Is there anyway on the JB or ICS roms to bump up the volumes of the ringtones and notifications? I notice on the GB roms they are very loud but on the ICS and JB roms sometimes I have difficulty hearing them.

Good question...I know u can choose better quality if/when converting to .ogg files. Don't know about boosting the actual volume

The title not match with your request.
So do you want for ics or non ics? I can attach one.
The apk attached are from ICS cm9, working in ICS beta. Tested by me. Copy it to /system/app & give correct permission. Extract the lib file, copy it to /system/lib/soundfx. Then reboot your phone.

Will try thanks bro!
AOSP 4.0.3 ICS BETA FINAL FIX has working DSP Manager and a lot of other things.
btw the transition animation changing works on ics roms too...at least with KA rom and JJ's one...these are the 2 I have tested changing the animation on

Google have the answer !! Has nobody google in his region?? Damn !
GOOGLE IS GOD!
and by the way this didnt work and the dsp in AOSP beta rom dosent work either. i can defo confirm it not working as i have cm7 on my galaxy ace and i played the same song swaping from phone to phone and ace made sound change but neo did not...... its not a massive problem as my music app "Power Amp" has a built in EQ its just not quite as good as DSP.
I have the same problem.
I flashed a cwm patch of DSP manager which is "work on any ICS roms".
Well it still doesnt work.
DSP manager is a sound enhancing program which universally modifies your device's sound as set by you...it has equalizer, bass enhancer, reverb etc.
^yep i guess if we want dsp in ics we need cm9 from fxp.
Just download 'equalizer' from the Play Store. Works just the same as dsp manager.
Sent from my MT11i using XDA
Yeah i use poweramp which has built in eq but its not the same.
Equalizer from the market doesn't have preamp...and u will notice the volume becomes low if u change different frequencies..
Dsp manager enhances sound instead of lowering the volume...there is no match for it.

this version has worked for me with official 2.3.4 ver .62 unrooted >>> hope it will work with ics
^Thank You but im looking for a dsp for ICS not GB.
works fine in ICS!!! Thanks!!!

I was wondering if any devs out there could make an app that makes your phone vibrate with big bass beats in your music

Ringing is so quiet compared to the speaker that you cant hear it even on full.
I am running on 216 cyanogen mod 9 stock with locked bootloader using atis112 locked bootloader patch
When i play music i can here it and when i select it in the ringtones it is as loud as a song what can be heard but when someone rings me and it is on full volume it is quiet. The best example was i was in a park with friends and everyone could hear my music but when it rang no one could here it even though we were sat next to it.
did u took mp3 as ringtone or native ones?

CM roms have sound bugs. Use Viper4Android

Jb is cool ...no glitches . .jus 1 the status bar swiping...rest is way better than Ics... Itz jus a minor glitch. ....close ur eyes n update to jb....

And crappy audio quality I'm a audio-freak so I can't live with the absolute sh*****t sound quality of JB. HTC has ruined my Jelly Beans :'(
Still ICS Here and probably keep it that way Until S2W is working in a Jb kernel then ill update and flash whatever (maybe sense revolution)

well, looks like your info. is outdated, there are no more audio glitches in JB, HTC has already rooled a seperate update for Audio, , I'm a music freak too.infact audio quality is now Even better than ICS, leave aside the performance, JB is far too better than ICS....

I agree. The only and one bug I have is that strange behaviour of the status bar (transparent, but doesn't follow wallpaper when you swipe to other screens). That's it.
Well it seems like you lot have never compared both os's side by side on the Desire X. Audio quality and volume is far better on ICS then JB
Exactly buddy I have no issues ....JB rocks ....way better than Ics , as I said before , just an unusual behavior of status bar , that's acceptable untill next update

Nope, I tried both and they are even after the fix update (I think JB is even better)
As far as Audio is concerned i wouldn't really care to update unless their was better support and more features in 3rd party music players (poweramp for me).
But the majority of Dx users are on jellybean so most audiomods that will come out on JB not ICS

app to sd issue
iam still using ICS because of the news that i cant move applications installed in phone to SD card like we can do in ICS. Can anybody tell me if there is any way possible to move apps to sd card with rooting in jelly bean ??
thanx in advance.
You can move apps to sd card in jelly bean, and for the apps that can't be moved there is Link2SD.
Next time post your questions in the Q&A sub-forum or ask in the help thread

ohh srry i wrote with rooting instead of without* rooting. Can i transfer my apps to SD in jelly bean without rooting.
thanx u sir in advance
You can move apps to sd card, just not all.
You can try the following adb command to set default install location to sd card:
Code:
adb shell pm set-install-location 2
Can also be changed back to internal as default install location by replacing '2' with '1'
Im just trying to see if anybody had any suggestions on what app i can use to increase my volume a little bit. Im using CM10.2 i knw im not gonna get it like touchwiz had it cus i knw its lower running aosp. I purchased Volume+ a long time ago and used it with every phone i would run cm, however, it doesnt seem to be working anymore like it used. If i try to mess with the eq it would make it worse. Thank
I always have volume issues on cm roms. Video audio is the worst. My fix was to use a tw rom. There are flashable volume booster mods you can use.. Not sure if they work on cm or not.
Hyperdrive tw rom has 3 different audio options in aroma. Normal, slight, and extreme volume boost. There is also Viper 4 audio that has awesome audio settings for media playback.

I use V4A and it boosts the volume significantly. Follow the instructions in this thread and you can experience the full potential of the G4's audio.
