Yup this happens sometimes for me also but very RARELY on GB. It's just software issue not hardware.

what kernel you use ?
i think you have a problem related with yourself, not the phone.
if the back button (or any other capacitive button) gets wet or moist, it will stop responding.
wipe it with dry clothes and keep it from getting wet.
report if it solved the problem, if not, it's broken, take it to service.

I do agree with you as my entire phone stopped working after it cam in contact with water. I did manage to save it except for the back button. The service center's here (Mumbai,India) are quiet unreasonable with their repair quotes for a non warranty device.Hence would you know which part of the hardware needs replacing so that i may do it myself?
I did open my device and found a blue plastic like thing attached to the display (image attached for reference). Would you know if i need to change the entire display.
Thanks for reading.

im using cm9 o my neo
everything is just awesome
but there is one big bug which is really annoying
wifi keeps disconnecting
before this rom i've been using GB based roms there were no such wifi issues there
so i hardly think so there is any hardware failure
for the record i've been dealing with this problem over any ics based roms
some people told me maybe you are using the wrong baseband but im using recomended basebands and kernels
anybody had this problem before ?
any solution ?
thanX

since it was working for you before, it shouldnt be a hardware issue.
Wifi is associated with the kernel, thats why I asked you to try another.
whats the issue actually? can you be more specific?

ohh..strange..why dont you check this out on another ICS rom, maybe? because cm9(even the stable version) still has bugs.. or try the fxp version..fxp133 and check with that kernel.

I have a problem with my sola. When I charging, the touch screen is very poor performance. The scrool is very lag, and the multitouch doesn't work. I use build .54. This is a rom bug, or the touch screen wrong?
Sorry my bad english.

Try changing the charging wire. Some people have reported success when it was changed.
Same problem with me......... I think it is bug in the .54 firmware.........

Touch screen works on the principle of electric field on the surface of screen's display. When you touch a 'touch screen; with your finger, a tiny amount of charge is assimilated which helps the phone to find exact c ordinates of your touch. So basically, when the charger is connected, some amount of charge is leaked and it causes constant interruption between your finger and the screen which causes this problem.....No worries..its not an ICS bug....it happens with every Sola user

As far as i know its a problem with all ICS fw for sola.. hopefully it will be fixed next update
So, this is a software or hardware bug?
Hmm, interesting, I have not noticed that problem.
I am using TheBrainsRon right now but I'm pretty sure that on clean stock .54 fw it was also OK...
.54
i think its a bug in 54 never had that problem on 10. im surprised there hasn't been a fix. looking for an update lol! any good .54 custom rom i can use?

I do not recommend. Here is a rule and a tip:NEVER FLASH WITHOUT WORKING HARDWARE BUTTONS!.If you flash a ROM,you might not be able to enter Recovery or Download mode, and you risk bricking your phone. Replace the HOME button. And if HOME button is completely dead,ROM/Kernel flashing won't help.

Dear friend,
There's a problem in your hardware related to the power switching. Its internal.Take it to the SONY service center nearby and I think they won't charge you more for this minor problem. Please Lock you bootloader and make sure you are on Generic ROM before you approach.
Press thanks if I helped
