[KERNEL]BAMF Vigor Kernel[3.0.51][Sense/AOSP] - HTC Rezound

Oh Hai =) Didn't see you guys there =P This is my ever kernel project so be nice =)
What is a Kernel? The Kernel is the Foundation in which everything else builds upon in any software system.
[Car Analogy]: Kernel is like the Engine, Electrical system and the Transmission to a car. The Library, Framework and the Apps [AKA ROM] are the body frame and the rest of the Car.

THIS KERNEL is BASED ON HTC Source Code. So it is COMPATIBLE ONLY WITH HTC Rezound ICS Sense/AOSP ICS/JB Builds.
I'm not going to tell you what not to use or what to use because since I don't have time and some of the things out there actually help in some way. However Don't Use Task Managers or "speed scripts" cause they honestly make everything worse or most of them do not all but most do
About Kernel:
Basically this is meant to be a stable kernel no shiny lights no red lazers no special governors no supernatural powers no fireworks just pure speed and stability =) what it does have extra is listed below
- Latest Linux Kernel Version 3.0.51
- Sense 4 Animations Fix
- Sense 4 Vibrator fix
- Per-flock disabled
- Linaro Optimization's
- O-3 optimization's
- Fixing some derp typos by HTC
- Built in mpdecision
- Compiled with Linaro Toolchain
- Pure BAMFNESS =)
Moar Info:
In the future i might add "some" special features but not right now if there is a high demand for a certain feature i will consider adding it in =)

So I'm on ViperRez 1.0.3 and flashed this kernel in AR 3.15 without wiping anything. My Wi-Fi is broke now though constantly "turning on".. What did I do wrong?

Please report back wasup I'd like to know how it runs on Valpha1 or Valpha2. I take it you're on Empiire's fix or Deck's though if wifi isn't working. Still, report back please sir.
This looks great, I checked out the changelog and it has almost everything one would want (for 2.3.4) all rolled into one! Time to flash!
Which one do we flash? Sorry for the noobish question

Using CM7 valpha2
OC'd min/max to 1836mhz w/ performance gov, received quad of 3009
Set to stock speeds 1.18 min/max w/ performance gov -- quad of 2132
Not too shabby. Battery meter still appears to be an issue with this kernel (to be expected)
Edit: Use the 8x60 series kernel

Full wipe, battery was around 50 percent. Installed cm 7 alpha 2 and this kernel. Wiped battery stats as well.
Booted phone up and it was showing battery as dead. I've been charging and it appears to be charging just fine. Battery shows 16% at the moment. Ill report back with results.

[Q] Quick rom question....not a noob

My UPS driver at work wants me to root his phone. SO he's bringing it into the office today and dropping it off for a while and I'm going to root and s-off and load a rom on there for him. Now I'm an experienced android user, but I don't have the time to read all the thread in the dev section and hand pick a rom out for him--work is too busy. What is the most stable/battery efficient rom/kernel combination that I can toss on there that won't leave me being tech support for this guy? Thanks for the help.
forgot how early it was
For Sense, Killasense. AOSP, ProTekk or Thunder Sheds version with the IMO lean kernel on either.

Best kernel

Hey xda,
I haven't flashed flashed a kernel in months so I was wondering what the best kernel for the tbolt is and if anyone can give me directions on how to flash it cause I think I remember but not 100% sure.
Thank you in advance

Imos kernels are really good for sense and aosp but my favorite for aosp is tiamats. Just clear caches and flash them in recovery.

Interesting. I wonder if because there isn't a huge gap in the scale that it helps the battery.

^^ AGREE. I am using the Zoom Kernel due to the fact that IMO's kept hanging on me on anything over 1.5. Also I wouldn't run a kernel as a DD at 1.4 - 1.9 though. Not good for the CPU at all. I'd suggest anything below maybe 1.5 as a DD and when you know you have something intense to do on the phone then maybe turn it up for that particular event. But it's you're phone and the freedom of choice is a great thing so have at it! :fingers-crossed:
Try different kernels because the same kernel may work differently from device to device.
Imos kernels are great. Both for sense & aosp.

Preferred CM9 ROMS?

Not to start a controversy...but I just wanted to get an idea of what people are using and how they are enjoying their CM9 roms.
Any input or opinions will be cool.

You mean what ROM we are running?
I'm using (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ at the moment, it's been working pretty solid for me.
You really can't go wrong trying out the various latest builds, Gray's is pure CM9 with no tweaks added, the rest have various things added/modified/removed.
Best way is to try them out, as everyone is going to have different opinions.
The builds are all pretty much the same, just small tweaks here and there, but Snuzzo's kernel is a beast, so Rage is the winner for me at the moment.
Rage all the way
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Neo's Rage is awesome the inverted gapps are sick.
I prefer plain CM9, so I'm using Gray's ROM. Replaced the kernel with the Super Charge kernel though
Maybe this is a good place to ask: I'm running Gray's 9/21 CM9 build, does Snuzzo's kernel work with it? I'd like to give that Wheatley governor a try.
Which phone are we talking about here? Cm9 and kernels aren't universal right? Still learning.

Yea, I just went back to it because of stability problems with AOKP. Snuzzo's kernel works great with it. Screen-off battery life is crazy on Wheatley.

I am probably getting excited for nothing but if I do use this kernel with CM10.1 will it take care of all the bugs like audio, BT, and camera
no all of those things are still a work in progress and i cant work bt anyways i dont have a headset but i am going to try i fix audio not sure how fast i can work as im still learning the ins and outs of coding
I haven't had a chance to search or ask Crpalmer about this...but could you add in the 192mhz clock speed? Since one of his updates to the CM kernel, its only ever had 384mhz as the lowest select-able. As far as I know his sense kernel still has 192mhz in it. Just a thought!
I clocks added all the way down to 100 MHz but for some reason I can only get it to show 384 _ 1512 mhz

the reason crpalmer/chad removed it was because now at 384mhz it uses the same amount of power as the 192mhz clock did, so now it does more for less power basically
Is this gonna be dependent on cm builds? If so, you might wanna designate dates like in Palmers thread
