I flashed a battery mod a few days ago, but today I've noticed that after over an hours use the battery was still showing 100% and I knew it couldn't be right so I checked the battery settings and it is on fact 91%
Why has this happened? I know I can restart my phone to correct this but I just want to know why it's showing 100 incorrectly because it could happen again and I'll think I have more battery power than I actually have.

When I restarted it now shows 85% when I in fact have 88% (shocked at how nearly 5% gone after a restart)

Can you give a link to the thread where you take the battery mod?
First guess: it only include the png file but not the modified xml file to make your phone using them...
I downloaded it from the 'Omega Files' app. It's the 'Mixed Theme' battery mod.

Should work if you use Omega rom but may not work properly on another rom
Which rom do you use?
I use ARHD but others had confirmed it working fine on this rom.
Can you recommend any others?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I still use stock rom so I can't recommend a custom rom as I have not use them...
You should post your issue in ARHD thread: if some peoples have managed to make your mod work with this rom, they probably could help you to find the issue...

I ordered a spare batt and now when i try to put the original one back in the phone does not boot unless i plug the charger in first then it works as normal. So every time i take the batt out i have to plug it in to the wall before i can use it? Pretty much destroys the point in why i got a spare battery

I dont know whats happening but provide the following details and someone here might be able to help.
- which ROM are you using? If stock then which region?
- since when did you start getting this problem?
- did this issue arise after you installed any application?
- did you always used the official smassung charger and battery?

Looks like your phone crashed or froze during a period so it couldn't read the battery statistics.
Stock 2.3.4 from south east england always used default charger, not installed any new apps for weeks now. Happend after a crash followed by automatic restart. Random.

My battery life is for some reason very bad. I'm able to completely empty it in a matter of hour just with moderate usage... I had this problem before, solved it with Nandroid restore...
Now I'm running CM9 nightly (1/july/2012) with Siyah 3.3.2. When I disconnect it from charger, it almost immediately starts to empty.
I've tried to wipe battery stats and resetting fuel gauge chip when on 100%, but to no avail...
Can anyone help me?

Try flashing a different kernel but tbh it shouldn't drop that fast... Have you tried using a different battery?

Well, do you have experience with other kernels like Fluxxi or Dorimanx? Maybe it would be better with one of those...
And I havent tried a different battery because I dont have a spare one.

I said that in the first post.

First, you may install Betterbatterystats, so it's easier to understand apk consume battery in the background.
Then you may install the new kernel siayh, the 3.4.1, it seems more parsimonious.
Finally install EXtweaks, excellent utility to set various parameters of the kernel.

I must say that ROM is ok,but I run on smth i dont know why it happened. It looks like pixels are broke, look at the top left corner there is a white line.Any solution to this?
Change your wallpaper first .
jje
Not helping,it showed about 1 hour after i put rom.

Download a pixel test app from the play store, if the line is still present you've got a problem with your screen.

I flashed another ROM no pixels are broken or dmg.
Hi,
It seems a battery bar mode for me... Check the battery settings in Foxhound settings (or it's called Foxhound extra), it's in some additional settings... In battery options/battery bar or similar...

Hum, we not see realy good but the line of my screenshot is exactly at the same area as the OP and it's a battery bar mod. According to the battery percentage and the longer of the line from the OP, pretty sure it's this mode, no?

Need help with the following information. Not too sure what to do about the wake locks running down my battery (only 3 weeks old and flat in 8-9 hours). Battery managers don't seem to be working.

vbus_present means your charger was connected after 100% was reached
I've had my S4 since July and my battery would always last me until at least 8pm every night without needing a charge. Since 4.3 dropped and I've updated to it my battery life has gone to complete crap. I've used all the wakelock apps and none of them show anything out of the ordinary so I thought it was OS related and did a factory reset. That didn't work so I ordered a new battery from Amazon and gave it a 100% charge and this is what it looks like.

I've read countless threads of people with bad battery after update but not one of them has a solution. Should I do another factory reset since I got a new battery? Keep in mind I can't root this phone because it was given to me from Samsung for work so that is out of the question.
I ordered this one because a friend of mine has it and he hasn't had any issues with it so I figured I'd give it a shot http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-SGH-...TF8&qid=1391625055&sr=8-2&keywords=s4+battery
So maybe try another reset/clear cache with the new battery?
I use anker batteries and I think they're great. If you ever thought of trying another one give one of those a shot.

The problem isn't batteries though because it started happening when using my regular oem battery.
Oh I know I was just throwing that out there
