Hi all, thanks and sorry if I am too noob. I am looking for solution for 2 hours and I cant find, maybe anyone can help me
I have Sola MT27i and I was trying to update to ICS and root my Xperia Sola for hours. I updated with Sony Companion and then I found the thread for root with Flashtool mode (flash to 6.1.1.B.1.10 with Flashtool, root using Bin4ry's method, then flash to 6.1.1.B.1.54), then I instaled CWM and I was trying now install a rom. It seems easy, and I did it last summer in my Geeksphone, but after various errors installing roms copied in externalSD as "installation aborted. Status: 7" I did the step 4 of this tutorial (enter in mounts and format system)and my Sola now only show SONY!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960590
"IF COMING FROM SOME OTHER ROM, make factory wipe then go into mounts/storage and format system (not needed if updating AOKP)"
I have tried all I find and I cant restore. I cant enter in CWM, I am flashing with MT27i_relock_bootloader.ftf and Flashtool and phone only show SONY after flash...
Please help

Dude ! The ftf's in the first link are only the kernel. You just installed a CM9 ROM over a stock kernel, which would explain why it had bootloop ( in your case stuck at Sony ).
Did you flash the CWM in the ROM ( the boot.img in the zip ) or one of the others on the forum? Because those are built on Stock kernel, and this uses CM9 kernel, causing bootloops ( This is just me trying to zero in on the issue )
Solution:
Since that 1st thread had only kernel, the files were ~10Mb. The actual ftf is much larger, around 300 Mb or so, as it contains all files.
Flash one of the other 2 links' ftf's via flashtool and you should be fine.

Flash the proper ftf file
It will reinstall proper kernel and everything and restore ur phone back to factory state
No it wont cause any damage until u flash wrong ftf file

Why to post ur antutu score here??
Try this
Download and intall flashtool from this page.
http://androxyde.github.io/
then install the drivers in the drivers folder where you installed it.
then place this file (kernel) in the firmware folder.
View attachment MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.rar
then open flashtool and click on the lightning bolt icon. Then use flashmode and flash the kernel.
and everything will be normal again.
Always remember to follow instructions to the letter if you don't wan't to brick your device in the future.
Cheers

Since you are on unlocked bootloader i suggest you install jb. It has been ported for sola too but don't know if and which bugs could exist.
If you want to restore the stock rom, search the ftf file from sola development section and dowload it. Flash it via flashtool and you are done.

jb is jellybean. Latest android os. Check here a modified version of jb --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288630
.img is not the custom rom but the kernel mate.
As about stock: download the ftf and open it with winrar. Extract kernel.sin and flash it via fastboot mode. After that flash via flashmode the ftf..
Stock
Jb(jelly bean) is a new branch of software newer than Ics(ice cream sandwich), in my opinion i recomend ultimate rom V4z but you have to read the instructions and last posts carefully.
In case you still dont want to install a new rom, heres the stock,

If he has unlocked bootloader he can't fix his device via pc companion.
Which device uses? Are you sure he installed a cwm for the device he uses?
Please post here the link of the cwm he used and the device he uses.

Download an ics ftf file from development section here and flash it via flashtool. I recommend you the .54. Root it and when you're done let me know.

Since you are on unblocked bootloader flash this kernel if you want, it's a great one. Prerooted, with integrated cwm recovery and there is an overclocked version too. here is the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2299748
Read carefully the instruction on how to install this kernel. Note that you have to install one of this version of firmware: 6.1.1.B.1.54. You can find this version here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028139
Enjoy!
