely incompatible.. no point in doing anything with thread.
OP, do more research before you flash anything please...
Been reading a lot about the latest version out 4.2.2 and all I saw are positive feedbacks. From extra smoothness to extra battery life to a lot of fixes. Any roms out there venturing in 4.2.2 asides from cm10.1 ?
I know this sounds noobish but dont wanna ask every rom dev of his future plans. Thats why I asked in here.
Best regards

many devs are making the 4.2.2, can check them in the android development section, but it has got some bugs and stuff like that so let them work on it some time and it will come out smooth~ :good:
