Connection Problem or Invalid MMI Code
I have a Coolpad 7260 phone which has been working perfectly until today.
When I made upgrade to it and after booting I got this message:
USSD code running. Connection problem or invalid MMI code.
The phone still works perfectly except for this issue. My broadband connection via Wi-Fi is being received strongly by the phone.
and i cant go to the download mode
Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this please? Thank you.

when i call the code this appears "Connection Problem or Invalid MMI Code"
i searched for solutions but nothing

Codes only work on touchwiz firmware, aka. Samsung stock or modded if I remember correctly.
Also, if you're using other dialer than original you can get same error.

I have tried both cm 10.2 and pac and every time i try to change the call forwarding settings i get "Call settings error Network or SIM card error." I also get "Call forwarding Connection problem or invalid MMI code" when i try to punch in a code to change call forwarding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Btw I am on a P769.
UPDATE
I went back to 20f and it works I can access and change call forwarding and use mmi codes but when i went back to CM or PAC i get the errors again.
Please help!
Yep, didn't work for me too on CM10.2. Probably something with RIL. There is an error in the radio log but it's cryptic. Not sure I can fix it easily, RIL files are proprietary.
Can somebody try Call Forwarding on p760 CM10.2 ROM and see if it works?

I know when I had the galaxy s2 i could flash radios with the rils removed. Is that possible with this phone and would that fix the problem?
I keep getting the error connection problem or invalid MMI code when trying to run an ussd code and when i try to call someone i keep getting the out of service area how do i fix these two problems
Hi, I recently pruchased a Samsung Galasxy S6 Edge and bought a unlock code from eBay. When trying to enter USSD codes I get the same error everytime 'Connection Problem or Invalid MMI Code'.
I have looked online and tried the common fixes but no joy. Even trying to run a basic *#06# gives the same error. I have tried using a combination of + and , etc before the first digit and after the whole string but still get the same error.
Any ideas? It's driving me mad.
Cheers

With some carriers external codes wont work, so which network is the phone locked to? Contact whoever it is and get it unlocked that way.
Good luck
Hi Duncan, many thanks for your reply. I didn't realise that, I will contact Vodafone in that case. Many thanks.

Hey guys new problem
After flashing the stock Kitkat ROM I realised that the OTA updater doesn't work, so I googled around some more and found the latest (I think) Lollipop ROM (A7-30HC_S127_151125_ROW) and flashed that with the SP flash tool. Everything works fine except for 1 major issue.
The SIM doesn't work and I can't make or receive calls and messages. The SIM is fine, I tested it on another device and I can make and receive calls without any issues. But on the tab it detects the SIM, data works, but calls and messages do not. On the status bar it shows 3G and the little reception bars. When I check the SIM status in settings it shows the network, but the Signal strength is 0, Service state is Out of service but the Cellular network state is Connected.
Is this a problem with the ROM? Do Lollipop ROMs for this tab have any issues like this? Should I downgrade back to Kitkat or try an older Lollipop ROM (like this one A7-30HC_S126_150824_ROW)
Help would be much appreciated
Edit: I just realised that it's saying Invalid IMEI on the lock screen, and when I type *#06# on the dialer it says Invalid
Have I lost the IMEI now?? Is this going to be a permanent problem?
Okay guys I fixed it with the help of a little googling again! XD
Followed the instructions given by the first result when I searched for invalid IMEI
Thankfully the tab had a sticker with the IMEI pasted on the back, so it was easy enough to type the commands with it.
Restarted and now everything is back to normal
