Hey guys, I'm considering buying a EVO 4G LTE to run on MetroPCS, since the DROID RAZR I bought is incompatible with Metro's network. D; The reason being, MetroPCS doesn't accept MEIDs beginning with anything other than A00000 or A100000, and the RAZR's MEID begins with 99x. So my question is what does the EVO 4G LTE's MEID start with? Or, if you have or know anyone personally who has flashed the EVO 4G LTE to Metro, please let me know. Thanks in advance! :good:
My evo lte meid starts with 99

Since Verizon and Sprint are both CDMA is it possible to get the Evo 3D on Verizon?
If so how would I go about doing this?

Well the obvious answer is no But you can hop on the verizon network momentarily if needed although that takes a little bit of tweaking which needs S-off

You can and you can't. It's kind of illegal. Some people would flash certain PRLs, but on their rooted Evo 4G, to get better signal and basically use Verizon coverage, therefor their contract and account terminated. Some people have switched ESN's and MEID numbers on the Evo to work on the verizon, so most likley the evo 3d can do the same as well. Just gotta keep searching.......and good luck.
Or wait till 2012 and thunderbolt 3d comes out lol jk
But yeah you can't have it legally right now
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
I think he is talking about permanently with a Verizon contact. But you can force it to roam with the roam control app in the market. It doesn't require root for HTC devices anymore.

I read somewhere on here that Verizon won't activate a device with an ESN/MEID that didn't originate in their system anymore. If the Evo 3D somehow ended up with an ESN/MEID that came from a Verizon phone I guess they wouldn't know the difference, they'd think that the Evo 3D was that Verizon phone.
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if the HTC Evo 4G LTE would work on the verizon network.
I really like the phone, I just don't like Sprint...
I also haven't been able to find any verizon phone that is comparable to the HTC Evo 4g LTE.
Anyways thanks for your help!
You can force your phone to roam to there 3g towers, but I hear that eventually after so much roaming...sprint will kick u off their network. As for 4g lte, their frequency is 700 (or 800 can't remember exactly) and sprints is 1900, so that's just not compatible.

Ok I'm from Orlando, and have a HTC EVO 3D flash to metroPCS with current working 3G. I also have a true metroPCS Samsung Admire also with 3G. My point is I went to Tampa for training and my HTC EVO down graded to 1x and my Samsung Admire was still in 3G this happen while in Tampa. I power cycle my HTC EVO and still booted on 1x got back to Orlando and my HTC was back on 3G. Is anyone having similar issues in Tampa with HTC evo? Or can this be metroPCS Tampa is using 3G AWS channel. And HTC EVO don't support it. Let me know guys if I'm correct. Thanks

I can respond as you can see from my profile on the left. I get 1x more now than I used to. I assumed it may be the new Prl. I don't go to Orlando except to drive through to Daytona, so I can't compare.

Yeah but what's funny the Samsung Admire has AWS band built-in and HTC EVO doesn't. Both phones are on latest PRL 3029

Of course, I myself am currently flashed to Boost with the device. They flash easily to other carriers the same as previous htc phones. Yes the LTE won't work. Metropcs has LTE and although they are both cdma they use different frequencies and airwaves for LTE so you'd have to settle for 3G at least for the time being.
does it flash easily or do you have to do bad juju with the numbers?
It's pretty easy just search for EVO 4g LTE boostmobile. I recommend to flash to Verizon prepaid

I'm pretty sure it will. I flashed mine to Verizon using the same method as alway. The LTE doesn't really affect it
