it's not just because you are on a slow network or have wi-fi disabled is it? Try shooting a video with the onboard video recorder or loading a different video file onto your phone and seeing if the playback of that is just fine or whether you get the same issue.
Yes even my video player is not playing saved video. Wat might b the problem.

Just updated the youtube app to 2.2.14:
-uploading over wifi is still broken for a decent length of video, e.g. 1min/88MB. The upload goes for a while, stops, times out, retries, rinse repeat and then fails.
- cannot play videos. A video will play for 3-5 seconds, freeze, act like it's buffering, and then just stop.
Anyone else get this behavior? I'm on 2.3.4 stock, rooted.
Yes same thing has been happening to me. It started yesterday. No videos load at all. I'm on cyanogenmod though. The prebeta

That's the one thing I miss about the iPhone. Yeah, the Youtube app stinks on the iPhone also, but at least you can watch YT videos on the default web browser and *never* have any problems such as buffering.
When I try to watch YT videos on the Android's web browser(s), I get a message that says "Sorry, can't play this video". WTF!
Same here in gobstopper bell...YouTube plays a few seconds then buffers forever

I have the same problem with the latest version as well. Sometimes hang and sometimes causes the phone to hard reboot. I found an older version of youtube that you can sideload.

You should be able to uninstall the update, that's what I did. I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing similar problems. Seems like it .

My GTab is running stock 3.1 I found as a CWM flash here after going to TW and not liking it. I remember being able to use YouTube on tw now that I am back on stock it won't work, justkeeps saying there was a problem loading try again. I doubt they are related somehow but can anyone help me out. I can't find it in the market so I can't uninstall and redownload. Maybe someone can post the apk so I can uninstall and try again? Any other ideas to fix would help.

Do videos work in any app? On my old Gtablet I flashed a "bad" ROM and lost all video playability.
Try clearing data on YOUTUBE as well as FLASH.
Clearing YouTube data worked. Thanks for the suggestion!

I am facing peculiar problem with Youtube on my Galaxy tab 10.1 3.1version. The youtube application plays a different video rather than the depicted one. Mostly the links play adult clips. Whatever i search only those different clips play but not the searched one. Anyone please help.
Hi, I'm running HepHappys port of CM9 for the LG O1. My problem is this: when I take videos the video in the view finder is jittery. When I playback any video, either imported from a computer or taken with the phone camera it says "sorry, this video could not be played do to an error". I have tried using multiple media players to no avail. YouTube pays fine although idk about HQ. If I flash back to CM7 no problems. I've tried playing videos taken in CM7 while running CM9 and still no playback. I had the same problem on AOKP. Does any one else have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

you are facing this problem becasue we are unable to get openmax codecs for full hardware acceleration . so if you record video it will b laggy and if you play hd video it could not be played . if you cant compromise with this problem then i suggest you to stuck with gingerbread because it is better than ics on our phones .

Every ics thread shows this problem and its discussed at length in all of them. No driver from qualcomm. Nothing you can do except software decoding.

Thanks guys! I thought that was the problem.
I tried MX media player and now I can play videos! Thanks
Sorry for creating an unnecessary thread, I've looked through several ics forums and I guys I just missed it.
Thanks

In the default video player when ever i play the video ( in vertical holding)in generally the video should align to the middle but mostly of the time(8 out of 10 times) it is aligning to the top .
I started observing this after the recent official update ,is there any solution for this ?, Does any one of you have the same issue ?
Try clearing the application data of the video player or download a better video player: MX Player.

MX Player is the best use it
Using an alternative video player isn't solving the issue though is it? MX Player solves the problem but doesn't look as polished as the stock player.
I've had the same problem as the OP since flashing different ROMs, it certainly wasn't a problem before. There is also the same problem with YouTube in portrait mode.
Have tried clearing data and factory reset but to no avail.
It is frustrating to say the least...

I also had the same problem. And I belIeve the camera app also had the same problem...I did fix the problem....flash the fastest Rom again and problem solved.
Have tried the latest stock ROM this morning and issue still present. It is however only present on AVI files, not mp4.

Any solution apart from installing a different ROM? Youtube gives me this problem. Quite annoying.
