Hi,
i am running CM9 0819 on my P7500 and since the last google maps update, maps forces a restart of my tablet after approx. 30 secs.
anybody else realised this problem??
Many CM9 users are experiencing this same issue, your best bet is to uninstall updates via settings/apps, of you can't do that uninstall the new version and Google Google maps apk, you should be able to find an earlier version, that's what I had to do.

Hi there
I'm having some issues with the Facebook app.
The other day my friend told me there was an update, so I went to try and get it. The update didn't show up for me.
Today I switched ROM and tried to download the Facebook app and I can't even find it.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Would anyone be able to post an APK of the latest update on here?
Thanks
Snaily
Ok, now I can't see Google Maps or Opera Mini.
These are my commonly used apps. Maybe Google think I download too much of the same app?
U could try market enabler from the market n see if it helps

Thanks for the reply. But it didn't fix it.
I think I might take it to a T-Mobile store and see what they say...
try using the pc web version of the android market.
If u use a rom with custom lcd density (140), you have to change it to install facebook
Hi all,
Today I've installed ICS DOMINATION v4.0.1 and I must say I am very impressed with it and it runs very smooth, finally my Galaxy s2 looks more like a ICS phone.
The Issue is,
After I installed this Rom I couldn't find the Android Market, I was told to find Play Store after the previous Market recently got updated into Play Store.
I have found Play Store and I installed it, I accepted the terms and it's all good.
But when I tried to search for a App, it crashed and every time I try to open Play Store it crashes.
It's pretty frustrating and I hope you people can help me out here?
Kind regards.
Clear market data if it doesn't work then uninstall market updates and try...

After uninstalling updates clear data, delete vending.apk from system/app
And redownload Google play market from themes and apps section and install it

Back to stock (or GB custom rom) & wait for official ICS if you really want to get rid of the problem.
When Google Market switched to Play Market or whatever the new name is, I found that where I had it on my home screen was broken and needed to pulled from the app drawer again. It even needed a reboot first.
Again, just now almost, I had a problem and resolved it the same way but this time it was more apparent because I had a broken icon on the home screen as well. Same thing; had to pull it from the app drawer.
Both times this happened while I was in the middle of updating apps.
There is this possibility, long shot as it may be...
To start off, I have searched for a solution to this problem on here, and I have found nothing about it. I apologize if this thread exists (I have searched for it) and if it does, then please point me in the right direction. Thanks. As for the problem, every time I try to open the Google Play store it closes right way. This did not happen before receiving the Jelly bean update. I was wondering if any of you have encountered a similar problem. If so, have you found a way to fix it? Additional information: Stock jelly bean, unrooted

Unfortunately, I have tried that and it did not work. Basically it at least pulled up the play store page for a second then immediately crashed, instead of crashing right away. Still crashed though

Had Google play crashes myself after my navigation/maps was crashing too...now that its a known fact about navigation having issues I've just waited patiently for that particular fix....I seemed to have gotten lucky and don't have Google play crashing for last 2 days by:
A. Not using navigation til fix os found
B. Wiping 3x and reinstalling stock rooted chubbz jellybean rom.
Don't know if it has direct corrolation to navigation issue buts at least kept Google play from crashing for me since. Hope that helps.

Hello everybody!
I need help with Google Hangouts... I cannot login anymore. I'm on Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 (fully stock, not rooted, nothing changed at all).
For some days now on both devices Hangouts tells me it cannot connect to Google servers. ALL other Google apps like GMail, Calender etc are working as supposed, no sync problems. When I set up a new Google account IT WORKS!!! No problems with a second account.
I was searching the web and found different solutions, but none of them helped:
What I did so far: clean caches, clean data, freeze hangouts, revert to Google talk and then install hangouts again, deleted Google play services and installed again.
It can't be a network problem or general problem with my devices, because with another account it's working...
I noticed the problem first when I changed my account from @googlemail.com to @gmail.com some days ago, but I don't know if it's the reason. I already changed back to @googlemail.com but it does not help.
Please can anybody help me??? I'm getting mad about this!
Sorry for my bad english, sorry in case of double post!
Update:
Even after performing a factory reset the error occurs... Again after setting up a new Google account everything is working... So I guess the problem is not my device but Google itself.

I was having the same problem. Temporarly turning on "Googel's location service" and "Location & Google search" fixed the problem for me. :good:
Location service is always on. What do you mean with location and search? Google now is always on.

Hello! The problem solved itself, after a few weeks (!!!) everything was OK. Nevertheless I set up a new Google account. Good luck!
On my previous Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 (I can't remember the exact build), I had the new v7.x Google Maps. I had to get this replaced with another Galaxy S3 which has the current latest release build of 4.1.2, XXEMG4.
When I try to update Google Maps with Google Play, it's now only giving me version 6.14.4. I've tried uninstalling it, uninstalling the Play Store, clearing data from both apps, but I still end up with 6.14.4
If it's relevant, I have Play Store 4.3.11 and Play Services 3.2.25 (761454-36).
Is there any way to force the latest maps update through the Play store? I don't really want to install an APK directly, as it means I probably won't get the next release either.
Thanks.
Edit: My issue seems to have resolved itself with the recently released Maps update, which appeared in the Play store.
Well, i'm on 4.3 and the version from play store that i installed was v7, if you're not getting it automatically, and you're cleaning the Maps app cache, data and all and still don't get it, try installing the apk, it's not the latest version it's v7.0.0, so install it and try to update to version 7.1.0

The extracted apk is usually in Themes and Apps .

It seems they pulled the update for me as well. Not that I'm complaining. I hated The New maps

Same here, guess they have pulled the update for Galaxy S3. Guess it may have something to do with my (and of course others) complaints and feedbacks sent.
do u already have the update? play store still won't give me the v7.1.

Seems like the problem is not really a problem, they disabled updating to v7 for devices running Android 4.1.2. Happens on my other Samsung galaxy device too. This doesn't seem to be occurring for 4.2.2 and above.
Sent from my GT-P6800 using Tapatalk 4
The "rollout" delay is extremely slow to be accepted since the 16th of August that 7.1 was announced...
I am also betting on an update being pulled for some reason because I am getting all other recent Gapps updated from the Play store in the usual timely manner - 1 or 2 days post announcement maximum.
So, whoever got it at first got it, if uninstalled for any reason, will be stuck at 6.14.4 until.....
P.S: Samsung galaxy s2 here on stock JB 4.1.2
PS2: As for not updating if u install the apk, I can confirm that its not valid since I ve updated many gapps in the recent past that I couldnt wait for and got all the subsequent updates from Play on time. Latest example being Google+
That's why today, tired of digging an explanation in the Maps issue, I directly installed 7 from the XDA thread
Solved
My issue seems to have resolved itself with the recently released Maps update, which appeared in the Play store.
Same happened here. Seems that the 7.2 update resolved the unknown issue. It came 1-2 days later after its initial release as a Play store update, over the 7.1 version which was APK installed
