Has anyone successfully flashed any of these on a new OTA (2.x) based ROM?

I dont see why they wouldnt work. Vr theming does not contain a whole apk. They just have the images. I am not on the new ota so i cannot guarentee they will work but you could always make a backup and see. Im dont see why htc would change the folders the images are contained in.

[MOD/TOOL] PushBoot for the Evo 3D. V1.0 (8/1/11)

Well, with the Evo 3D comes root, and with root comes S-Off, and with that comes custom roms and themes. So here is pushboot for the Evo 3d.
What it does: easily changes your boot animation and powerdown animation through windows.
Remember to start you need:
-HTC Drivers installed
-A working bootanimation.zip and/or power down animation
-Your phone plugged in to the usb port (lol)
-Only ONE .zip in each folder (clearly labeled.)
Other than that, I included everything needed to make this work.
Any issues let me know and I can try to help you out!
And leave feedback and if you like this, press the thanks button on this post =D
As things change, I will update the best I can.
8/1/11 updateV1.0 released
added option to send to /data/local
added option to send to /system/media
added some other small changes inside the .bat
Nice job. Will be trying it soon
All out of thanks today, as soon as I get some back you will be getting a nice cool crisp one!

Doesnt matter what its called with pushboot. you can put it in the folder and call the zip makeitfail.zip and it will work.
Pushboot changed the zip's name to what it needs to be.
Not all bootanimations are put together right, and that will result in a black screen.
Thank you for this...... it will be a time saver.

I did this because I like to have it open when flashing roms. Really easy to send to recovery, and as soon as the new rom is flashed change your boot animation right away. I originally made it for myself to make things go faster =P

[REQUEST][MOD] Hide 4G notification

I am making a request to any modders out there that can remove the 4g notification icon when you have 4G on. I want to be able to use 4G but not see the icon there when not using it.
A mod for this was done for the evo 4G and an example and more clarification of the mod I want done can be viewed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883088
so basically if that could be ported over to the evo 3D that would be great
Thanks in advance

If you delete the png you also need to delete it also in public.xml and for that the apk needs to be decompiled compiled an resigned. An easier way would be to make the png transparent.

I did the smali edits....it worked on my phone...give me a minute, ill upload it..
This is the done the proper way, as in it will not only hide it, but it won't take up space in the status bar when the notification "would" be there, like invisible icons and such would
EDIT:
DISCLAIMER:I'm not responsible for any damage this may cause, though it hasn't caused any FC's or any ill-effects on my phone yet.
Install Instructions:
1. Download zip, put on SD card
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
4. Flash zip from recovery
5. Reboot
First bootup will take a while, but as long as there's no bootloop, just be patient.
This will remove the "4G Still on" or whatever it says when you're not connected to 4G, but your 4g radio is still on
Hide 4G Notification
And this will return you to stock settings if there's any problems...

BTW, the mod is an edit to the Settings.apk...Most other "icon removals" (gps on/off, etc.) are located in other apks or frameworks (jar files)...so this will not negate/over-write if you have a theme/mod removing the other icons

Beats by Dr.Dre Head Phone Icon

I notice that there was a few rom that have the dr.dre music modification. which is pretty nice, so every headphones would have pretty good sound quality.I love good music. I was surfing YouTube and seen that the sensation XE where it all came from had the beats icon. So i made one for the evo 3d:
1. You will need to download the icon first
2. then need to get a rom you would like it to be add to
3. Extract your rom in to a folder
4. In the rom folder go to \system\app. and get the systemUI
5. Extract the systemUI in to a folder
6. In the systemUI foder go to \res\drawable-hdpi and paste the two icons.
7. Now put every thing back to gather by rezipping all the items. remember to name the systemUI.apk.
8. Flash you oom with the beats icon.
Ever headphone that u plugin the icon will pop up.
Icon was made by me.
looks sick! thanks for posting!

The difference between mine and the one's that O.P. posted are slight, yet noticeable. I have included two different colored icons. One for no mic (Grey) and One for headset with mic. (Red) Color is a bit cleaner, and I also didn't include a black "fill" in the 'b' so that the icons blend in with any taskbar.
Big claps to O.P. For The Spark!
For anybody who is interested, here is my modded beats icons:

[MOD] Collection of cool transitions and window animations (Updated 10/15)!

I am a big fan of the transitions/ animations from Virus's eternity rom so I made a simple zip file that you can use to flash through metamorph in order to get those animations.
I have actually decided to make a small collection of different styles of transitions from various roms/themes, let me know if you have any suggestions.
Disclaimer - These are framework apk mods for the Evo3d CDMA but I believe it should work for GSM and sensation just fine. It may even work for other devices actually. Let me know whether it does or does not
Download zip for Eternity rom transitions
Download zip for Team Derp theme transitions
Download zip to revert to stock animations
Download zip for Photon 4g stock animations
Download zip for flip style animations
Metamorph Instructions
1) download metamorph from the market (its made by stericson, a mod and dev on xda)
2) move the zip to either Androidthemes folder on your sd or anywhere else but remember where you put it
3) start the app and let it run the checks
4) choose unzip/extract new theme
5) point to the location of the zip
6) let it extract the file
7) hit apply all!
8) reboot and taduh!
Thanks to Virus for letting me do this and thanks to Vinchenzop for getting me into metamorph!
Thanks to ilduce and teamderp for their awesome theme where i got their transitions from!
Hit thanks if you like it!
what style transitions are they? screenshots/samples or trans/anim names?
I'm gonna try to upload a video later since its hard to describe them...
they are pretty cool though I can guarantee you that

Flat Black Toolbar on Jelly Bean-SENSE

I dont know how to make a flashable zip but heres the system UI with the flat black tool bar in place.
Must be rooted-I did this on ODEX so im not sure if it really matters.
Just rename the original SystemUI.apk as SystemUI.apkbak
then copy the SystemUI.apk from this thread into the system/apps folder and fix permissions, then restart your phone.
I know this is minor and this is a dirty way to do this but like I said I dont know how to make a flashable zip.
Thanks. Hey try app2zip on the market. Free and makes flashable zips

I have not done anything at all. I actually like the blue one you made as well. I like it the way it is in that pic but if removing the clock is a pain it wouldn't bother me

Just replace the SystemUI.apk in the AOSP style zip with this one using 7zip and rename the zip

I am stuck. I flashed your SystemUI.apk with the blue battery and wanted to revert to my original backup. Now, I don't have a taskbar at all. What am I doing wrong?
Edit: And, I cannot get a wallpaper to work.
Edit2: Even a dirty flash doesn't fix the issue.

You weren't suppose to flash this. It was meant to be pushed to your system folder. I would suggest wipe everything and start over

I know I said flash, but I meant pushed. I adb pushed to /system/app/ and chmod to 644. It worked. Then, I reverted back and that is when stuff went crazy. I think you are right though that I will have to wipe and start over. No worries. Thanks.

I am on Odex too. I think your mod works. I probably messed with the Odex file's permissions or something when I reverted. :good: No need for anyone to be afraid, this works as intended. I just was working too fast and not double checking my steps.
